1 “Akka isaan luboota taʼanii na tajaajilaniif wanni ati isaan qulqulleessuuf gootu kanaa dha; dibicha tokkoo fi korbeeyyii hoolaa kanneen mudaa hin qabne lama fuudhi.

“But you shall also do this, so that they may be consecrated to me in the priesthood: Take a calf from the herd, and two immaculate rams,

2 Daakuu qamadii filatamaa irraa Maxinoo, Maxinoo zayitiidhaan sukkuumamee fi bixxillee zayitiin irra dibame tolchi.

and unleavened bread, and a crust without leaven that has been sprinkled with oil, likewise, unleavened cakes smeared with oil. You shall make them all from the same wheat flour.

3 Isaan kanas gundoo keessa kaaʼiitii dibichaa fi korbeeyyii hoolaa wajjin dhiʼeessi.

And, having placed them in baskets, you shall offer them, along with the calf and the two rams.

4 Ergasii immoo Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa gara balbala dunkaana wal gaʼiitti fidiitii bishaaniin isaan dhiqi.

And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons, to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. And when you will have washed the father with his sons in water,

5 Uffatas fuudhiitii qomee, wandaboo dirataa, dirataa fi kiisii qomaa Aroonitti uffisi. Dirata sanas sabbata ogummaadhaan dhaʼameen hidhi.

you shall clothe Aaron in his vestments, that is, with the linen, and the tunic, and the ephod, and the breastplate, which you shall draw together with the wide belt.

6 Mataa isaatti marata mari; marata sanatti immoo gonfoo qulqulluu qabsiisi.

And you shall place the headdress on his head and the holy plate upon the headdress.

7 Zayitii ittiin dibdu fuudhiitii mataa isaa irratti dhangalaasuudhaan isa dibi.

And you shall pour the oil of unction over his head. And so, by this rite, he shall be consecrated.

8 Ilmaan isaa fidii qomee isaanitti uffisi;

Likewise, you shall bring forward his sons, and you shall clothe them in the linen tunics, and wrap them with the wide belt:

9 mataa isaaniitti marata mari. Ergasii immoo Aroonii fi ilmaan isaatti sabbata hidhi. Lubummaanis seera bara baraatiin kan isaanii ti. “Atis akkasiin Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa muudi.

Aaron, certainly, as well as his sons. And you shall impose headdresses upon them. And they shall be priests to me by a perpetual ordinance. After you have initiated their hands,

10 “Dibicha sana gara fuula dunkaana wal gaʼiitti fidi; Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa immoo harka isaanii mataa isaa irra haa kaaʼan.

you shall bring forward also the calf, in the presence of the tabernacle of the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon its head.

11 Atis fuula Waaqayyoo duratti, balbala dunkaana wal gaʼii irratti isa qali.

And you shall sacrifice it in the sight of the Lord, beside the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 Dhiiga dibicha sanaa irraa xinnoo fuudhiitii quba keetiin gaanfa iddoo aarsaa dibi; kan hafe immoo miilla iddoo aarsaa irratti dhangalaasi.

And taking some of the blood of the calf, you shall place it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, but the remainder of the blood you shall pour next to its base.

13 Moora miʼa garaatti haguugame hunda, haguuggii tiruutii fi moora kalee lamaanitti haguugame fuudhiitii iddoo aarsaa irratti gubi.

And you shall take all the fat which covers its intestines, and the mesh of the liver, as well as the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and you shall offer them as a burnt offering upon the altar.

14 Foon dibicha sanaa, gogaa isaatii fi cumaa isaa garuu qubata keessaa gad baasii gubi. Inni aarsaa cubbuu ti.

Yet truly, the flesh of the calf, and the hide and the dung, you shall burn outside, beyond the camp, because it is for sin.

15 “Korbeeyyii hoolaa sana keessaa tokko fidi; Aroonii fi ilmaan isaas harka isaanii mataa isaa irra haa kaaʼan.

Likewise, you shall take one ram, and upon its head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.

16 Korbeessa hoolaa sana qalii dhiiga isaa fuudhiitii gama hundaan iddoo aarsaatti facaasi.

And when you will have sacrificed it, you shall take from its blood and pour it around the altar.

17 Korbeessa hoolaa sana gargar kukkutii miʼa garaatii fi luka isaa miiciitii mataa fi kutaawwan kaan wajjin kaaʼi.

Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and, having washed its intestines and feet, you shall place these upon the cut-up flesh and upon its head.

18 Korbeessa hoolaa sana guutumaan guutuutti iddoo aarsaa irratti gubi. Kunis qalma Waaqayyoof gubamu, aarsaa urgaaʼaa ibiddaan Waaqayyoof dhiʼeeffamuu dha.

And you shall offer the entire ram as a burnt offering upon the altar. It is an oblation to the Lord, a most sweet odor of the victim of the Lord.

