1 Waaqayyo akka dubbiin Waaqayyoo kan afaan Ermiyaasiin dubbatame sun raawwatamuuf jedhee bara Qiiros mooticha Faares keessa waggaa jalqabaatti akka inni mootummaa isaa hunda keessa labsii tokko dabarsuu fi akka labsiin sunis barreeffamuuf hafuura Qiiros mooticha Faares ni kakaase; labsiin sunis akkana jedha:
In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, to fulfil the word of Yahweh from the mouth of Jeremiah, Yahweh aroused the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia, and he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, moreover also in writing, saying:
2 “Qiiros mootichi Faares akkana jedha: “‘Waaqayyo Waaqni samii mootummoota lafa irraa hunda naaf kenneera; akka ani Yihuudaa keessatti Yerusaalemitti mana qulqullummaa isaaf ijaaruufis na muudeera.
Thus, saith Cyrus, king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth, hath Yahweh God of the heavens, given to me, —and, he himself, hath laid charge upon me, to build for him a house, in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Saba isaa keessaa nama gidduu keessanitti argamu kam iyyuu Waaqni isaa isa wajjin haa taʼu; innis gara Yerusaalem ishee Yihuudaa keessaa sanaa ol baʼee mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyo Waaqa Israaʼel, Waaqa Yerusaalem keessa jiraatu sanaa haa ijaaru.
Who is there among you of all his people? His God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, —and build the house of Yahweh God of Israel, (he, is God!) which is in Jerusalem;
4 Warra hafanii iddoo kam iyyuu jiraatan hundaaf sabni biyya isaan keessa jiraatan sanaa kennaa fedhiidhaan mana qulqullummaa Waaqaa kan Yerusaalem keessa jiru sanaaf kennuu irratti dabalee meetii fi warqee, miʼaa fi horii gumaachuudhaan isa haa gargaaran.’”
And, whosoever is left, of all the places where he doth sojourn, let the men of his place uphold him, with silver and with gold, and with goods and with beasts, —along with a voluntary offering for the house of God, which is in Jerusalem.
5 Ergasii hangafoonni maatii Yihuudaa fi Beniyaam, luboonnii fi Lewwonni jechuunis namoonni Waaqni garaa isaanii kakaase hundi dhaqanii mana Waaqayyoo kan Yerusaalem keessaa sana ijaaruuf qophaaʼan.
Then arose the ancestral chiefs of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, —even every one whose spirit God had aroused, to go up to build the house of Yahweh, which was in Jerusalem;
6 Olloonni isaanii hundinuus kennaa fedhiidhaan kennan irratti dabalanii miʼa meetii fi warqee, qodaa fi horii akkasumas kennaawwan gatii guddaa baasan gumaachuudhaan isaan gargaaran.
and, all they who were round about them, strengthened their hands, with utensils of silver, with gold with goods and with beasts, and with precious things, —besides any thing he had volunteered.
7 Kana malees Qiiros Mootichi miʼoota mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo kanneen Nebukadnezar Yerusaalemii guurratee mana Waaqa isaa keessa kaaʼatee ture sana gad ni baase.
And, King Cyrus, brought forth the utensils of the house of Yahweh, —which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth from Jerusalem, and put in the house of his gods: —
8 Qiiros mootichi Faares akka Mitredaat itti gaafatamaan qabeenyaa sun miʼa sana fidee Sheeshbazaar bulchaa Yihuudaatiif lakkaaʼu godhe.
yea Cyrus king of Persia brought them forth, by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, —and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, a leader of Judah.
9 Miʼoonni sunis: saanii warqee 30, saanii meetii 1,000, distii meetii 29,
And, these, were the numbers of them, —basins of gold, thirty, basins of silver, a thousand, knives, twenty-nine;
10 waciitii warqee 30, waciitii meetii kan qadaada qabu 410, miʼa gosa biraa 1,000.
bowls of gold, thirty, bowls of silver, of a secondary sort, four hundred and ten, —other utensils, a thousand.
11 Walumaa galatti miʼa warqeetii fi kan meetii 54,000 ture. Sheeshbazaaris miʼoota kanneen hunda yeroo boojiʼamtoota Baabilonii baasee Yerusaalemitti geessetti guuree deeme.
All the utensils, in gold and silver, were five thousand and four hundred, —the whole, did Sheshbazzar bring up with the upbringing of the exile, out of Babylon unto Jerusalem.
