Hisqiʼeel 47
1 Namichi sun deebisee gara balbala mana qulqullummaatti na fide; anis bishaan gulantaa mana qulqullummaa jalaa baʼee gara baʼa biiftuutti yaaʼu nan arge; manni qulqullummaa sun gara baʼa biiftuutti garagala tureetii. Bishaan sunis kibba mana qulqullummaa jalaa baʼee kibba iddoo aarsaatiin gad yaaʼa ture.
And he brought me back again unto the door of the house: and, behold, water was issuing out from under the threshold of the house eastward; for the front of the house stood toward the east; and the water came down from under [the threshold], from the right side of the house, to the south of the altar.
2 Ergasii karaa balbala kaabaatiin na baasee ala keessa na naannessee gara karra alaa kan gara baʼa biiftuutti garagalee jiruutti na fide; bishaan sunis karaa kibbaatiin yaaʼa ture.
Then did he bring me out by the way of the gate northwards and led me about the way without unto the outer gate by the way that looked eastward: and, behold, the water was running on the right side.
3 Namichi sunis funyoo ittiin safaru harkatti qabatee gara baʼa biiftuutti deemuudhaan dhundhuma kuma tokko safare; ergasiis bishaan koronyoo gaʼu keessa na deemsise.
When the man went forth eastward, having the measuring-line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he led me through the water, the water reaching to the ankles.
4 Ammas dhundhuma kuma tokko safaree bishaan jilba gaʼu keessa na deemsise; itti aansees dhundhuma kuma tokko safaree bishaan mudhii gaʼu keessa na deemsise.
Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through the water, the water reaching to the knees. Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through, the water reaching to the loins.
5 Ammas inni dhundhuma kuma tokko safare; sababii bishaan sun guutee tureef ani laga sana ceʼuu hin dandeenye; lagni sun daakuudhaaf akka malee gad fagoo waan taʼeef namni tokko iyyuu ceʼuu hin dandaʼu ture.
And he measured again a thousand [cubits], it being a stream that I could not wade through; for the water was increased, being water fit to swim in, a stream that could not be waded through.
6 Innis, “Yaa ilma namaa, waan kana argitaa?” naan jedhe. Ergasii inni deebisee gara afaan lagaatti na fide.
And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this: Then did he lead me, and caused me to return to the bank of the stream.
7 Anis yommuun achi gaʼetti bitaa fi mirga laga sanaatti mukkeen hedduu nan arge.
Now when I returned, behold, there were at the banks of the stream very many trees, on the one side and on the other.
8 Innis akkana naan jedhe; “Bishaan kun gara biyya baʼa biiftuutti yaaʼee gara Arabbaatti buʼee galaanatti makama. Yommuu galaanatti makamuttis bishaan sun ni qulqullaaʼa.
Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the eastern district, and go down into the plain, and fall into the sea, [the waters] being carried forth into the sea, so that the waters shall be healed.
9 Iddoo lagni sun itti yaaʼu hunda uumamawwan lubbuu qabeeyyiin ni jiraatu ture. Sababii bishaan kun achi yaaʼee bishaan qulqulleessuuf, qurxummiin baayʼinaan argama; kanaafuu lafa bishaan sun itti yaaʼu wanni hundi ni jiraata.
And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the double-stream shall come, shall live: and the fish shall be [therein] in great abundance; for when this water shall have come thither, [the waters of the sea] shall be healed, and every thing shall live whither the stream cometh.
10 Qurxummii qabdoonni qarqara bishaanii dhadhaabatu; lafti Een Gaadiidhaa hamma Een Eglayiimiitti jiru lafa itti kiyyoo diriirsan taʼa; qurxummiin isaas akkuma qurxummii Galaana Meeditiraaniyaan gosa adda addaa qabaata.
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand by it; from 'En-gedi even unto 'En-'eglayim, there shall be places for the spreading out of nets: after their various kinds shall the fish thereof be, like the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many.
11 Raaree fi caffaan garuu hin qulqullaaʼu; isaanis soogidda taʼanii hafu.
But its swamps and its lagoons shall not be healed, for [the production of] salt are they destined.
12 Mukkeen ija naqatan gosti hundinuu bitaa fi mirga qarqara laga sanaatti ni guddatu. Baalawwan isaanii hin gogan yookaan ija hin dhaban. Sababii bishaan iddoo qulqulluudhaa gara isaaniitti yaaʼuuf mukkeen sun jiʼa jiʼaan ija naqatu. Iji isaanii nyaataaf, baalli isaanii immoo nama fayyisuuf fayyada.”
