1 Phaawulos erga gooliin qabbanaaʼee booddee barattoota waamsisee isaan jajjabeesse; “Nagaatti” isaaniin jedhees Maqedooniyaa dhaquuf kaʼe.
And after the uproar had ceased, Paul called to [him] the disciples, and embraced [them], and departed to go into Macedonia.
2 Innis dubbii nama jajjabeessu baayʼee uummatatti dubbachaa naannoo sana keessa darbee dhuma irratti Giriik gaʼe;
And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,
3 achis jiʼa sadii ture. Akkuma inni dooniin Sooriyaa dhaquuf kaʼeenis sababii Yihuudoonni isatti malataniif karaa Maqedooniyaatiin deebiʼuuf kutate.
And [there] abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
4 Beeriyaadhaa Soophaaxroos ilma Phiiyiroos, Tasaloniiqeedhaa Arisxirokoosii fi Sekunduus, Darbeenii immoo Gaayoos isa wajjin deeman; akkasumas Xiimotewos, biyya Asiyaatii immoo Xikiqoosii fi Xiroofiimoos isa wajjin deeman.
And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and of Asia, Tychicus, and Trophimus.
5 Namoonni kunneen nu dura darbanii Xirooʼaasitti nu eegan.
These going before, tarried for us at Troas.
6 Ayyaana Maxinoo booddee garuu Fiiliphisiyuusii dooniin kaanee bultii shan booddee warra kaan wajjin Xirooʼaasitti wal arganne; achis guyyaa torba turre.
And we sailed away from Philippi, after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
7 Nus guyyaa jalqaba torban sanaatti buddeena caccabsuuf jennee walitti qabamne; Phaawulos namootatti haasaʼe. Innis waan guyyaa itti aanutti deemuu barbaadeef hamma halkan walakkaatti haasaa dheeresse.
And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them (ready to depart on the morrow) and continued his speech until midnight.
8 Gulantaa darbii iddoo nu itti walitti qabamne keessa ibsaa baayʼeetu ture.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were assembled.
9 Dargaggeessi Awuxekiis jedhamu tokkos foddaa irra taaʼaa ture; yommuu Phaawulos haasaa dheeressettis hirribni cimaan isa fudhate; utuu hirribaan of wallaalee jiruus darbii sadaffaa irraa kufe; isaanis reeffa isaa lafaa fuudhan.
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, having fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
10 Phaawulosis gad buʼee dargaggeessa sana irratti gombifamee isa hammachuudhaan, “Lubbuun keessa jirtiitii hin rifatinaa!” jedhe.
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing [him], said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
11 Innis darbii sanatti ol deebiʼee buddeena caccabsee nyaate; hamma lafti bariituttis yeroo dheeraa isaan wajjin haasaʼe achii deeme.
When he had come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and discoursed a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
12 Namoonnis dargaggeessa sana jiraataa taʼee manatti geessan; baayʼees ni jajjabaatan.
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
13 Nus Phaawulosin achii fuudhuuf jennee duraan dursinee gara doonii dhaqnee dooniidhaan Asoositti qajeelle; Phaawulos miillaan deemuuf jedhee ofuma isaatii waan kana karoorfatee tureetii.
And we went before to a ship, and sailed to Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so he had appointed, intending himself to go on foot.
14 Asoosittis isaan wal arginee dooniidhaan Miixiiliinitti dabarre.
And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
15 Guyyaa itti aanuttis dooniin achii kaanee fuullee Kiiyos geenye; guyyaa tokko booddees Saamoositti baane; guyyaa itti aanu immoo Miilexoos geenye.
And we sailed thence, and came the next [day] over against Chios; and the next [day] we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next [day] we came to Miletus.
16 Phaawulosis yoo dandaʼameef waan guyyaa Pheenxeqoosxeetiin Yerusaalem gaʼuuf ariifateef akka biyya Asiyaa keessatti yeroon isa duraa hin dhumneef jedhee dooniidhaan Efesoon bira darbee deemuu murteeffatee ture.
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
17 Innis Miilexoosii Efesoonitti nama ergee jaarsolii waldaa kiristaanaa ofitti waamsise.
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
18 Isaan gara isaa dhufnaan akkana jedheen; “Ani gaafan biyya Asiyaa dhufe kan duraatii jalqabee yeroon isin wajjin jiraachaa ture sana hunda haala akkam keessa akka ani jiraachaa ture isin mataan keessan iyyuu beektu.
