2 Tasaloniiqee 3
1 Egaa yaa obboloota, akka dubbiin Gooftaa akkuma isin biratti taʼe sana dafee iddoo hunda gaʼuu fi akka ulfinas qabaatu nuuf kadhadhaa.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may rapidly spread, and be glorified, even as among you.
2 Akka nu harka namoota hamootii fi jalʼootaa jalaa baanuufis nuuf kadhadhaa; amantii kan qabu nama hunda mitii.
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for all men have not faith.
3 Gooftaan garuu amanamaa dha; inni isin cimsa; isa hamaa irraas isin eega.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish and keep you from the evil one.
4 Nu akka isin waan nu isin ajajne sana hojjechaa jirtan, akka ittuma fuftaniis hojjetan Gooftaa ni amananna.
For we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do, and will do, the things which we command you.
5 Gooftaan garaa keessan gara jaalala Waaqaatii fi gara obsa Kiristoositti haa qajeelchu.
And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
6 Yaa obboloota, isin obboleessa dhibaaʼaa fi kan akka bartee isin nurraa argattan sanaattis hin jiraanne hunda irraa akka fagaattaniif maqaa Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoosiin isin ajajna.
Now, we command you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks disorderly, and not according to the tradition which he received from us.
7 Isin mataan keessan akkamitti akka fakkeenya keenya duukaa buʼuu qabdan ni beektuutii. Nu yeroo isin bira turretti dhibaaʼota hin turre;
For yourselves know how you ought to imitate us--that we did not walk disorderly among you;
8 nus akka isin keessaa nama tokkotti illee baʼaa hin taaneef jennee, dadhabbii fi tattaaffii guddaan halkanii guyyaa hojjechaa turre malee buddeena nama tokkoo illee tola hin nyaanne.
but with labor and toil we wrought night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you.
9 Nu fakkeenya isinii taʼuuf waan kana goone malee waan aangoo hin qabneef miti.
Not because we have not a right, but that we might give ourselves to you for a pattern, to imitate us.
10 Nu yommuu isin bira turretti ajaja, “Namni hojjechuu hin barbaanne kam iyyuu hin nyaatin” jedhu isinii kenninee turreetii.
And, therefore, when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any one will not work, neither let him eat.
11 Akka isin keessaa namoonni tokko tokko dhibaaʼota taʼanii jiraatan dhageenyeerraatii. Isaan dhimma nama biraa keessa galuu malee ofii isaaniitii waan tokko illee hin hojjetan.
For we hear that there are some who still walk among you disorderly, not working at all, but prying into other people's affairs.
12 Namoonni akkanaa akka gab jedhanii hojii hojjetanii fi akka buddeena ofii isaanii nyaataniif Gooftaa Yesuus Kiristoosiin isaan ajajna; ni gorsinas.
Now, them who are such, we command and beseech by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 Isin garuu yaa obboloota, waan gaarii hojjechuutti hin laafinaa.
And you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 Yoo namni kam iyyuu dubbii keenya kan xalayaa kana keessaatiif hin ajajamne, nama kana yaadatti qabadhaa. Akka inni qaanaʼuufis isa wajjin tokkummaa hin qabaatinaa.
Now, if one do not obey our command in this letter, point out that man, and keep no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Taʼus akka obboleessaatti isa gorsaa malee akka diinaatti isa hin ilaalinaa.
Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Gooftaan nagaa mataan isaas yeroo hunda, karaa hundaan nagaa isinii haa kennu. Gooftaan hunduma keessan wajjin haa taʼu.
And may the Lord of peace himself give you peace always, in every event. The Lord be with you all.
17 Ani Phaawulos xalayaa kana harkuma kootiin barreessa; kunis mallattoo xalayoota koo hundaa ti. Akki ani itti barreessus kanuma.
The salutation of Paul, with my own hand, which is the token in every epistle: thus I write.
18 Ayyaanni Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoos isin hunda wajjin haa taʼu.
The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