And by the stream upon its banks, on this side and on that side, shall grow up all kinds of trees for food, the leaves of which shall not fade, and the fruit of which shall not come to an end, every month shall they bring forth new ripe fruit; because its water is that which issueth out of the sanctuary; and their fruit shall serve for food, and their leaves for remedies.
13 Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: “Daangaawwan kunneen daangaawwan isin ittiin biyyattii dhaala gootanii gosoota Israaʼel kudha lamaaniif qoqqoodanii dha; Yoosef qooda lama haa argatu.
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, This shall be the boundary, whereby ye shall divide out the land unto the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
14 Isin wal qixxeessitanii isaaniif qoqqooduu qabdu. Sababii ani abbootii keessanii kennuuf harka ol kaafameen kakadheef biyyattiin kun dhaala keessan ni taati.
And ye shall inherit it, every one like the other, [the land] concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for an inheritance.
15 “Daangaan biyyattii kanaa dha: “Karaa kaabaatiin Galaana Meeditiraaniyaanii kaasee daandii Hetilooniitiin karaa Haamaat darbee hamma Zedaadi gaʼutti,
And this shall be the boundary of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, the road to Chethlon, as far as to Zedad;
16 Beerootaanii fi Sibraayim isa daangaa Damaasqootii fi Hamaatii gidduutti argamu irraa hamma Hazeer Hatiikoon isa daangaa Hawiraanii irratti argamu sanaa gaʼa.
Chamath, Berothah, Sibrayim, which is between the boundary of Damascus and the boundary of Chamath; Chazar-hattichon, which is by the boundary of Chavran.
17 Daangaan kun galaana irraa kaʼee karaa kaabaatiin daangaa Damaasqoo qabatee, daangaa Hamaatis gara kaabaatti dhiisee hamma Hazar Eenooniitti deema. Kunis daangaa kaabaa taʼa.
And the boundary shall be from the sea to Chazar-'enon, the boundary of Damascus, and the northern part on the north, and the boundary of Chamath. And this is the north side.
18 Daangaan sun karaa baʼa biiftuutiin Hawiraanii fi Damaasqoo gidduu baʼee Yordaanosin qabatee Giliʼaadii fi biyya Israaʼel gidduudhaan karaa Galaana baʼa biiftuutiin hamma Taamaaritti deema. Kunis daangaa baʼa biiftuu ni taʼa.
And the east side shall ye measure between Chavran and Damascus [on the one side], and between Gil'ad and the land of Israel [on the other side] by the Jordan, from the [north] boundary unto the east sea. And this is the east side.
19 Innis karaa kibbaatiin Taamaarii kaʼee hamma bishaan Mariibaa Qaadeshiitti deema; ergasiis laga Gibxi qabatee hamma Galaana Guddichaatti deema. Kun daangaa kibbaa taʼa.
And the south side; on the south, from Thamar even to the waters of contention at Kadesh, toward the brook [flowing] into the Great Sea. And this is the south side on the south.
20 Karaa lixaatiin immoo hamma iddoo fuullee Hamaati jiru tokkootti Galaanni Meeditiraaniyaan daangaa isaa ni taʼa. Kunis daangaa lixaa ni taʼa.
And the west side shall be the great sea from the [southern] boundary, as far as straight up to Chamath. This is the west side.
21 “Isinis akkuma baayʼina gosoota Israaʼelitti biyya kana ni qoqqooddattu.
And ye shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.
22 Isin ofii keessanii fi alagoota isin gidduu jiraatan kanneen ijoollee qabaniif biyyattii dhaala godhaatii ixaadhaan qoqoodaa. Akka dhalattoota Israaʼelittis isaan ilaalaa; isaanis isin wajjin gosoota Israaʼel gidduutti ixaadhaan dhaala qooddachuu qabu.
And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among yourselves, and to the strangers that sojourn in the midst of you, who shall have begotten children in the midst of you; and they shall be unto you as the native born among the children of Israel: with you shall they obtain an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.
23 Isin alagaa gosa kam iyyuu keessa qubateef dhaala isaa kennuufii qabdu” jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.
And it shall come to pass that in whatever tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord Eternal.
