< Ibroota 12 >

1 Kanaafuu nu waan dhuga baatota akka duumessa guddaa akkanaatiin marfamneef kottaa baʼaa hunda, cubbuu xaxee nu qabates of irraa baafnee gannaa; dorgommii fuula keenya dura jirus obsaan jabaannee fiignaa;
For that reason, since we are surrounded by such a great crowd of people who gave evidence of their trust in God, let's get rid of everything that holds us back, the seductive sins that trip us up, and let's keep on running the race placed before us.
2 kottaa Yesuus isa jalqabaa fi fiixaan baasaa amantii keenyaa taʼe sana irra ija keenya kaaʼannaa. Innis gammachuu fuula isaa dura jiruuf jedhee qaanii fannoo tuffachuun fannoo obsee mirga teessoo Waaqaa taaʼe.
We should keep on looking to Jesus, the one who begins and completes our trust in God. Because of the joy ahead of him Jesus endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and sat down at the right hand of God's throne.
3 Isin akka dadhabdanii abdii hin kutanneef isa mormii cubbamoota isa irra gaʼe akkasii obse sana yaadatti qabadhaa.
Think about Jesus who endured such hostility from sinful people so you don't grow tired and become discouraged.
4 Isin amma iyyuu walʼaansoo cubbuu wajjin gootan keessatti hamma dhiiga dhangalaasuutti jabaattanii hin mormine.
Your resistance so far hasn't cost you blood as you fight against sin.
5 Dubbii jajjabinaa kan akkuma ilmaaniitti isinitti dubbatu sana irraanfattaniirtu; innis akkana jedha: “Yaa ilma ko, adabbii Gooftaa hin tuffatin; yommuu inni si ifatus abdii hin kutatin;
Have you forgotten God's appeal to you when he reasons with you as his children? He says, “My child, don't treat the Lord's discipline lightly, and don't give up when he corrects you either.
6 Gooftaan warra jaallatu ni adabaatii; inni nama akka ilmaatti ilaalu kam iyyuu ni adaba.”
The Lord disciplines everyone he loves, and he punishes everyone he welcomes as his child.”
7 Rakkina akkuma adabbiitti obsaa; Waaqni akka ilmaan isaatti isin adabaatii. Ilmi abbaan isaa hin adabne ilma akkamii ti?
Be patient as you experience God's discipline because he is treating you as his children. What child doesn't experience a father's discipline?
8 Isin yoo adabbii ijoolleen hundinuu ittiin adabaman keessatti hin hirmaanne isin diqaalota malee ijoollee dhugaa miti.
If you are not disciplined, (which everyone has experienced), then you are illegitimate and not true children.
9 Kana malees nu hundinuu abbootii foonii kanneen nu adaban qabna turre; isaan kabajnas turre. Yoos Abbaa hafuurotaatiif immoo hammam caalaa ajajamnee jiraachuu qabna ree!
For if we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn't we even more be subject to the discipline of our spiritual Father which leads to life?
10 Abbootiin keenya akkuma isaanitti gaarii fakkaatetti yeroo gabaabaaf nu adabaa turan; Waaqni garuu akka nu qulqullummaa isaa keessatti hirmaannuuf faayidaa keenyaaf jedhee nu adaba.
They disciplined us for a short while as they thought appropriate, but God does so for our benefit in order that we can share his holy character.
11 Adabbiin hundinuu yeroo sana waan nama gaddisiisu malee waan nama gammachiisu hin fakkaatu. Ergasii garuu warra adabbii sanaan leenjifamaniif ija qajeelummaa fi nagaa kenna.
When it happens, all discipline seems painful and not something to be happy about. But later on it produces peace in those who have been trained in this way so that they do what is good and right.
12 Kanaafuu irree laafee fi jilba dadhabe jabeessaa.
So strengthen your feeble hands, and your weak knees!
13 Naafti akka fayyuuf malee akka karaa irraa hin jalʼanneef, “Miilla keessaniif daandii qajeelaa baafadhaa.”
Make straight paths to walk on, so that those who are crippled won't lose their way, but will be healed.
14 Nama hunda wajjin nagaadhaan jiraachuu fi qulqulluu taʼuuf tattaaffadhaa; qulqullummaan malee namni kam iyyuu Gooftaa arguu hin dandaʼuutii.
Do your best to live in peace with everybody, and look for holiness—if you don't have this you won't see the Lord.
15 Nama kamitti iyyuu ayyaanni Waaqaa akka hin hirʼanne of eeggadhaa; hiddi hadhaaʼaan biqilee rakkina akka hin uumnee fi namoota baayʼees hin xureessineef of eeggadhaa.
