1 Yaa gooftota, isinis akka samii irraa Gooftaa qabdan waan beektaniif, garboota keessan qajeelummaa fi wal qixxummaadhaan bulchaa.
Masters, treat your slaves with justice and equity, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
2 Warra dammaqanii galateeffatan taʼuudhaan kadhannaatti jabaadhaa.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
3 Nu icciitii Kiristoos kan ani isaaf jedhee hidhamee jiru sana akka lallabnuuf Waaqni balbala dubbichaa akka nuu banu nuufis kadhadhaa.
At the same time pray for us as well, that God may open a door to us for the word so that we may speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
4 Anis akka narraa eegamutti ibsee akkan lallabuuf naa kadhadhaa.
Pray that I may make it known in the way that I ought to speak.
5 Baricha furuudhaan warra alaa wajjin hubannaadhaan jiraadhaa.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.
6 Tokkoo tokkoo namaatiif akkamitti akka deebii kennitan akka beektaniif dubbiin keessan yeroo hunda ayyaanaan kan guutame, soogiddaanis kan miʼeeffame haa taʼu.
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer each person.
7 Xikiqoos oduu waaʼee kootii hunda isinitti ni hima. Inni obboleessa jaallatamaa, tajaajilaa amanamaa fi Gooftaatti garbicha hidhata koo taʼee dha.
Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is our beloved brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.
8 Anis akka isin haala nu keessa jirru beektanii fi akka inni garaa keessan jajjabeessuuf gara keessanitti isa ergeera.
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that he may know how you are doing and encourage your hearts.
9 Innis obboleessa keenya amanamaa fi jaallatamaa isa garee keessan keessaa tokko taʼe Oneesimoos wajjin dhufa. Isaanis waan asitti taʼaa jiru hundumaa isinitti himu.
With him I have sent Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here.
10 Arisxirokoos inni na wajjin hidhamee jiru nagaa isinii dhaama; Maarqos durbiin Barnaabaasis akkanuma nagaa isinii dhaama. Waaʼee isaas ajajni, “Yoo inni gara keessan dhufe isa simadhaa” jedhu isin gaʼeera.
Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, and so does Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you have received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him).
11 Yesuus inni Yoosxoos jedhamus akkasuma nagaa isinii dhaama. Warra dhagna qabatan keessaas kanneen na wajjin mootummaa Waaqaatiif hojjetan isaanuma qofa; isaanis jajjabina guddaa naa taʼaniiru.
Jesus who is called Justus also greets you. These men are my only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision, and they have been a comfort to me.
12 Ephaafiraan inni isin keessaa tokko taʼee fi tajaajilaan Kiristoos Yesuus nagaa isinii dhaama. Innis akka isin fedhii Waaqaa hundaan bilchaatoo fi guutuu taatanii jabaattanii dhaabattaniif yeroo hunda kadhannaadhaan isinii dadhabaa jira.
Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ, greets you, always striving for you in his prayers, so that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.
13 Ani akka inni isiniif, warra Lodooqiyaa fi magaalaa Heraapoolis jiraniifis hinaaffaa gaarii qabu dhugaa nan baʼaaf.
For I testify about him that he has much zeal for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
14 Luqaas ogeessi fayyaa michuun keenya jaallatamaanii fi Deemaas nagaa isinii dhaamu.
Luke, the beloved physician, greets you, and so does Demas.
15 Obboloota Lodooqiyaa jiranitti, akkasumas Niimfaa fi waldaa kiristaanaa kan mana ishee jirtutti nagaa naa himaa.
Give my greetings to the brothers in Laodicea, and to Nymphas and the church that meets in his house.
16 Erga xalayaan kun isinii dubbifamee booddee waldaa Kiristaanaa Lodooqiyaatti akka dubbifamu godhaa; isinis xalayaa Lodooqiyaadhaa dhufu dubbifadhaa.
After this letter has been read among you, have it read in the church of the Laodiceans as well, and make sure you also read the letter from Laodicea.
17 Arkiphaadhaanis, “Hojii Gooftaadhaan sitti kenname sana akka xumurtu mirkaneeffadhu” jedhaa.
Tell Archippus, “Be sure to complete the ministry yoʋ have received in the Lord.”
18 Ani Phaawulos, xalayaa nagaa kana harkuma kootiin barreessa. Hidhamuu koo yaadadhaa. Ayyaanni isin wajjin haa taʼu.
