Efesoon 6
1 Yaa ijoolle, Gooftaaf jedhaatii abbootii fi haadhota keessaniif ajajamaa; kun qajeelaadhaatii.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Ajajni jalqabaa kan waadaa qabu, “Abbaa keetii fi haadha keetiif ulfina kenni” jedha;
“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:
3 kunis, “Akka sitti toluu fi akka lafa irra bara dheeraa jiraattuuf.”
“that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
4 Yaa abbootii, isinis ijoollee keessan barsiisaa fi gorsa Gooftaatiin guddisaa malee hin aarsinaa.
You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
5 Yaa garboota, akkuma Kiristoosiif ajajamtanitti kabajaa fi sodaadhaan, garaa qulqulluunis gooftota keessan warra addunyaa kanaatiif ajajamaa.
Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,
6 Yeroo iji isaanii isin argutti isaan biratti fudhatama argachuu qofaaf utuu hin taʼin garaa guutuun fedhii Waaqaa raawwachaa akka garboota Kiristoositti isaaniif ajajamaa.
not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
7 Akka waan nama tajaajiltaniitti utuu hin taʼin akka waan Gooftaa tajaajiltaniitti garaa guutuun hojjedhaa;
with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,
8 sababiin isaas isin akka Gooftaan tokkoo tokkoo namaatiif garbas taʼu yookaan birmaduu, waan gaarii inni hojjetu kamiif iyyuu gatii kennu ni beektu.
knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
9 Yaa gooftota, isinis garboota keessaniif akkasuma godhaa. Isin akka inni isaanii fi isiniif Gooftaa taʼe sun samii irra jiruu fi akka nama wal caalchisuunis isa bira hin jirre waan beektaniif isaan hin doorsisinaa.
You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
10 Kanaa achi Gooftaa fi humna isaa jabaa sanaan cimaa.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
11 Haxxummaa diiyaabiloosiin akka mormuu dandeessaniif miʼa lolaa kan Waaqaa guutuu hidhadhaa.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 Walʼaansoon keenya bulchitoota wajjin, abbootii taayitaa wajjin, humnoota addunyaa dukkanaa kanaa fi humnoota hafuura hamaa iddoo samii keessa jiruu wajjin malee foonii fi dhiiga wajjin mitii. (aiōn g165)
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
13 Kanaafuu akka yommuu guyyaan hamaan sun dhufutti obsaan dhaabachuu dandeessaniif, waan kana hunda gochuunis akka jabaattanii dhaabattaniif miʼa lolaa kan Waaqaa guutuu hidhadhaa.
Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Egaa mudhii keessan dhugaan hidhadhaatii, qomee sibiilaa kan qajeelummaas uffadhaatii jabaadhaa dhaabadhaa;
Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 qophaaʼummaa wangeela nagaa akka kopheetti miilla keessanitti kaaʼadhaa dhaabadhaa.
and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,
16 Kana hundumaa irrattis gaachana amantii kan xiyya bobaʼaa hamaa sanaa hunda ittiin dhaamsuu dandeessan qabadhaa.
above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17 Qoobii sibiilaa kan fayyinaa kaaʼadhaa; goraadee Hafuuraas qabadhaa; innis dubbii Waaqaa ti.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 Kadhannaa fi waammata gosa hundaa keessatti yeroo hunda Hafuuraan kadhadhaa. Kanas yaadatti qabachaa yeroo hunda dammaqaatii qulqulloota hundaaf jabaadhaa kadhadhaa.
with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
19 Yommuun afaan saaqqadhu hunda ija jabinaan icciitii wangeelaa akkan beeksisuuf dubbiin akka naa kennamu anaafis kadhadhaa;
Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
20 wangeelli kunis isuma ani isaaf jedhee ergamaa taʼee foncaan hidhamee dha. Isinis akka ani akkuma narraa eegamutti sodaa malee isa lallabuu dandaʼuuf naa kadhadhaa.
for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21 Xikiqoos obboleessi jaallatamaan, Gooftaattis tajaajilaan amanamaan haala ani keessa jiruu fi maal akka ani hojjechaa jiru akka beektaniif waan hundumaa isinitti hima.
But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things.
22 Anis akka isin haala nu keessa jirru beektanii fi akka inni isin jajjabeessuuf, waanuma kanaaf jedhee ani gara keessanitti isa ergeera.
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state and that he may comfort your hearts.
23 Waaqa Abbaa fi Yesuus Kiristoos Gooftaa irraa nagaan, jaalallis amantii wajjin obboloota hundaaf haa taʼu.
Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Warra jaalala hin badneen Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoosin jaallatan hundaaf ayyaanni haa taʼu.
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