19 “Korbeessa hoolaa kaan illee fidi; Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa harka isaanii mataa isaa irra haa kaaʼan.

Likewise, you shall take the other ram, upon whose head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.

20 Korbeessa hoolaa sana qali; dhiiga isaa irraas fuudhiitii fiixee gurra Aroon mirgaatii fi fiixee gurra ilmaan isaa mirgaa dibi; quba abbuudduu harka mirgaa isaaniitii fi quba abbuudduu miilla mirgaa isaanii illee dibi. Dhiiga hafe immoo gama hundaan iddoo aarsaatti facaasi.

And when you will have immolated it, you shall take of its blood, and place it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs and big toes of their right hand and right foot, and you shall pour the blood upon the altar, all around.

21 Dhiiga iddoo aarsaa irra jiru irraa, zayitii ittiin diban irraas fuudhiitii Aroonii fi uffata isaatti, ilmaan isaatii fi uffata isaaniitti facaasi. Akkasiin innii fi ilmaan isaa, uffanni isaaniis ni qulqullaaʼu.

And when you have taken from the blood that is on the altar, and from the oil of unction, you shall sprinkle Aaron and his vestment, his sons and their vestments. And after they and their vestments have been consecrated,

22 “Korbeessa hoolaa kana irraas cooma, duboo, moora miʼa garaa haguugu, haguuggii tiruu, kalee lamaanii fi moora isaanitti jiru, akkasumas tafa mirgaa fuudhii. Korbeessi hoolaa kunis hoolaa ittiin lubummaa kennanii dha.

you shall take the fat of the ram, and the rump, and the lard that covers the internal organs, and the mesh of the liver, and the two kidneys along with the fat that is on them, and the right shoulder, because it is the ram of consecration,

23 Gundoo Maxinoo baatu kan fuula Waaqayyoo dura jiru sana irraa maxinoo tokko, maxinoo zayitiidhaan tolfame tokkoo fi bixxillee tokko fuudhi.

and one turn of bread, a crust sprinkled with oil, and a cake from the basket of unleavened bread, which was placed in the sight of the Lord.

24 Wantoota kanneen hunda harka Aroonii fi harka ilmaan isaa keessa kaaʼiitii aarsaa sochoofamu godhii fuula Waaqayyoo duratti sochoosi.

And you shall place all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord.

25 Ergasii immoo harka isaaniitii fuudhii akka urgaa Waaqayyotti tolu taʼuuf aarsaa gubamu wajjin iddoo aarsaa irratti gubi; kunis aarsaa ibiddaan Waaqayyoof dhiʼeeffamuu dha.

And you shall take all these things from their hands and burn them upon the altar as a holocaust, as a most sweet odor in the sight of the Lord, because it is his oblation.

26 Erga handaraafa hoolaa Aroon ittiin luba taʼe sana fuutee booddee aarsaa sochoofamu godhiitii fuula Waaqayyoo duratti sochoosi; kunis qooda kee ti.

Likewise, you shall take the chest of the ram, with which Aaron was initiated, and you shall sanctify it, lifting it up in the sight of the Lord, and it will fall to your share.

27 “Handaraafa aarsaa sochoofamuu, luka korbeessa hoolaa isa kan Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa isa yeroo isaan luba taʼan aarsaa taʼee dhiʼaate sana qulqulleessi.

And you shall sanctify both the consecrated chest and the shoulder that you separated from the ram,

28 Kunis qooda bara baraa kan sabni Israaʼel yeroo hunda Aroonii fi ilmaan isaatiif kennuu dha. Innis gumaacha sabni Israaʼel aarsaa nagaa irraa Waaqayyoof kennuu dha.

with which Aaron was initiated with his sons, and these will fall to the share of Aaron and his sons, as a perpetual oath by the sons of Israel. For these are the greatest and the first of their victims of peace, which they offer to the Lord.

29 “Akka isaan ittiin dibamanii luba taʼaniif uffanni Aroon qulqulluun kan ilmaan isaa haa taʼu.

But the holy vestment, which Aaron shall use, his sons shall possess after him, so that they may be anointed in it and their hands may be consecrated.

30 Ilmi iddoo isaa buʼee luba taʼuudhaan Iddoo Qulqulluu keessa tajaajiluuf gara dunkaana wal gaʼii dhufu bultii torba uffata kana haa uffatu.

For seven days, he who is high priest in his place and who enters the tabernacle of the testimony to minister in the Sanctuary shall use it.

31 “Korbeessa hoolaa isa ittiin luba taʼan sana fuudhiitii foon isaa Iddoo Qulqulluutti affeeli.

But you shall take the ram of consecration and cook its flesh in the holy place.

32 Aroonii fi ilmaan isaa foon hoolaa sanaatii fi buddeena gundoo irraa sana balbala dunkaana wal gaʼii duratti haa nyaatan.

