Isaayyaas 40
1 Jajjabeessaa; saba koo jajjabeessaa; jedha Waaqni keessan.
My puple, be ye coumfortid, be ye coumfortid, seith youre Lord God.
2 Garaa Yerusaalemitti dubbadhaa; hojiin garbummaa ishee akka dhume, gatiin cubbuu ishee akka baafameef, isheen cubbuu ishee hundaaf harka Waaqayyootii adabbii dachaa akka fudhatte isheetti labsaa.
Speke ye to the herte of Jerusalem, and clepe ye it, for the malice therof is fillid, the wickidnesse therof is foryouun; it hath resseyued of the hond of the Lord double thingis for alle hise synnes.
3 Sagalee akkana jedhee iyyu tokko: “Gammoojjii keessatti Waaqayyoof karaa qopheessaa; gammoojjii keessatti Waaqa keenyaaf karaa guddicha qajeelchaa.
The vois of a crier in desert, Make ye redi the weie of the Lord, make ye riytful the pathis of oure God in wildirnesse.
4 Sululli hundi ni guutama; tulluu fi gaarri hundinuus gad deebifama; lafti wal caalu, wal qixxeeffama; lafti buʼaa baʼiinis dirree taʼa.
Ech valey schal be enhaunsid, and ech mounteyn and litil hil schal be maad low; and schrewid thingis schulen be in to streiyt thingis, and scharpe thingis schulen be in to pleyn weies.
5 Ulfinni Waaqayyoo ni mulʼata; sanyiin namaa hundinuus tokkummaadhaan ni arga. Afaan Waaqayyoo dubbateeraatii.”
And the glorie of the Lord schal be schewid, and ech man schal se togidere, that the mouth of the Lord hath spoke.
6 Sagaleen tokko “Iyyi” jedha. Anis, “Maal jedheen iyya?” nan jedhe. “Namni hundi akkuma margaa ti; ulfinni isaa hundis akkuma daraaraa dirree ti.
The vois of God, seiynge, Crie thou. And Y seide, What schal Y crie? Ech fleisch is hei, and al the glorie therof is as the flour of the feeld.
7 Sababii hafuurri Waaqayyo baafatu isaanitti bubbisuuf margi ni coollaga; daraaraanis ni harcaʼa. Dhugumaan namni marguma.
The hei is dried vp, and the flour felle doun, for the spirit of the Lord bleew therynne.
8 Margi ni coollaga; daraaraanis ni harcaʼa; dubbiin Waaqa keenyaa garuu bara baraan ni jiraata.”
Verely the puple is hey; the hey is dried vp, and the flour felle doun; but the word of the Lord dwellith with outen ende.
9 Ati kan Xiyooniif oduu gaarii fiddu, tulluu dheeraatti ol baʼi. Ati kan Yerusaalemiif oduu gaarii fiddu, sagalee kee ol fudhuutii iyyi; ol fudhadhuu iyyi; hin sodaatin; magaalaawwan Yihuudaatiinis, “Waaqni keessan kunoo ti!” jedhi.
Thou that prechist to Sion, stie on an hiy hil; thou that prechist to Jerusalem, enhaunse thi vois in strengthe; enhaunse thou, nyle thou drede; seie thou to the citees of Juda, Lo! youre God.
10 Kunoo, Waaqayyo Gooftaan humnaan ni dhufa; irreen isaa jabaadhaanis ni bulcha. Kunoo, gatiin isaa isa wajjin jira; gatiin inni namaaf kennu isuma harka jira.
Lo! the Lord God schal come in strengthe, and his arm schal holde lordschipe; lo! his mede is with hym, and his werk is bifore hym.
11 Inni akkuma tiksee tokkootti bushaayee isaa tikfata; xobbaallaawwan hoolaas irree isaatiin walitti qaba; ofitti qabees qoma isaatti hammata; haadhota hoolotaa warra hoosisanis suutuma oofa.
As a scheepherd he schal fede his flok, he schal gadere lambreen in his arm, and he schal reise in his bosom; he schal bere scheep `with lomb.
12 Bishaanota konyee isaatiin kan safare yookaan samiiwwan taakkuu isaatiin kan safare eenyu? Biyyoo lafaa safartuudhaan walitti kan qabe yookaan tulluuwwan madaaliidhaan gaarran immoo madaaliidhaan kan madaale eenyu?
Who mat watris in a fist, and peiside heuenes with a spanne? Who peiside the heuynesse of the erthe with thre fyngris, and weide mounteyns in a weihe, and litle hillis in a balaunce?
13 Eenyutu Hafuura Waaqayyoo qajeelchuu dandaʼe? Yookaan namni gorsaa isaa taʼee isa barsiise eenyu?
Who helpide the Spirit of the Lord, ether who was his councelour, and schewide to hym?
14 Waaqayyo hubannaa argachuuf eenyun gorsa gaafate? Daandii qajeelaas eenyutu isa barsiise? Eenyutu beekumsa isaaf kennee yookaan daandii hubannaa isa argisiise?
With whom took he councel, and who lernyde hym, and tauyte hym the path of riytfulnesse, and lernyde hym in kunnyng, and schewyde to him the weie of prudence?
15 Dhugumaan saboonni akkuma copha baaldii keessaa ti; isaan akkuma awwaara madaalii irra jiruutti ilaalamu; inni biyyoota bishaan gidduu illee akkuma biyyoo bullaaʼaatti madaala.
Lo! folkis ben as a drope of a boket, and ben arettid as the tunge of a balaunce; lo!
