Isaayyaas 2
1 Wanni Isaayyaas ilmi Amoos waaʼee Yihuudaatii fi Yerusaalem arge kanaa dha:
The things that Isaiah son of Amoz perceived in a vision, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Bara dhumaa keessa, tulluun mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo tulluuwwan hunda keessaa ol dheeratee dhaabata; inni tulluuwwan caalaa ol ol jedha; saboonni hundinuu gara isaatti yaaʼu.
It will be in the last days that the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established as the highest of the mountains, and it will be raised up above the hills, and all the nations will flow to it.
3 Namoonni baayʼeen dhufanii akkana jedhu; “Kottaa gara tulluu Waaqayyoo, gara mana Waaqa Yaaqoob ol baanaa. Inni akka nu daandii isaa irra deemnuuf karaa isaa nu barsiisa.” Seerri Xiyoon keessaa, dubbiin Waaqayyoo immoo Yerusaalem keessaa ni baʼa.
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
4 Inni saboota gidduutti murtii kenna; namoota hedduudhaafis ni murteessa. Isaan goraadee isaanii tumanii maarashaa tolfatu; eeboo isaaniis tumanii haamtuu tolfatu. Sabni tokko saba biraatti goraadee hin luqqifatu; yookaan lolaaf nama hin leenjifatan.
He will judge between the nations and will render decisions for many peoples; they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any longer.
5 Yaa mana Yaaqoob, kottaa ifa Waaqayyoo keessa deddeebinaa.
House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
6 Kanaafuu saba kee, mana Yaaqoob dhiifteerta. Isaan bartee Baʼa Biiftuutiin guutamaniiru; akkuma Filisxeemotaa falfala hojjetu; duudhaa namoota ormaattis ni cichu.
For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east and they practice divination like the Philistines, and they shake hands with sons of foreigners.
7 Biyyi isaanii meetii fi warqeen guutamteerti; qabeenyi isaanii dhuma hin qabu. Biyyi isaanii fardeeniin guutamteerti; gaariiwwan isaaniis dhuma hin qaban.
Their land is full of silver and gold, and is there no limit to their wealth; their land also is full of horses, nor is there limit to their chariots.
8 Biyyi isaanii waaqota tolfamoodhaan guutamteerti; isaan hojiidhuma harka isaanii, waanuma qubni isaanii tolcheef sagadu.
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the craftsmanship of their own hands, things that their own fingers have made.
9 Kanaafuu namni gad qabama; ilmaan namaa gad deebifamu; ati isaaniif hin dhiisin.
The people will be bowed down, and individuals will fall down; therefore do not raise them up.
10 Argamuu Waaqayyoo isa sodaachisaa fi surraa ulfina isaa duraa, kattaa keessa lixu; lafa keessas dhokadhu!
Go into the rocky places and hide in the ground from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty.
11 Iji nama of tuuluu gad qabama; of jajuun namootaas gad deebifama; gaafas Waaqayyo qofatu ol ol jedha.
The lofty gaze of man will be brought low, and the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
12 Waaqayyoon Waan Hunda Dandaʼu warra of jajuu fi warra of tuulu hundaaf, warra ol ol jedhan hundaaf guyyaa tokko qaba; isaanis gad deebifamu.
For there will be a day of Yahweh of hosts against everyone who is proud and raised up, and against everyone who is arrogant—and he will be brought down—
13 Inni birbirsa Libaanoon dheeraa fi guddaa hundaaf, qilxuu Baashaan hundaaf,
and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan.
14 tulluuwwan ol dhedheeroo hundaaf, gaarran ol dhedheeroo hundaaf,
That day of Yahweh of hosts will be against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 gamoo gurguddaa hundaaf, dallaa dhagaadhaan jabeeffamee ijaarame hundaaf,
and against every high tower, and against every impregnable wall,
16 doonii daldalaa hundaa fi waan gatii guddaa qabu hundaaf guyyaa murteeffate tokko qaba.
and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all beautiful sailing vessels.
17 Of tuulummaan namaa gad qabama; of jajuun namootaas gad deebifama; gaafas Waaqayyo qofatu ol ol jedha;
The pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will fall; Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
18 waaqonni tolfamoon guutumaan guutuutti ni barbadeeffamu.
The idols will completely pass away.
19 Namoonni yommuu inni lafa raasuuf kaʼutti, sodaachisa Waaqayyootii fi surraa isaa ulfina qabeessa sana duraa gara holqa kattaa keessaattii fi boolla lafa keessaatti ni baqatu.
Men will go into the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
20 Gaafas namoonni waaqota isaanii tolfamoo kanneen waaqeffachuuf jedhanii meetii fi warqee irraa tolfatan sana tuqaa fi simbira halkaniitiif darbatu.
On that day people will throw away their idols of silver and of gold that they have made for themselves to worship—they will throw them away to the moles and bats.
21 Isaan yommuu inni lafa raasuuf kaʼutti sodaachisa Waaqayyootii fi surraa ulfina isaa duraa gara holqa guddaa kattaawwan keessaatii fi baqaqaa kattaatti ni baqatu.
The people will go into the crevices in the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
22 Nama duʼa hin oolle, kan hafuurri isaa funyaan irra jiru abdachuu dhiisaa. Inni maalitti lakkaaʼama?
Stop trusting in man, whose life-breath is in his nostrils, for what does he amount to?
