< Hisqiʼeel 10 >
1 Anis milʼadhee bantii samii gubbaatti mataa kiirubeeliitiin olitti fakkaattii teessoo sanpeer tokko nan arge.
I looked up and saw what looked like a throne made of lapis lazuli beyond the expanse, way above the heads of the cherubim.
2 Waaqayyos namicha wayyaa quncee talbaa irraa hojjetame uffate sanaan akkana jedhe; “Geengoowwan kiirubeelii jalaan jiran gidduu seeni. Barbadaa cilee bobaʼuu kan kiirubeelii gidduu jiru sana irraa harka kee guuttadhuutii magaalattii keessa faffacaasi.” Innis utuma ani ilaaluu ol seene.
Speaking from there the Lord told the man in linen, “Go in between the wheels underneath the cherubim. Collect as many burning coals as you can. Carry them from among the cherubim and scatter them all over the city.” I watched as he went in.
3 Yeroo namichi ol seenetti kiirubeeliin karaa kibba mana qulqullummaatiin dhaabatanii turan; duumessi oobdii gara keessaa guutee ture.
The cherubim were standing on the south side of the Temple when the man went in. A cloud filled the inner court.
4 Ulfinni Waaqayyoos kiirubeelii irraa kaʼee gara gulantaa mana qulqullummaatti qajeele. Duumessis mana qulqullummaa guute; waltajjichis ifa ulfina Waaqayyootiin guutame.
Then the Lord's glory rose up from above the cherubim and moved to the entrance of the Temple. The cloud filled the Temple, and the brightness of the Lord's glory filled the courtyard.
5 Sagaleen qoochoowwan kiirubeelii hamma oobdii gara alaatti akkuma sagalee yeroo Waaqni Waan Hunda Dandaʼu dubbatu dhagaʼamu sanaa fagootti dhagaʼama ture.
The noise made by the cherubim's wings could even be heard in the outer courtyard, and sounded like the voice of God Almighty.
6 Yeroo Waaqayyo namicha wayyaa quncee talbaa irraa hojjetame uffatu sanaan, “Geengoowwan gidduudhaa, kiirubeelii gidduudhaas ibidda fudhi” jedhee ajajetti namichi ol seenee geengoo bira dhaabate.
When the Lord ordered the man in linen, “Go and get some fire from in between the wheels, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside one of the wheels.
7 Ergasii kiirubeelii keessaa inni tokko harka isaa gara ibidda isaan gidduu jiruutti hiixate. Innis ibidda sana irraa xinnoo fuudhee harka namicha wayyaa quncee talbaa irraa hojjetame uffate sanaa keessa kaaʼe; namichis ibidda sana fudhatee baʼe.
Then one of the cherubim reached out and took some of the fire among them. He handed it to the man in linen, who took it and left.
8 Qoochoowwan kiirubeelii jalaanis wanni harka namaa fakkaatu tokko ni mulʼata ture.
(All the cherubim had what looked like human hands under their wings.)
9 Anis milʼadhee geengoowwan afur kiirubeelii biratti nan arge; geengoowwan sunis tokkoo tokkoo kiirubeelii bira turan; geengoowwan sunis akka biiralee calaqqisu turan.
I saw four wheels next to the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub. The wheels shone like topaz.
10 Bifti afranuu wal fakkaata ture; tokkoon tokkoon geengoo sanaa geengoo kaanitti waan dirame fakkaata ture.
All four wheels looked the same, and had a wheel within a wheel, set crossways.
11 Isaanis yommuu deemanitti utuu of irra hin milʼatin kallattii afran kiirubeeliin itti gara galan kamiin iyyuu deeman; geengoowwanis yeroo kiirubeeliin deemanitti asii fi achi hin sochoʼan ture. Kiirubeeliin qixa mataan isaanii itti gara gale kamiin iyyuu utuu of irra hin milʼatin deeman.
The cherubim could go in any direction they faced, moving without turning.
12 Dhagni isaanii guutuun, dugda isaanii, harka isaaniitii fi qoochoo isaanii dabalatee akkuma geengoowwan isaanii afran sanaatti akkuma jiraniin ijaan guutamanii turan.
The whole of their bodies, including their backs, hands, and wings, were covered in eyes, as were all four wheels.
13 Geengoowwan sunis utuma ani dhagaʼuu, “Geengoowwan konkolaatan” jedhamanii waamaman.
I heard the wheels being referred to as “the chariot wheels.”
14 Tokkoon tokkoon kiirubeelii fuula afur afur qabu ture: fuulli tokkoffaan fuula kiirubeelii, fuulli lammaffaan fuula namaa, fuulli sadaffaan fuula leencaa, fuulli afuraffaan immoo fuula risaa ture.
Each of them had four faces: the first face was a cherub's face, the second a man's face, the third a lion's face, and the fourth an eagle's face.
15 Ergasiis kiirubeeliin ol baʼan; isaan kunneen uumamawwan jiraatoo ani Laga Kebaar biratti argee ture sanaa dha.
Then the cherubim rose up in the air. They were the beings I'd seen beside the River Kebar.
16 Yeroo kiirubeeliin deemanitti geengoowwan isaan cina jiranis ni deeman; yeroo kiirubeeliin lafa irraa ol kaʼuuf qoochoowwan isaanii diriirfatanitti geengoowwanis isaan biraa hin hafan ture.
When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved alongside them. Even when they opened their wings to take off, the wheels stayed beside them.
17 Yeroo kiirubeeliin dhaabatanitti isaanis ni dhaabatu turan; yeroo kiirubeeliin ol kaʼanittis isaanuma wajjin ol kaʼu turan; hafuurri uumamawwan jiraatoo sanaa isaan keessa tureetii.
When the cherubim stopped, the wheels stopped too. When they took off, the wheels did too, because the spirit of the living creatures was in them.
18 Ergasiis ulfinni Waaqayyoo gulantaa mana qulqullummaa irraa kaʼee kiirubeelii gubbaadhaan dhaabate.
Then the glory of the Lord left the entrance to the Temple and stopped above the cherubim.
19 Kiirubeeliin utuma ani arguu qoochoowwan isaanii diriirffatanii lafaa ol kaʼan; yeroo isaan deemanittis geengoowwan isaan wajjin deeman. Isaan karra balbala mana Waaqayyoo kan karaa baʼaa irra dhaabatan; ulfinni Waaqa Israaʼelis isaan gubbaadhaan ture.
As I watched, the cherubim lifted their wings and took off, with the wheels alongside them. They stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the Lord's Temple, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
20 Isaan kunneen uumamawwan jiraatoo ani Laga Kebaar biratti Waaqa Israaʼel jalatti argee turee dha; anis akka isaan kiirubeelii taʼan nan hubadhe.
These were the beings I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the River Kebar. I knew that they were cherubim.
21 Tokkoon tokkoon isaanii fuula afur afurii fi qoochoowwan afur afur, qoochoowwan isaanii jalaan immoo waan harka namaa fakkaatu qabu ture.
Each had four faces and four wings and had what looked like human hands under their wings.
22 Bifti fuula isaaniis akkuma bifa uumamawwan jiraatoo ani Laga Kebaar biratti arge sanaa ture. Tokkoon tokkoon isaanii qajeelanii fuula duratti deeman.
Their faces looked like the faces I had seen by the River Kebar. Each of them moved directly ahead.