16 Libaanoon qoraan iddoo aarsaatiif gaʼu hin qabdu, yookaan horiin ishee aarsaa gubamuuf hin gaʼan.
ylis ben as a litil dust, and the Liban schal not suffice to brenne his sacrifice, and the beestis therof schulen not suffice to brent sacrifice.
17 Fuula isaa duratti saboonni hundinuu wayittuu hin lakkaaʼaman; isaan akka ilaalcha isaatti homaattuu hin hedaman; gatiis hin qaban.
Alle folkis ben so bifore hym, as if thei ben not; and thei ben rettid as no thing and veyn thing to hym.
18 Yoos Waaqa eenyutti fakkeessitu? Fakkii kam wajjin isa wal bira qabdu?
To whom therfor maden ye God lijk? ether what ymage schulen ye sette to hym?
19 Waaqa tolfamaa tumtuu sibiilaatu baqsee tolcha; tumtuun warqees warqee itti uffisa; foncaa meetiitiinis ni miidhagsa.
Whether a smyth schal welle togidere an ymage, ether a gold smyth schal figure it in gold, and a worchere in siluer schal diyte it with platis of siluer?
20 Hiyyeessi aarsaa akkasii dhiʼeessuu hin dandeenye tokko muka hin tortorre filata. Waaqa tolfamaa hin jigne dhaabuufis nama ogummaa hojii harkaa qabu barbaaddata.
A wijs crafti man chees a strong tre, and vnable to be rotun; he sekith how he schal ordeyne a symylacre, that schal not be mouyd.
21 Isin hin beektanii? Isin hin dhageenyee? Wanni kun jalqabumaa kaasee isinitti hin himamnee? Isin erga lafti hundeeffamtee jalqabee hin hubannee?
Whether ye witen not? whether ye herden not? whether it was not teld to you fro the begynnynge? whether ye vndurstoden not the foundementis of erthe?
22 Inni geengoo lafaatii ol taaʼa; uummanni lafaas akkuma korophisaa ti. Inni samiiwwan akkuma golgaatti diriirsa; akka dunkaana keessa jiraataniittis isaan diriirsa.
Which sittith on the cumpas of erthe, and the dwelleris therof ben as locustis; which stretchith forth heuenes as nouyt, and spredith abrood tho as a tabernacle to dwelle.
23 Inni ilmaan moototaa faayidaa dhabsiisa; bulchitoota addunyaas harka duwwaa hambisa.
Which yyueth the sercheris of priuytees, as if thei be not, and made the iugis of erthe as a veyn thing.
24 Akkuma isaan dhaabamaniin, akkuma isaan facaafamaniin, akkuma isaan lafa keessatti hidda yaafataniin, inni isaanitti bubbise; isaanis ni coollagan; obombolettiinis akkuma habaqiitti isaan haxaaʼe.
And sotheli whanne the stok of hem is nether plauntid, nether is sowun, nether is rootid in erthe, he bleew sudenli on hem, and thei drieden vp, and a whirle wynd schal take hem awei as stobil.
25 “Isin eenyutti na fakkeessitu? Yookaan eenyutu anaan qixxaata?” jedha Qulqullichi.
And to what thing `ye han licned me, and han maad euene? seith the hooli.
26 Ija keessan ol fudhadhaatii samiiwwan ilaalaa: Eenyutu kanneen hunda uume? Isa tuuta urjiiwwanii tokko tokkoon fidee tokkoo tokkoo isaanii maqaa maqaadhaan waamu sanaa dha. Sababii humna isaa cimaa sanaatii fi jabina isaa guddaa sanaatiif isaan keessaa tokko iyyuu hin dhabamu.
Reise youre iyen an hiy, and se ye, who made these thingis of nouyt; which ledith out in noumbre the kniythod of tho, and clepith alle bi name, for the multitude of his strengthe, and stalworthnesse, and vertu; nether o residue thing was.
27 Yaa Yaaqoob, yaa Israaʼel, ati maaliif, “Karaan koo Waaqayyo duraa dhokateera; haajaan koos fuula Waaqa koo duratti tuffatameera” jettee guungumta?
Whi seist thou, Jacob, and spekist thou, Israel, My weie is hid fro the Lord, and my doom passide fro my God?
28 Ati hin beektuu? Ati hin dhageenyee? Waaqayyo Waaqa bara baraa ti; inni Uumaa handaara lafaa ti. Inni hin dadhabu yookaan haara hin galfatu; hubannaa isaas kan qoree bira gaʼu hin jiru.
Whether thou knowist not, ether herdist thou not? God, euerlastynge Lord, that made of nouyt the endis of erthe, schal not faile, nether schal trauele, nether enserchyng of his wisdom is.
29 Inni dadhabdootaaf jabina kenna; nama laafaaf immoo humna dabala.
That yyueth vertu to the weeri, and strengthe to hem that ben not, and multiplieth stalworthnesse.
30 Ijoolleen iyyuu ni dadhabu; ni bututus; dargaggoonnis gufatanii kufu;
Children schulen faile, and schulen trauele, and yonge men schulen falle doun in her sikenesse.
31 Warri Waaqayyoon abdatan garuu humna isaanii ni haaromfatu. Isaan akkuma risaa qoochoodhaan barrisu; ni fiigu; hin dadhaban; ni deemu; hin bututan.
But thei that hopen in the Lord, schulen chaunge strengthe, thei schulen take fetheris as eglis; thei schulen renne, and schulen not trauele; thei schulen go, and schulen not faile.