And when they had come to him, he said to them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
19 Ani yoon mala Yihuudootaatiin akka malee qorame illee gad of qabiisa guddaa fi imimmaaniin Gooftaa tajaajileera.
Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
20 Utuu waan faayidaa isinii qabu tokko illee lallabuu irraa of hin qusatin akka ani mana tokkoo gara mana kaanii deemee ifatti baasee isin barsiise isinuu beektu.
[And] how I kept back nothing that was profitable [to you], but have shown you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,
21 Ani akka Yihuudoonnii fi Giriikonni qalbii jijjiirrachuudhaan gara Waaqaatti deebiʼanii fi akka isaan Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoositti amanan isaanitti himeera.
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance towards God, and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 “Ammas ani utuu waan achitti narra gaʼuuf jiru hin beekin Hafuuraan dirqamee Yerusaalem dhaquuttin jira.
And now behold, I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23 Hafuurri Qulqulluun immoo akka hidhamuu fi rakkachuun na eeggatu magaalaa hunda keessatti dhugaa naa baʼa.
Save that the Holy Spirit testifieth in every city, saying, that bonds and afflictions abide me.
24 Taʼus ani fiigicha sana xumuruu fi hojii Gooftaa Yesuus natti kenne sana hobbaafachuuf jedhee jireenya koo akka waan faayidaa hin qabneetti nan lakkaaʼa; hojiin kunis wangeela ayyaana Waaqaatiif dhugaa baʼuu dha.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
25 “Ani akka isin warra ani keessa nanaannaʼee mootummaa Waaqaa lallabe kanneen keessaa namni tokko iyyuu lammata na hin argine nan beeka.
And now behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.
26 Kanaafuu ani dhiiga nama hundaa irraa qulqulluu taʼuu koo harʼa isinitti nan hima.
Wherefore I call you to witness this day, that I [am] pure from the blood of all [men].
27 Ani fedhii Waaqaa hunda isinitti himuu irraa of hin qusanneetii.
For I have not shunned to declare to you all the counsel of God.
28 Isin of eegaa; karra hoolota Hafuurri Qulqulluun irratti Phaaphaasota isin godhe sanaa hundas eegaa. Waldaa Kiristaanaa Waaqaa kan inni dhiiga ofii isaatiin bitate sanaafis tiksoota taʼaa.
Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29 Erga ani deemee booddee akka yeeyyiiwwan hamoon dhufanii gidduu keessan seenan, akka isaan karra hoolotaa sana keessaa tokko illee hin hambifnes ani beeka.
For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Isinuma keessaa iyyuu namoonni barattoota of faana fudhachuuf jedhanii dubbii micciiramaa dubbatan ni kaʼu.
Also from your own selves will men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Kanaafuu isin of eeggadhaa! Akka ani waggaa sadii halkanii guyyaa utuu gargar hin kutin imimmaaniin tokkoo tokkoo keessan gorsaa ture yaadadhaa.
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
32 “Ani amma Waaqatti, akkasumas dubbii ayyaana isaa kan isin ijaaruu dandaʼuu fi kan warra qulqullaaʼan hunda keessatti dhaala isinii kennuu dandaʼu sanatti isinin kennadha.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them who are sanctified.
33 Ani meetii yookaan warqee yookaan uffata nama tokkoo iyyuu hin kajeelle.
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Akka ani harkuma koo kanaan hojjedhee waan naa fi warra na wajjin jiraniif barbaachisu argamsiise isin mataan keessan iyyuu ni beektu.
And ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered to my necessities, and to them that were with me.
35 Ani waan hojjedhe hunda keessatti nu dubbii Gooftaa Yesuus mataan isaa, ‘Fudhachuu irra kennuutu eebba qaba’ jedhee dubbate sana yaadachaa hojii jabaa akkanaatiin akka warra dadhabaa gargaaruu qabnu isin argisiiseera.”
I have shown you all things, that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
36 Innis waan kana dubbatee isaan hunda wajjin jilbeenfatee Waaqa kadhate.
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
37 Hundi isaaniis akka malee booʼaa morma Phaawulositti marmanii isa dhungatan.
And they all wept bitterly, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
38 Wanni akka malee isaan gaddisiise akka isaan yeroo sanaa jalqabanii lammata isa hin argine dubbachuu isaa ti. Ergasii isaan hamma dooniitti isa geggeessan.
Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
