Keessa Deebii 14
1 Isin ijoollee Waaqayyo Waaqa keessanii ti. Nama duʼeef jettanii of hin murmurinaa yookaan rifeensa adda keessaniin oli jiru hin haaddatinaa;
Ye are the children of YHWH your Elohim: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 ati Waaqayyo Waaqa keetiif saba qulqulluudhaatii. Waaqayyo akka ati qabeenya isaa jaallatamaa taatuuf jedhee saboota lafa irra jiraatan hunda keessaa si filateera.
For thou art an holy people unto YHWH thy Elohim, and YHWH hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
3 Ati waan jibbisiisaa tokko illee hin nyaatin.
Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4 Horiin isin nyaachuu dandeessan kanneenii dha; sangaa, hoolaa, reʼee,
These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5 gadamsa, kuruphee, borofa, reʼee diidaa, waaliyaa, saalaa fi hoolaa tulluu.
The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6 Horii kotteen isaa baqaqee iddoo lamatti gargar qoodame kan halala guuru nyaachuu ni dandeessu.
And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7 Garuu warra halala guuran yookaan warra kottee baqaqaa qaban keessaa gaala, illeettii, yookaan osolee hin nyaatinaa; isaan kunneen halala guuran iyyuu waan kotteen isaanii duudaa taʼeef isaan akka seeraatti isiniif qulqulluu miti.
Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8 Booyyeenis qulqulluu miti; kotteen isaa baqaqaa taʼus booyyeen halala hin guuru. Isin foon isaanii hin nyaatinaa yookaan raqa isaanii hin tuqinaa.
And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9 Uumamawwan bishaan keessa jiraatan hunda keessaa warra qoochoo fi qola qaban kam iyyuu nyaachuu dandeessu.
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 Garuu warra qoochoo fi qola hin qabne kam iyyuu hin nyaatinaa; isaan isiniif qulqulluu miti.
And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
11 Isin simbira qulqulluu kam iyyuu nyaachuu dandeessu.
Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12 Isaan kanneen garuu hin nyaatinaa; isaanis risaa, rumicha, rumicha gurraacha,
But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13 culullee, culullee gurraacha, culullee gosa garaa garaa,
And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14 arraagessa gosa garaa garaa,
And every raven after his kind.
15 guchii, urunguu, allaattii bishaanii, coroffee gosa garaa garaa,
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16 urunguu xinnaa, urunguu guddaa, urunguu adii,
The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17 urunguu gammoojjii, abbaa koddaa, urunguu guddaa,
And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18 huummoo, allaattii gosa kamii iyyuu, haadha gaayyeetii fi simbira halkanii ti.
And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19 Ilbiisonni barrisan hundinuu isiniif qulqulluu miti; isaan hin nyaatinaa.
And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20 Uumamawwan qoochoo qaban kanneen qulqulluu taʼan kam iyyuu garuu nyaachuu dandeessu.
But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21 Waan ofii isaatiin duʼe tokko illee hin nyaatin. Akka inni nyaatuuf alagaa magaalaa kee keessa jiraatuuf kenni yookaan nama ormaa tokkotti gurguradhu. Ati garuu saba Waaqayyo Waaqa keetiif qulqulleeffamtee dha. Ilmoo reʼee tokko aannan haadhaa isheetiin hin affeelin.
Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto YHWH thy Elohim. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
22 Waan lafti qotiisaa kee waggaatti kennu hunda keessaa kudhan keessaa tokko kophaatti baasii kaaʼi.
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 Akka Waaqayyo Waaqa kee sodaachuu barattuuf iddoo inni akka Maqaan isaa achi jiraatuuf filatutti midhaan kee, wayinii kee haaraa fi zayitii kee akkasumas hangafa loonii fi bushaayee kee fuula Waaqayyo Waaqa keetii duratti nyaadhu.
And thou shalt eat before YHWH thy Elohim, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear YHWH thy Elohim always.
24 Garuu yoo iddoon sun akka malee fagaatee, atis Waaqayyo Waaqa keetiin eebbifamtee sababii iddoon Waaqayyo akka Maqaan isaa achi jiraatuuf filatu sun fagoo taʼeef kennaa kee kudhan keessaa tokko baachuu dadhabde,
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which YHWH thy Elohim shall choose to set his name there, when YHWH thy Elohim hath blessed thee:
25 kennaa kee kan kudhan keessaa tokko sana meetiitti geeddariitii, meetii sana qabadhuutii iddoo Waaqayyo Waaqni kee filatu dhaqi.
Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which YHWH thy Elohim shall choose:
26 Meetii sanaanis waanuma feete jechuunis, loon, hoolota, daadhii wayinii yookaan dhugaatii jabaa, yookaan waan barbaadde kam iyyuu biti. Ergasii atii fi warri mana keetii fuula Waaqayyo Waaqa keetii duratti nyaadhaa gammadaa.
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before YHWH thy Elohim, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 Lewwonni magaalaa kee keessa jiraatan qooda yookaan dhaala ofii isaanii waan hin qabneef ati isaan hin dagatin.
And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 Yeroo hunda dhuma waggaa sadaffaatti waan waggaa sana keessa galfatte kudhan keessaa tokko fuudhiitii magaalaawwan keessatti kuusi.
At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 Kunis akka Lewwonni qooda yookaan dhaala ofii isaanii hin qabne, alagoonni, ijoolleen abbaa hin qabnee fi niitonni dhirsoonni isaanii irraa duʼan warri magaalaawwan keessa jiraatan nyaatanii quufanii fi akka Waaqayyo Waaqni kee hojii harka keetii hundaan si eebbisuuf.
And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee, ) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that YHWH thy Elohim may bless thee in all the work of thine hands which thou doest.
