Uumama 13
1 Abraam niitii isaatii fi waan qabu hunda wajjin Gibxii kaʼee Negeebitti ol baʼe; Looxis isa wajjin deeme.
And he went up Abram from Egypt he and wife his and all that [belonged] to him and Lot with him the Negev towards.
2 Abraamis horiin, meetii fi warqeedhaan akka malee soorome.
And Abram [was] wealthy very in livestock in silver and in gold.
3 Innis Negeebii kaʼee hamma Beetʼeel, iddoo Beetʼeelii fi Aayi gidduu, lafa dunkaanni isaa jalqabatti ture sana gaʼutti iddoo tokkoo gara iddoo biraatti deemsa isaa itti fufe;
And he went to journeyings his from [the] Negev and to Beth-el to the place where it had been there (tent his *Q(K)*) at the beginning between Beth-el and between Ai.
4 iddoon sunis lafa inni yeroo jalqabaatiif iddoo aarsaa itti ijaaree dha. Abraamis achitti maqaa Waaqayyoo waammate.
To [the] place of the altar which he had made there at the former [time] and he called there Abram on [the] name of Yahweh.
5 Loox namichi Abraam wajjin deemaa ture suni akkasuma bushaayee, saawwanii fi dunkaanota qaba ture.
And also to Lot who was traveling with Abram it be[longed] sheep and cattle and tents.
6 Yeroo isaan walii wajjin jiraatanitti lafti isaanitti dhiphatte; sababii qabeenyi isaanii akka malee guddateefis isaan wal bira jiraachuu hin dandeenye.
And not it supported them the land to dwell together for it was possession[s] their much and not they were able to dwell together.
7 Kanaafuu tiksoota Abraamii fi tiksoota Loox gidduutti lolli uumame. Yeroo sanatti Kanaʼaanonnii fi Feerzonnis biyya sana keessa jiraachaa turan.
And it was quarreling between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Abram and between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Lot and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] then [was] dwelling in the land.
8 Abraamis Looxiin akkana jedhe; “Nu waan obboloota taaneef, siʼii fi ana gidduu yookaan tiksoota keetii fi tiksoota koo gidduu lolli hin jiraatin.
And he said Abram to Lot may not please there be strife between me and between you and between herdsmen my and between herdsmen your for [are] men brothers we.
9 Lafti hundi fuula kee dura jirti mitii? Kottu gargari godaannaa. Yoo ati gara bitaatti deemte, ani gara mirgaatti nan deema; yoo ati gara mirgaatti deemte immoo ani gara bitaatti nan deema.”
¿ Not [is] all the land before you separate please from with me if the left so let me go right and if the right and I will go left.
10 Looxis ol jedhee ilaalee akka hurufni Yordaanos hundi akkuma iddoo biqiltuu Waaqayyoo akkuma biyya Gibxi kan karaa Zoʼaar irra jiru sanaa bishaan baayʼee qabu arge. Kunis utuu Waaqayyo Sodoomii fi Gomoraa hin balleessiniin dura ture.
And he lifted up Lot eyes his and he saw all [the] valley of the Jordan that all of it [was] well-watered before - destroyed Yahweh Sodom and Gomorrah like [the] garden of Yahweh like [the] land of Egypt going you Zoar.
11 Kanaafuu Loox hurufa Yordaanos guutummaatti ofii isaatii filatee gara baʼa biiftuutti godaane. Jarri lamaanis akkasitti gargari baʼan.
And he chose for himself Lot all [the] valley of the Jordan and he set out Lot from [the] east and they separated each from with brother his.
12 Abraam biyya Kanaʼaan keessa jiraate; Loox immoo magaalaawwan dirree irra jiran gidduu jiraatee dunkaana isaa Sodoom bira dhaabbate.
Abram he dwelt in [the] land of Canaan and Lot he dwelt in [the] cities of the valley and he moved tent to Sodom.
13 Warri Sodoom jalʼoota fuula Waaqayyoo duratti akka malee cubbuu hojjetan turan.
And [the] people of Sodom [were] wicked and sinful to Yahweh exceedingly.
14 Erga Loox isa biraa godaanee booddee Waaqayyo Abraamiin akkana jedhe; “Iddoo amma jirtu kanaa ija kee ol fudhadhuutii gara kaabaa fi kibbaa, gara baʼa biiftuutii fi lixa biiftuu ilaali.
And Yahweh he said to Abram after separated Lot from with him lift up please eyes your and look from the place where you [are] there north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and west-ward.
15 Anis biyya ati argitu kana hunda bara baraan siʼii fi sanyii keetiif nan kenna.
For all the land which you [are] seeing to you I will give it and to offspring your until perpetuity.
16 Ani sanyii kee akkuma biyyoo lafaa nan baayʼisa; yoo namni biyyoo lafaa lakkaaʼuu dandaʼe, sanyiin kee akkasuma lakkaaʼamuu dandaʼa.
And I will make offspring your like [the] dust of the earth which - if he will be able anyone to count [the] dust of the earth also offspring your it will numbered.
17 Kaʼiitii dheerinaa fi balʼina lafa kanaa keessa dedeemi; ani isa siifin kennaatii.”
Arise walk about in the land to length its and to breadth its for to you I will give it.
18 Kanaafuu Abraam dunkaana isaa buqqifatee qilxuuwwan Mamree kanneen Kebroonitti argaman bira jiraachuu dhaqe; achittis iddoo aarsaa Waaqayyoof tolche.
And he moved tent Abram and he went and he dwelt at [the] great trees of Mamre which [are] at Hebron and he built there an altar to Yahweh.
