1 “Gosoonni maqaan isaanii galmeeffame kanneenii dha: “Karaa daarii kaabaatiin gosti Daan qooda tokko qabaata; kunis daandii Hetiloon qabatee hamma qaxxaamura Hamaatitti deema; Hazar Eenaanii fi daariin Damaasqoo kan gara kaabaa inni Hamaatitti aanee jiru daarii isaa kan karaa baʼaatii jalqabee hamma karaa lixa biiftuutti jiruu taʼa.
And these are the names of the tribes. From the north end by the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-Enan, the border of Damascus northward toward Hamath; and to him belongeth from the east side to the west side: Dan, one tribe.
2 Gosti Aasheer qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Daan kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side: Asher, one tribe.
3 Gosti Niftaalem qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Aasheer kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side: Naphtali, one tribe.
4 Gosti Minaasee qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Niftaalem kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side: Manasseh, one tribe.
5 Gosti Efreem qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Minaasee kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side: Ephraim, one tribe.
6 Gosti Ruubeen qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Efreem kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side: Reuben, one tribe.
7 Gosti Yihuudaa qooda tokko qabaata; kunis biyya Ruubeen kan baʼaa hamma lixaatti jiru daangessa.
And by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side: Judah, one tribe.
8 “Biyyi baʼa biiftuutii gara lixa biiftuutti Yihuudaa daangessu qooda isin kennaa addaa gootanii dhiʼeessuu qabdanii dha. Balʼinni isaas dhundhuma 25,000, dheerinni isaa immoo baʼa biiftuutii gara lixa biiftuutti qooda gosaa keessaa isa tokko wajjin wal qixxee taʼa; iddoon qulqulluun sunis biyya sana gidduutti argama.
And by the border of Judah, from the east side to the west, shall be the oblation which ye shall offer, five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other portions from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.
9 “Qoodni addaa kan isin Waaqayyoof dhiʼeessuu qabdan dheerinni isaa dhundhuma 25,000, balʼinni isaa immoo dhundhuma 10,000 taʼa.
The oblation which ye shall offer to Jehovah shall be five and twenty thousand reeds in length, and ten thousand in breadth.
10 Kunis lubootaaf qooda qulqulluu taʼa. Innis karaa kaabaatiin dhundhuma 25,000 dheerata; karaa lixa biiftuutiin dhundhuma 10,000 balʼata; karaa baʼa biiftuun dhundhuma 10,000 balʼata; karaa kibbaatiin immoo dhundhuma 25,000 dheerata. Manni qulqullummaa Waaqayyoos gidduu isaatti argama.
And the holy oblation shall be for these: for the priests toward the north five and twenty thousand reeds in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length. And the sanctuary of Jehovah shall be in the midst thereof.
11 Kunis luboota qulqullaaʼoo jechuunis ilmaan Zaadoq kanneen amanamummaadhaan na tajaajilaa turan kanneen yeroo Israaʼeloonni karaa irraa badanitti akka Lewwonni karaa irraa badan sana karaa irraa hin badin sanaaf taʼa.
It shall belong to the priests, the sanctified ones, to the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, who went not astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
12 Innis qooda biyyattii isa qulqulluu irraa jechuunis qooda qulqulluu kan qooda hunda caalaa qulqulluu taʼe irraa kan biyya Lewwotaa daangessu sun isaaniif kennaa addaa taʼa.
And it shall belong to them as an oblation out of the oblation of the land, as most holy, by the border of the Levites.
13 “Biyya lubootaa biraan Lewwonni lafa dheerinni isaa dhundhuma 25,000, balʼinni isaa immoo dhundhuma 10,000 qabaatu. Walumaa galatti dheerinni isaa dhundhuma 25,000 balʼinni isaa immoo dhundhuma 10,000 taʼa.
And over against the border of the priests, the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand reeds in length and ten thousand in breadth; the whole length five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.
14 Isaanis lafa sana irraa waan tokko illee gurguruu yookaan geeddaruu hin qaban. Lafti kun biyyattii keessaa filatamaa dha; sababii Waaqayyoof qulqulluu taʼeefis harka nama biraatti darbuu hin qabu.
And they shall not sell of it; neither shall they exchange or transfer the first fruits of the land; for it is holy to Jehovah.
15 “Lafti hafe kan balʼinni isaa dhundhuma 5,000, dheerinni isaa immoo dhundhuma 25,000 taʼe faayidaa magaalattiitiif oola; kunis ijaarsa manneeniitii fi lafa dheedaatiif taʼa. Magaalattiin immoo isa gidduu jiraatti;
And the five thousand which are left in breadth, over against the five and twenty thousand in length, shall be common land for the city, for habitation and for suburbs. And the city shall be in the midst of it.
16 magaalattiinis karaa kaabaatiin dhundhuma 4,500, karaa kibbaatiin dhundhuma 4,500, karaa baʼaatiin dhundhuma 4,500 karaa lixaatiinis dhundhuma 4,500 balʼatti.
And this shall be the measure thereof: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.
17 Magaalattiin kaabaan dhundhuma 250, kibbaan dhundhuma 250, baʼaan dhundhuma 250, dhiʼaanis dhundhuma 250 lafa dheedaa ni qabaatti.
And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.
18 Wanni lafa sana irraa hafe kan kutaa qulqulluu daangessuu fi dheerina lafa sanaa qabatee jiru karaa baʼaatiin dhundhuma 10,000, karaa dhiʼaatiin illee dhundhuma 10,000 ni taʼa. Oomishni lafa sanaas hojjettoota magaalattiitiif nyaata ni taʼa.
