< Isaayyaas 57 >
1 Namni qajeelaan ni duʼa; kan waan kana yaadatti qabatu tokko iyyuu hin jiru; warri Waaqaaf of kennan ni fudhatamu; akka qajeeltonni waan hamaa jalaa baraaramuuf fudhataman namni tokko iyyuu hin hubatu.
The righteous perish, and no one lays it to heart. Merciful men are taken away, and no one considers that the righteous is taken away from the evil.
2 Namni qajeelummaadhaan jiraatu, gara nagaa seena; isaan siree isaanii irra boqotu.
He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.
3 “Isin garuu yaa ilmaan falfaltittii, isin sanyiin ejjituutii fi sagaagaltuu as kottaa!
“But draw near here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes.
4 Isin eenyutti qoostu? Eenyutti afaan banattu? Eenyuttis arraba baaftu? Isin ilmaan finciltootaa, sanyii sobdootaa mitii?
Whom do you mock? Against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue? Aren’t you children of disobedience and offspring of falsehood,
5 Isin mukkeen qilxuu gidduutti, mukkeen dagaagan hunda jalatti hawwii hamaadhaan gubattan; sululoota keessatti, holqa kattaa keessattis ijoollee keessan qaltan.
you who inflame yourselves amongst the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
6 Dhagaawwan cululuqoon sulula keessaa qooda kee ti; dhugumaan carraan kee isaanuma. Ati dhibaayyuu isaaniif dhangalaafte; aarsaa midhaanii isaaniif dhiʼeessiteerta. Ani wantoota kanneen calʼisee nan ilaalaa?
Amongst the smooth stones of the valley is your portion. They, they are your lot. You have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?
7 Ati siree kee tulluu guddaa fi ol dheeraa irra dhaabbatteerta; aarsaa kee dhiʼeeffachuufis achi ol baate.
On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed. You also went up there to offer sacrifice.
8 Ati cufaa keetii fi michichila cufaa keetii duubaan, yaadannoo kee fannifatteerta. Ana dhiiftee siree kee saaqqatte; yaabdees balʼiftee banattee keessa seente; ati warra siree isaanii jaallatte wajjin walii galte sana qullaa isaanii ilaalte.
You have set up your memorial behind the doors and the posts, for you have exposed yourself to someone besides me, and have gone up. You have enlarged your bed and made you a covenant with them. You loved what you saw on their bed.
9 Ati zayitii ejersaa fudhattee gara Moolek dhaqxe; shittoo kee illee ni baayʼifatte. Ergamoota kee biyya fagootti ergite; siiʼoolittis gad ergite! (Sheol )
You went to the king with oil, increased your perfumes, sent your ambassadors far off, and degraded yourself even to Sheol. (Sheol )
10 Dheerina karaa keetiitiin dadhabdee turte; ati garuu, ‘Wanni kun faayidaa hin qabu’ hin jenne. Jabina haaromfame argatte; kanaafuu ati hin dadhabne.
You were wearied with the length of your ways; yet you didn’t say, ‘It is in vain.’ You found a reviving of your strength; therefore you weren’t faint.
11 “Ati akka na sobduuf akka na hin yaadanneef, yookaan akka waan kana garaatti hin qabanneef, eenyuun sodaattee akkas naate? Ati sababii ani yeroo dheeraa calʼiseef, na sodaachuu dhiifte mitii?
“Whom have you dreaded and feared, so that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven’t I held my peace for a long time, and you don’t fear me?
12 Ani qajeelummaa keetii fi hojii kee ifatti nan baasa; isaan garuu si hin fayyadan.
I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they will not benefit you.
13 Yeroo ati gargaarsaaf iyyitutti, mee waaqonni tolfamoon ati walitti qabatte sun si haa baasan! Bubbeen hunda isaanii fudhatee bada; hafuurri baafatan iyyuu afuufee isaan balleessa. Namni daʼannoo isaa ana godhatu garuu biyyattii ni dhaala; tulluu koo qulqulluu sana illee ni dhuunfata.”
When you cry, let those whom you have gathered deliver you, but the wind will take them. A breath will carry them all away, but he who takes refuge in me will possess the land, and will inherit my holy mountain.”
14 Akkanas ni jedhama: “Tolchaa; tolchaa; daandii qopheessaa! Karaa saba kootii irraa gufuuwwan bubuqqisaa.”
He will say, “Build up, build up, prepare the way! Remove the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.”
15 Inni guddaanii fi ol ol jedhe, kan bara baraan jiraatuu fi kan maqaan isaa qulqulluu jedhamu sun akkana jedha: “Ani iddoo ol kaʼaa fi iddoo qulqulluu irra nan jiraadha; hafuura warra gad qabamanii bayyanachiisuuf, garaa warra gad of qabanii jajjabeessuuf garraamii fi kan hafuuraan gad qabame wajjinis nan jiraadha.
For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16 Ani bara baraan namatti hin falmu; yookaan yeroo hunda hin dheekkamu; yoo akkas taʼe hafuurri namaa, hafuurri namni ani uume baafatu ni citaatii.
For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls whom I have made.
17 Ani dharraa isaa kan cubbuun guutame sanattan dheekkame; isa adabees aariidhaan fuula koo isa duraa nan dhokfadhe; inni garuu karuma fedhii isaatiin itti fufe.
I was angry because of the iniquity of his covetousness and struck him. I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
18 Ani karaa isaa argeera; garuu isa nan fayyisa; ani isa nan qajeelcha; deebisees nan jajjabeessa;
I have seen his ways, and will heal him. I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
19 arraba boossuuwwan Israaʼel keessa jiraatanii irrattis galata nan uuma. Warra fagoo jiraataniif nagaan, warra dhiʼoo jiraataniifis nagaan haa taʼu. Anis isaan nan fayyisa” jedha Waaqayyo.
I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near,” says the LORD; “and I will heal them.”
20 Namoonni hamoon garuu akkuma galaana olii gadi daddarbatamu, kan boqochuu hin dandeenye, kan dambaliin isaa laaqii fi dhoqqee tufuu ti.
But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can’t rest and its waters cast up mire and mud.
21 “Namoota hamoof nagaan hin jiru” jedha Waaqni koo.
“There is no peace”, says my God, “for the wicked.”
