2 Tasaloniiqee 2

1 Yaa obboloota, waaʼee dhufaatii Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoosii fi waaʼee isa biratti walitti qabamuu keenyaa wanni nu isin kadhannu kana;

We implore now you, brothers, by the coming of the Lord of us Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him

2 kunis raajii yookaan dubbii yookaan xalayaa akka waan nu biraa dhufeetti hedamuun akka isin guyyaan Gooftaa ammuma iyyuu dhufeera jettanii daftanii hin raafamneef yookaan hin jeeqamneef.

for not soon to be shaken you in mind (nor *N(k)O*) to be troubled, neither through spirit nor through word nor through letter as if through us, as that has been present the day of the (Lord. *N(K)O*)

3 Namni tokko iyyuu karaa kamiin iyyuu isin hin gowwoomsin; utuu fincilli dursee hin dhufin, namni cubbuu, ilmi badiisaa sun utuu hin mulʼatin guyyaan sun hin dhufuutii.

No one you may deceive in not one way; that only unless shall have come the apostasy first and shall have been revealed the man (of lawlessness, *N(K)O*) the son of destruction,

4 Innis waan Waaqa jedhamu yookaan waan waaqeffatamu hundumaan mormee isaan irratti ol ol of qaba; “Ani Waaqa” ofiin jechuudhaanis mana qulqullummaa Waaqaa keessa taaʼa.

who is opposing and exalting himself above every [one] named god or object of worship so as for him in the temple of God (as god *K*) to sit down setting forth he himself that is God.

5 Isin akka ani yeroo isin bira turetti waan kana isinitti himaa ture hin yaadattanii?

Surely you do remember that yet being with you these things I was saying to you?

6 Akka inni yeroo murteeffame sanatti mulʼatuufis waan amma isa dhowwu ni beektu.

And now that which is restraining you know for to be revealed him in (his own *NK(o)*) time.

7 Icciitiin humna fincila sanaa amma iyyuu hojiitti jiraatii; garuu inni amma humna sana duubatti deebisu sun hamma karaa irraa fuudhamutti ittuma fufee isa dhowwa.

The for mystery already is working of lawlessness, only [there is] the [one] restraining [it] at present until out of [the] midst he may be [gone];

8 Inni Hamaan sun ni mulʼata; Yesuus Gooftaan immoo hafuuruma afaan ofii isaatiin isa galaafata; ifa dhufaatii isaatiinis isa barbadeessa.

And then will be revealed the lawless [one] whom the Lord (Jesus *NO*) (will execute *N(k)O*) with the breath of the mouth of Him and will annul by the appearing of the coming of Him;

9 Dhufaatiin namicha isa hamaa sanaa akkuma hojii Seexanaatti humna hundaa fi mallattoon, dinqii sobaatiinis ni taʼa;

whose is coming according to [the] working of Satan in every power and in signs and in wonders of falsehood

10 innis gowwoomsaa gosa hundaa kan warra badan sana ittiin gowwoomsuun mulʼata. Warri badan sunis sababii dhugaa silaa ittiin fayyan sana jaallachuu didaniif badu.

and in every deceit (*k*) of wickedness (in *k*) unto those perishing, in return for which the love of the truth not they received in order for to be saved them;

11 Kanaafuu Waaqni akka isaan soba amananiif waan nama wallaalchisu isaanitti erga;

And because of this (sends *N(k)O*) to them God a powerful delusion so that to believe they what [is] false,

12 kunis akka warra dhugaatti amanuu didanii jalʼinatti gammadan hundatti murtaaʼuuf.

in order that may be judged (all *NK(o)*) those not having believed the truth but having delighted (in *k*) in unrighteousness.

13 Nu garuu yaa obboloota Gooftaan jaallatamtan, sababii Waaqni warra jalqabaa godhee akka isin karaa Hafuuraan qulqulleeffamuutii fi karaa dhugaatti amanuutiin fayyitaniif isin filateef yeroo hunda Waaqa galateeffachuu qabna.

We ourselves however ought to give thanks to God always concerning you, brothers beloved by [the] Lord, that (has chosen *N(k)O*) you God (from [the] beginning *N(k)O*) unto salvation in [the] sanctification of [the] Spirit and [by] faith of [the] truth,

14 Innis akka isin ulfina Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoos keessatti hirmaattaniif karaa wangeela keenyaatiin kaayyoo kanaaf isin waame.

to this (also *n*) He called you through the gospel of us to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of the Lord of us Jesus Christ.

15 Egaa yaa obboloota, jabaadhaatii dhaabadhaa; barsiisa nu karaa dubbii afaaniitiin yookaan xalayaan isin barsiifne sana jabeessaatii qabadhaa.

So then, brothers, do stand firm and do hold fast to the traditions that you were taught whether through word or through letter from us.

16 Gooftaan keenya Yesuus Kiristoos mataan isaa, Waaqni Abbaan keenya inni nu jaallatee karaa ayyaana isaatiin jajjabina bara baraatii fi abdii gaarii nuu kenne sun, (aiōnios g166)

Himself now the Lord of us Jesus Christ and God (the *N(K)O*) Father of us, the [One] having loved us and having given [us] comfort eternal and hope good by grace, (aiōnios g166)

17 hojii fi dubbii gaarii hunda keessatti garaa keessan haa jajjabeessu; isin haa cimsus.

would He encourage your hearts and would He strengthen (you *k*) in every work and word good.