And as to the residue in length, over against the holy portion, ten thousand eastward and ten thousand westward, over against the holy portion, its increase shall be for food to them that serve the city.
19 Hojjettoonni magaalattii kanneen lafa qotatan gosoota Israaʼel hunda keessaa dhufu.
And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.
20 Kutaan lafa sanaa hundi roga wal qixxee afur qabaata; tokkoon tokkoon roga sanaas dhundhuma 25,000 taʼa. Qabeenya magaalaa wajjinis akka kennaa addaa taʼuuf kutaa qulqulluu hambisaa.
All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand reeds by five and twenty thousand; ye shall offer the holy oblation, four-square, together with the possession of the city.
21 “Wanni karaa kutaa qulqulluu lamaanii fi qabeenya magaalattii irraa hafe bulchaa sanaaf taʼa. Innis karaa baʼaa kutaa qulqulluu kan dhundhuma 25,000 dheeratu sana irraa jalqabee gara daangaa baʼaatti, karaa dhiʼaa immoo lafa dhundhuma 25,000 dheeratu sana irraa jalqabee gara daangaa dhiʼaatti balʼata. Lafti dheerina qoodawwan gosaa qabatee jiru sun lamaan bulchaa sanaaf taʼa; kutaan qulqulluun iddoo qulqulluu kan mana qulqullummaa wajjin jiru sun isaan gidduutti argama.
And the residue on both sides of the holy oblation and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand to the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand to the west border, by the portions of the tribes, shall be for the prince; and the holy oblation and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
22 Kanaafuu qabeenyi Lewwotaatii fi qabeenyi magaalattii lafa bulchaa sanaaf kenname sana walakkaatti argama. Lafti bulchaa sanaaf kenname sunis daangaa Yihuudaatii fi daangaa Beniyaam gidduutti argama.
What is left from the possession of the Levites and of the city, which are between what belongs to the prince, between the borders of Judah and Benjamin, shall belong to the prince.
23 “Qoodni gosoota hafanii kan armaan gad jiruu dha: “Gosti Beniyaam qooda tokko qabaata; kunis gara baʼaatii hamma gara dhiʼaatti balʼata.
And as for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west side: Benjamin, one tribe.
24 Gosti Simiʼoon qooda tokko qabaata; kunis baʼaa hamma lixaatti biyya Beniyaam daangessa.
And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side: Simeon, one tribe.
25 Gosti Yisaakorii qooda tokko qabaata; kunis baʼaa hamma lixaatti biyya Simiʼoon daangessa.
And by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side: Issachar, one tribe.
26 Gosti Zebuuloon qooda tokko qabaata; kunis baʼaa hamma lixaatti biyya Yisaakor daangessa.
And by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side: Zebulon, one tribe.
27 Gosti Gaad qooda tokko qabaata; kunis baʼaa hamma lixaatti biyya Zebuuloon daangessa.
And by the border of Zebulon, from the east side to the west side: Gad, one tribe.
28 Daangaan Gaad kan karaa kibbaa sun Taamaarii jalqabee hamma bishaan Mariibaa Qaadeshiitti, ergasiis ededa Laga Gibxi irra hamma Galaana Guddichaatti gara Kaabaa deema.
And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, shall the border be from Tamar to the waters of strife in Kadesh, even to the river by the great sea.
29 “Kunis biyya isin dhaala gootanii ixaadhaan gosoota Israaʼeliif qoqqooduu qabdanii dha; isaan kunneenis qoodawwan isaanii taʼan” jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.
This is the land which ye shall divide by lot of the possession among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, saith the Lord Jehovah.
30 “Karrawwan magaalaa sana keessaa ittiin baʼan kanneenii dha: “Karaa kaabaatii jalqabee kan dhundhuma 4,500 dheeratu,
And these are the gates of the city. On the north side shall the measure be four thousand five hundred reeds.
31 karrawwan magaalaa sanaa maqaa gosoota Israaʼeliin moggaafamu. Karrawwan sadan karaa kaabaatiin jiran karra gosa Ruubeen, karra gosa Yihuudaa fi karra gosa Lewwii taʼu.
And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel; three gates northward, —one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
32 Karaa baʼaa karrawwan dhundhuma 4,500 dheeratan sadiitu jira; isaanis karra Yoosef, karra Beniyaamii fi karra Daan.
And on the east side shall be four thousand and five hundred [[reeds]]; and three gates, —one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.
33 Karaa kibbaa karrawwan dhundhuma 4,500 dheeratan sadiitu jira; isaanis karra Simiʼoon, karra Yisaakorii fi karra Zebuuloon.
And on the south side its measure shall be four thousand five hundred; and three gates, —one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulon.
34 Karaa dhiʼaa karrawwan dhundhuma 4,500 dheeratan sadiitu jira; isaanis karra Gaad, karra Aasheerii fi karra Niftaalem.
On the west side, four thousand and five hundred; and three gates, —one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.
35 “Naannoon magaalaa sanaa guutumaan guutuutti dhundhuma 18,000 taʼa. “Maqaan magaalaa sanaas yeroo sanaa jalqabee, ‘Waaqayyo achi jira taʼa.’”
Its measure round about was eighteen thousand reeds. And the name of the city from that day shall be Jehovah-is-there.