And Aaron and his sons shall feed on it. Likewise, the loaves which are in the basket, they shall consume in the vestibule of the tabernacle of the testimony,

33 Isaanis aarsaa isaan ittiin luba taʼanii fi qulqulleeffamuu isaaniitiif ittiin araarri buʼe haa nyaatan. Sababii aarsaan sun qulqulluu taʼeef garuu namni kaan hin nyaatin.

so that it may be an appeasing sacrifice, and so that the hands of those who offer may be sanctified. A stranger shall not eat from these, for they are holy.

34 Yoo foon korbeessa hoolaa ittiin luba taʼan kam iyyuu yookaan buddeenni kam iyyuu hafee bule ibiddaan gubi; sababii qulqulluu taʼeef nyaatamuu hin qabu.

And what may remain until morning, of the consecrated flesh or of the bread, you shall burn these remnants with fire. These shall not be eaten, because they have been sanctified.

35 “Waan ani si ajaje hunda Aroonii fi ilmaan isaatiif godhi. Bultii torba guutuu seera lubummaa isaaniif raawwadhu.

All that I have instructed you concerning Aaron and his sons, you shall do. For seven days shall you consecrate their hands,

36 Akka araarri buʼuufis guyyuma guyyaan dibicha qalii aarsaa cubbuu dhiʼeessi. Iddoo aarsaa sanaaf aarsaa araaraa dhiʼeessuudhaan qulqulleessi; addaan baasuudhaafis isa dibi.

and you shall offer a calf for sin on each day, as an atonement. And you shall cleanse the altar when you will have immolated the victim of expiation, and you shall anoint it for sanctification.

37 Iddoo aarsaa sanaafis bultii torba araara buusiitii isa qulqulleessi. Yoos iddoon aarsaa sun waan hunda caalaa qulqulluu taʼa; wanni isa tuqu hundinuus ni qulqulleeffama.

For seven days, you shall expiate and sanctify the altar, and it shall be the Holy of holies. All those who will touch it must be sanctified.

38 “Wanni ati yeroo hunda iddoo aarsaa irratti guyyaa guyyaan dhiʼeessitu kanaa dha: Xobbaallaawwan kanneen umuriin isaanii waggaa tokko tokko taʼe lama;

This is what you shall acquire for the altar: Two one-year-old lambs, each day continually,

39 tokko ganama, kaan immoo galgala dhiʼeessi.

one lamb in the morning, and the other in the evening;

40 Xobbaallaa jalqabaa sana wajjinis daakuu baʼeessa isaa iifii tokko irraa harka kudhan keessaa harki tokko zayitii ejersaa kan cuunfamee iinii tokko harka afur keessaa harka tokkoon sukkuumame dhiʼeessi; akkasumas daadhii wayinii iinii harka afur keessaa harka tokko dhibaayyuu godhii dhiʼeessi.

for the one lamb, a tenth part of fine flour sprinkled with crushed oil, which shall have the measure of the fourth part of a hin, and wine for a libation, of the same measure;

41 Xobbaallaa hoolaa kaan immoo kennaa midhaaniitii fi kan dhibaayyuu wajjin akkuma isa ganamaa sanaatti galgala dhiʼeessi; kunis aarsaa urgaaʼaa ibiddaan Waaqayyoof dhiʼeeffamuu dha.

truly, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, according to the ritual of the morning oblation, and according to what we have said, as an odor of sweetness.

42 “Qalmi gubamu kun dhaloota dhufu keessattis yeroo hunda balbala dunkaana wal gaʼii irratti fuula Waaqayyoo duratti haa dhiʼeeffamu. Anis gara keessan dhufee achitti isinitti nan dubbadha;

It is a sacrifice to the Lord, by a perpetual oblation among your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord, where I resolve to speak to you.

43 saba Israaʼel wajjinis achumatti wal argina; iddoon sunis ulfina kootiin ni qulqulleeffama.

And there I will instruct the sons of Israel, and the altar shall be sanctified by my glory.

44 “Ani dunkaana wal gaʼii fi iddoo aarsaa sana nan qulqulleessa; Aroonii fi ilmaan isaas akka isaan luboota taʼanii na tajaajilaniif nan qulqulleessa.

I will also sanctify the tabernacle of the testimony with the altar, and Aaron with his sons, to exercise the priesthood for me.

45 Anis saba Israaʼel keessa nan jiraadha; Waaqa isaaniis nan taʼa.

And I will live in the midst of the sons of Israel, and I will be their God.

46 Isaanis akka ani Waaqayyo Waaqa isaanii kan gidduu isaanii jiraachuuf jedhee biyya Gibxiitii keessaa isaan baase taʼe ni beeku; ani Waaqayyo Waaqa isaanii ti.

And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who led them away from the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.”
