Hisqiʼeel 26
1 Waggaa kudha tokkoffaatti, jiʼa sana keessaa guyyaa jalqabaatti dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
So it was in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2 “Yaa ilma namaa, Xiiroos waaʼee Yerusaalem, ‘Baga! Karri sabootaa cabeera; balbalawwan ishees naaf banamaniiru; egaa amma waan isheen onteef ani nan sooroma’ jetteertii;
“Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha! The gates of the people are broken! She has turned to me; I will be filled up because she is ruined.'
3 kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Yaa Xiiroos, kunoo ani sitti kaʼeera; akkuma galaanni dambalii isaa kaasu sana anis saboota baayʼee sitti nan kaasa.
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Behold! I am against you, Tyre, and I will raise up many nations against you like the sea raises its waves.
4 Isaan dallaa Xiiroos ni diigu; gamoo ishees ni jigsu; ani biyyoo ishee irraa haxaaʼee kattaa qullaa hafe ishee nan godha.
They will destroy the walls of Tyre and tear down her towers. I will sweep her dust away and make her like a bare rock.
5 Isheen galaana keessatti iddoo itti kiyyoo qurxummii diriirsan ni taati; ani dubbadheeraatii, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan. Isheen sabootaaf boojuu taati;
She will become a place for nets to dry out in the midst of the sea, since I have declared it—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—and she will become plunder for the nations.
6 intallan ishee kanneen walakkaa biyyaa jiranis goraadeedhaan ajjeefamu. Ergasii isaan akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beeku.
Her daughters who are in the fields will be slaughtered by the swords, and they will know that I am Yahweh.'
7 “Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedhaatii: Ani karaa kaabaatii Nebukadnezar mooticha Baabilon, mootii moototaa sana fardeenii fi gaariiwwan wajjin, abbootii fardaatii fi raayyaa waraanaa guddaa isaa wajjin Xiiroositti nan fida.
For this is what Yahweh says: Behold, from the north I am bringing Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, against Tyre, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a great many people.
8 Innis intallan kee kanneen biyya walakkaa jiran goraadeedhaan fixa; dallaa ittiin si marsu ijaarrata; hamma dallaa keetiitti biyyoo ol tuula; gaachana isaas sitti ol kaafata.
He will kill your daughters in the field. He will set up a siege work and build a ramp against your walls and raise up shields against you.
9 Innis jirma ittiin waa diigan dallaa keetti garagalfata; gamoowwan kees miʼa lolaatiin diiga.
He will place his battering rams to hit against your walls, and his tools will tear down your towers.
10 Fardeen isaas hamma awwaaraan si haguuguu dandaʼanitti gar malee baayʼee taʼu. Yeroo inni akkuma namoota magaalaa dallaan ishee diigame seenaniitti karrawwan keetiin ol seenutti dallaan kee didichuu fardeen waraanaatiin, kan gaariiwwan waraanaatii fi kan gaariiwwan kaaniitiin ni raafama.
His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake with the sound of horsemen, wagons, and chariots. When he enters your gates, he will enter as men come into a city whose walls have been broken down.
11 Kotteewwan fardeen isaa daandiiwwan kee hunda ni dhidhiitu; innis namoota kee goraadeedhaan ajjeesa; utubaawwan kee jajjaboonis ni jigu.
The hooves of his horses will trample all of your streets. He will kill your people with the sword and your mighty stone pillars will fall to the ground.
12 Isaan qabeenya kee boojiʼu; miʼa kee kan daldalaa ni saamu; dallaa kee ni jigsu; manneen kee mimmiidhagoo ni diigu; dhagaa kee, jirmaa fi biyyoo kee galaanatti naqu.
They will plunder your riches and loot your merchandise. They will tear down your walls and destroy your luxurious homes. Your stones, your timber, and the rubble they will throw into the waters.
13 Ani sirba kee nan hambisa; sagaleen baganaa keetii siʼachi hin dhagaʼamu.
I will stop the noise of your songs. The sound of your harps will be heard no more.
14 Ani kattaa qullaa hafe si taasisa; atis iddoo itti kiyyoo qurxummii diriirsan taata. Ati gonkumaa deebifamtee hin ijaaramtu; ani Waaqayyo dubbadheeraatii, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.
I will make you a bare rock, you will become a place where nets are spread out to dry. You will never be built again, for I, Lord Yahweh have spoken—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.
15 “Waaqayyo Gooftaan Xiiroosiin akkana jedha: Yeroo warri madaaʼan aadanii fi yeroo namni si keessatti qalamutti biyyoonni qarqara galaanaa sagalee jiguu keetiitiin hin hollatanii?
The Lord Yahweh says this to Tyre, 'Will not the islands quake with the sound of your downfall, and with the groans of the wounded when the terrible slaughter is in your midst?
16 Ilmaan moototaa kanneen qarqara galaanaa jiraatan hundi teessoo isaanii irraa ni buʼu; uffata isaanii lafa kaaʼu; wayyaa isaanii kan faayeffames of irraa baasu. Isaan sodaadhaan guutamanii daaraa irra taaʼanii utuu addaan hin kutin waan sirra gaʼe sanaan naasuudhaan hollatu.
Then all the princes of the sea will step down from their thrones and remove their robes and cast off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling, they will sit on the ground and tremble every moment, and they will be appalled because of you.
17 Isaanis waaʼee keetiif akkana jedhanii faarsanii siif booʼu: “‘Yaa magaalaa beekamtuu, kan namoota galaanaatiin guutamte ati akkamitti barbadoofte! Ati lammiiwwan kee wajjin galaana irratti irree jabeettii turte; warra achi jiraatan hundas sodaa keetiin guutte.
They will lift up a lament for you and say to you, How you, who were inhabited by sailors, have been destroyed. The famous city that was so strong—it is now gone from the sea. The ones living in her once spread a terror about themselves upon everyone who lived near them.
18 Gaafa ati jigdutti, biyyoonni qarqara galaanaa ni hollatu; jigaatii keetiinis biyyoonni bishaan gidduu kanneen galaanaan marfaman akka malee sodaatan.’
Now the coasts tremble on the day of your downfall. The islands in the sea are terrified, because you are no longer in your place.'
19 “Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Yommuu ani akka magaalaawwan namni keessa hin jiraannee magaalaa onte si taasisutti, yommuu ani tujuba sirra garagalchee bishaan guddaadhaan si haguugutti,
For the Lord Yahweh says this: When I make you a desolate city, like the other cities that are not inhabited, when I raise up the deeps against you, and when the great waters cover you,
20 ani gara namoota duriitti, warra boolla buʼan wajjin boolla sin buusa. Ani akkuma diigama duriitti, warra boolla buʼan wajjin akka ati lafa jala jiraattu sin godha; atis lammata hin deebitu yookaan biyya warra lubbuun jiranii keessatti iddoo hin argattu.
then I will bring you down to the people of ancient times, like the others who have gone down into the pit; for I will make you live in the lowest realms of the earth as in ruins of ancient times. Because of this you will not come back and stand in the land of the living.
21 Anis dhuma kee suukaneessaa nan godha; atis siʼachi hin jiraattu. Ati ni barbaadamta; garuu siʼachi hin argamtu, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.”
I will place disaster on you, and you will be no more forever. Then you will be sought, but you will never be found ever again—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.”
