Isaayyaas 46
1 Beel gad jedha; Neboo akka malee gugguufa; waaqonni isaanii tolfamoon kotte duudaa fi horiitti feʼamaniiru; fakkiiwwan isaan qabatanii jooran baʼaa dha; horii dadhabeef baʼaa dha.
Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your loads [were] heavy; [they were] a burden to the weary [beast].
2 Isaan gugguufanii walii wajjin gad jedhu; baʼaa sana oolchuu hin dandaʼan; isaan iyyuu ni boojiʼamu.
They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves have gone into captivity.
3 “Yaa mana Yaaqoob, isin hambaan mana Israaʼel hundi, warri ani gaafa isin gadameessa keessatti uumamtanii jalqabee ol isin qabee gaafa dhalattanii jalqabees isin baadhe hundi dhaggeeffadhaa.
Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne [by me] from the birth, which are carried from the womb:
4 Hamma dulloomtanii arrii baaftanitti, ani isa; isuma isin jiraachisuu dha. Ani isin uumeera; isinan baadhas; ani isinan jiraachisa; isinan baraaras.
And [even] to [your] old age I [am] he; and [even] to hoary hairs will I carry [you]: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver [you].
5 “Isin eenyuun wal bira na qabdu yookaan eenyuun wal na qixxeessitu? Akka wal madaalluufis eenyutti na fakkeessitu?
To whom will ye liken me, and make [me] equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 Namoonni tokko tokko korojoo isaanii keessaa warqee gad naqanii madaalliidhaan meetii madaalu; Waaqa tolfamaa tolchuuf jedhanii tumtuu warqee qacaru; isaanis gad jedhanii sagaduuf.
They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, [and] hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yes, they worship.
7 Ol fuudhanii gatiittii isaaniitti ni baatu; iddoo isaatti ni deebisu; innis achi dhaabata. Inni iddoo sanaa sochoʼuu hin dandaʼu. Yoo namni gara isaatti iyye iyyuu, inni deebii hin kennu; inni rakkoo isaa keessaa isa baasuu hin dandaʼu.
They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yes, [one] shall cry to him, yet he cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 “Yaa finciltoota, waan kana yaadadhaa; qalbiittis qabadhaa; garaa keessan keessas kaaʼadhaa.
Remember this, and show yourselves men: bring [it] again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 Wantoota darban kanneen bara durii yaadadhaa; ani Waaqa; kan biraa hin jiru; ani Waaqa; kan akka koo hin jiru.
Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else; I [am] God, and [there is] none like me,
10 Ani dhuma waan tokkoo jalqabumatti nan labsa; waan amma iyyuu dhufuuf jiru, ani durumaa jalqabee dubbadheera. Ani, ‘Kaayoon koo cimee jiraata; waan na gammachiisu hundas nan hojjedha’ nan jedha.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Baʼa biiftuutii allaattii waa adamsitu, lafa fagootii immoo nama kaayyoo koo fiixaan baasu nan waama. Ani waanan dubbadhe nan guuta; waanan karoorfadhes nan raawwadha.
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yes, I have spoken [it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed [it], I will also perform it.
12 Yaa mata jabeeyyii, isin warri qajeelummaa irraa fagoo jirtan na dhaggeeffadhaa.
Hearken to me, ye stout-hearted, that [are] far from righteousness:
13 Ani qajeelummaa koo nan dhiʼeessa; innis fagoo hin jiru; fayyisuun koos hin barfatu. Ani Xiyooniif fayyina, Israaʼeliif immoo ulfina koo nan kenna.
I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not delay: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
