1 Garuu guyyoota dhumaa keessa yeroon rakkinaa akka dhufu hubadhu.
But, of this, be taking note—that, in last days, there will set in perilous seasons;
2 Namoonni of jaallattoota, jaallattoota maallaqaa, of jajjoota, of tuultota, warra Waaqa arrabsan, warra abbaa fi haadha isaaniitiif hin ajajamne, warra hin galateeffanne, warra qulqullummaa hin qabne,
For men will be—fond of themselves, fond of money, ostentatious, arrogant, defamers, to parents, unyielding, unthankful, unkind,
3 warra jaalala hin qabne, warra dhiifama hin goone, warra maqaa nama balleessan, warra of hin qabne, gara jabeeyyii, warra waan gaarii hin jaallanne,
without natural affection, accepting no truce, given to intrigue, without self-control, uncivilized, unfriendly to good men,
4 gantoota, warra akka malee jarjaran, warra of bokoksan, warra Waaqa jaallachuu irra waan isaan gammachiisu jaallatan ni taʼu;
traitors, reckless, beclouded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
5 warra Waaqaaf bulan ni fakkaatu; garuu humna isaa ni ganu. Ati warra akkasii irraa fagaadhu.
having a form of godliness, but, the power thereof, denying! and, from these, turn away;
6 Isaan warra manneen seenuudhaan dubartoota dadhaboo warra cubbuun isaan irra tuulamee fi warra hawwii gosa hundaatiin asii fi achi raafaman boojiʼanii dha;
For, of these, are they who enter into the houses, and captivate silly women, [women] laden with sins, led on by manifold covetings,
7 dubartoonni kunneen yeroo hunda ni baratu; garuu gonkumaa dhugaa beekuutti dhufuu hin dandaʼan.
Ever learning and never, unto a personal knowledge of truth, able to come;
8 Akkuma Yaaneesii fi Yaambirees Museen morman sana namoonni qalbiin isaanii badee waaʼee amantiitti fudhatama dhaban kunneenis dhugaadhaan ni mormu.
Moreover, like as, Jannes and Jambres, withstood Moses, so, these men also, withstand the truth, —men utterly corrupted in their mind, disapproved concerning their faith;
9 Taʼus gowwummaan isaanii waan akkuma namoota sanaa nama hunda biratti ifatti baʼuuf isaan fagoo hin deeman.
But they shall not force their way further, for, their folly, shall be, fully evident, unto all, —as also, that of those men, became.
10 Ati garuu barsiisa ko, haala jireenya koo, kaayyoo koo, amantii koo, obsa koo, jaalala koo, jabaadhee dhaabachuu koo hundumaa duukaa buuteerta;
But, thou, hast closely studied—my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance,
11 ariʼatamuu koo, rakkina kootii fi waan Anxookiiyaatti, Iqooniyoonii fi Lisxiraanitti narra gaʼe, ariʼatama garaa garaa kan ani obsaan keessa darbes duukaa buuteerta. Gooftaan garuu waan kana hunda jalaa na baase.
persecutions, sufferings, what manner of things, befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra, what manner of persecutions, I endured, —and, out of all, the Lord, rescued me; —
12 Dhugumaanuu namni Kiristoos Yesuusiin nama Waaqaa taʼee jiraachuu barbaadu kam iyyuu ni ariʼatama;
Yea and, all who are determined to live in a godly manner in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted;
13 namoonni hamoonii fi gowwoomsitoonni garuu nama gowwoomsaa, of illee gowwoomfamaa hamminaan ittuma caalaa deemu.
Whereas, wicked men and howling impostors, will force their way to the worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 Ati garuu waan barattee fi waan hubatte sanatti jabaadhu; eenyu irraa akka baratte beektaatii;
But, thou, —abide in the things which thou hast learned, and been entrusted with, knowing, from whom, thou hast learned [them], —
15 akkasumas ati ijoollummaa keetii jalqabdee Katabbiiwwan Qulqulluu kanneen waaʼee fayyina karaa Kiristoos Yesuusitti amanuutiin argamu sanaaf ogeessa si taasisuu dandaʼan akkamitti akka baratte ni beekta.
And that, from a babe, those sacred letters, thou hast known which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus:
16 Katabbiin Qulqulluun hundi hafuura afaan Waaqaatii baʼeen kennaman; isaanis barsiisuuf, akeekkachiisuuf, sirreessuu fi qajeelummaan leenjisuuf ni fayyadu;
Every scripture, [is] God-breathed, and profitable—unto teaching, unto conviction, unto correction, unto the discipline that is in righteousness, —
17 kunis akka namni Waaqaa hojii gaarii hundumaaf guutummaatti hidhatee qophaaʼuuf.
In order that, ready, may be the man, of God, unto every good work, being well-prepared.