Make sure that none of you lack God's grace, in case some cause of bitterness arises to give trouble and end up corrupting many of you.
16 Namni kam iyyuu akka Esaawu isa mirga hangafummaa isaa nyaata tokkittiitti gurgurate sanaa sagaagaltuu yookaan nama Waaqatti hin bulle hin taaneef of eeggadhaa.
Make sure there's nobody who is sexually immoral, or irreligious, like Esau was. He sold his birthright for a single meal.
17 Inni ergasii yeroo eebba sana dhaaluu barbaadetti akka didame isin ni beektu. Inni yoo eebba sana imimmaaniin barbaade illee geeddarama tokko illee fiduu hin dandeenye.
You remember that even when he wanted to receive the blessing later on he was refused. Even though he really tried, and cried hard, Esau couldn't change what he had done.
18 Isin gara tulluu tuqamuu dandaʼuu fi ibiddi irraa bobaʼu, gara dukkanaa, gara dimimmisaa fi bubbee hin geenye;
You haven't arrived at a physical mountain that can be touched, that burned with fire, to a stormy place of black darkness,
19 gara sagalee malakataatii fi gara sagalee dubbii dubbatuu hin geenye; warri isa dhagaʼanis akka dubbiin biraa dabalamee isaanitti hin dubbatamne kadhatan.
where the sound of a trumpet and a voice speaking was heard—and those who heard the voice begged never to hear it speak to them again.
20 Isaan waan, “Bineensi iyyuu yoo tulluu sana tuqe dhagaadhaan tumamee haa ajjeefamu” jedhamee ajajame sana obsuu hin dandeenyeetii.
For they couldn't take what they were told to do, such as, “Even if a farm animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”
21 Wanti achitti mulʼates waan sodaachisaa taʼeef Museen, “Ani sodaadhaan hollachaan jira” jedhe.
The sight was so terrifying that Moses himself said, “I'm so scared I'm shaking!”
22 Isin garuu gara Tulluu Xiyoon, gara magaalaa Waaqa jiraataa jechuunis Yerusaalem ishee samii keessaa dhuftaniirtu. Gara ergamoota kumaatama gammachuun walitti qabamanii dhuftaniirtu;
But you have arrived at Mount Zion, the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem, with its thousands and thousands of angels.
23 gara waldaa kiristaanaa hangafoota maqaan isaanii samii keessatti barreeffamee dhuftaniirtu. Gara Waaqa Abbaa Murtii waan hundaa, gara hafuurota namoota qajeeltota warra mudaa hin qabne taasifamanii,
You have come to the church of the firstborn whose names are written down in heaven, to God, the judge of everyone, and to those good people whose lives are complete.
24 gara Yesuus araarsaa gidduu galeessa kakuu haaraa, gara dhiiga facaafame kan dubbii dhiigni Abeel dubbatu sana caalaa dubbatuu dhuftaniirtu.
You have come to Jesus, who shares with us the new agreed relationship, to the sprinkled blood that means more than that of Abel.
25 Isinis akka isa dubbachaa jiru sana hin didneef of eeggadhaa. Erga isaan yeroo isa lafa irratti isaan akeekkachiise sana didanitti jalaa hin baʼin, nu immoo yoo isa samii irraa nu akeekkachiisu sana irraa gara galle akkamitti jalaa baʼuu dandeenya ree?
Make sure you don't reject the one who is speaking! If they didn't escape when they rejected God on earth, it is even more certain that we won't escape if we turn away from God who warns us from heaven!
26 Yeroo sanatti sagaleen isaa lafa sochoose; amma garuu inni, “Ani ammas yeroo tokko lafa qofa utuu hin taʼin samiiwwanis nan sochoosa” jedhee waadaa galeera.
Back then God's voice shook the earth, but his promise is now: “One more time I'm going to shake not only the earth, but heaven too.”
27 Dubbiin, “Ammas yeroo tokko” jedhu kun akka wanni hin sochoofamne hafee jiraatuuf, wanni sochoofamu jechuunis wanni uumame baduu isaa argisiisa.
This expression, “one more time,” indicates that all creation that is shaken is removed so that everything that is not shaken may remain.
28 Kanaafuu nu waan mootummaa hin sochoone argannuuf kottaa haa galateeffannu! Kabajaa fi sodaadhaanis karaa fudhatamaa taʼeen Waaqa haa waaqeffannu;
Since we're receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have a gracious attitude, so we can serve God in a way that pleases him, with reverence and respect.
29 Waaqni keenya ibidda gubee balleessuudhaatii.
For “our God is a fire that consumes.”
