And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it on all sides.
2 Magaalaan sunis hamma waggaa kudha tokkoffaa bara Zedeqiyaa Mootichaatti akkuma marfamtetti turte.
And the city was besieged to the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
3 Bultii saglaffaa jiʼa afuraffaatti, magaalattii keessatti beelli akka malee hammaatee namni waan nyaatu tokko illee dhabe.
And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
4 Ergasii dallaan magaalattii cabsamee loltoonni hundinuus utuma Baabilononni magaalaa sana marsanii jiranuu karaa karra dallaa iddoo biqiltuu mootichaa bira jiru lamaan gidduu baasu sanaatiin halkaniin baʼanii baqatan. Isaanis Arabbaatti baqatan;
And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city on all sides: ) and the king went the way toward the plain.

So they took the king, and brought him to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they pronounced sentence upon him.
7 Isaanis ijuma isaa duratti ilmaan Zedeqiyaa fixan; isaanis ija isaa keessaa baasanii foncaa naasiitiin hidhanii Baabilonitti isa geessan.
And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
8 Bara mootummaa Nebukadnezar mooticha Baabilon keessa waggaa kudha saglaffaatti, bultii torbaffaa jiʼa shanaffaatti, Nebuzaradaan ajajaan eegumsa mootummaa, qondaalli mootii Baabilon sun gara Yerusaalem dhufe.
And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, to Jerusalem:
9 Innis mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti, masaraa mootummaattii fi manneen Yerusaalem hundatti ibidda qabsiise. Manneen gurguddaa hundas ni gube.
And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house he burnt with fire.
10 Loltoonni Baabilon kanneen ajajaa eegumsa mootummaa jala turan hundi dallaawwan naannoo Yerusaalem turan diigan.
And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls of Jerusalem on all sides.
11 Nebuzaradaan ajajaan eegumsaa sun namoota magaalaa keessatti hafanii fi warra baqatanii mootii Baabilonitti kooluu galan boojiʼee fudhate.
Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away.
12 Ajajaan sun garuu hiyyeeyyii biyyattii keessaa gariin akka wayinii kunuunsanii fi lafa qotaniif achitti dhiise.
But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and farmers.

And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
14 Akkasumas okkoteewwan, waan ittiin daaraa hammaaran, waan ittiin ibsaa irraa daaraa dhadhaʼan, caabiiwwanii fi miʼoota naasii irraa hojjetaman kanneen tajaajila mana qulqullummaatiif oolan hunda fudhatan.
And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass by which they ministered, they took away.
15 Ajajaan eegumsaa sunis girgiraawwanii fi waciitiiwwan ittiin dhiiga facaasan kanneen hundi isaanii warqee qulqulluu irraa yookaan meetii irraa hojjetaman fudhatee deeme.
And the firepans, and the basins, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.
16 Ulfinni naasii kan Solomoon ittiin utubaawwan lamaan, Gaanii fi baattuuwwan iddoodhaa sochoʼaniin mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootiif hojjetee ture waan madaalliin madaaluu dandaʼuu oli turan.
The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was beyond weight.
17 Tokkoon tokkoon utubaa sanaa dhundhuma kudha saddeet ol dheerata ture. Guutuun naasii kan utubaa tokko irraas dhundhuma sadii ol dheeratee naannoon isaa guutuun sibiila wal keessa loofamee tolfamee fi roomaanii naasiitiin miidhagfamee ture. Utubaan kaanis sibiila isaa kan wal keessa loofamee tolfame wajjin kanuma fakkaata ture.
The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the capital upon it was brass: and the height of the capital three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the capital around, all of brass: and like these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
18 Ajajaan eegumsaa sun, Seraayaa lubicha hangafa, Sefaaniyaa lubicha Sadarkaan isatti aanuu fi eegdota balbalaa sadan hidhee fuudhee deeme.
And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
19 Warra amma illee magaalaa keessatti hafan keessaa ajajaa loltootaatii fi gorsitoota mootii shan fudhate. Akkasumas barreessaa qondaala ol aanaa ture kan saba keessaa loltummaaf namoota filatu sanaa fi namoota isaa kanneen magaalaa keessatti argaman jaatama fudhate.
And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, who were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
20 Nebuzaradaan ajajaan sun hunda isaanii guuree Riiblaatti gara mooticha Baabilonitti geesse.
And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
21 Mootichis achuma Riiblaat biyya Hamaati keessatti isaan ni fixe. Yihuudaanis akkasiin boojiʼamtee biyya isheetii baate.
And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
22 Nebukadnezar mootichi Baabilon akka inni namoota Yihuudaatti hambise sana bulchuuf Gedaaliyaas ilma Ahiiqaam ilma Shaafaan sana muude.
And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
23 Ajajjoonni loltootaa hundii fi namoonni isaanii yeroo akka mootichi Baabilon Gedaaliyaasin bulchaa kutaa biyyaa godhee muude dhagaʼanitti Gedaaliyaas bira Miisphaa dhufan; isaanis Ishmaaʼeel ilma Naataaniyaa, Yoohaanaan ilma Qaareyaa, Seraayaa ilma Tanhumeeti namicha Netoof sanaa, Yaazaniyaa ilma namicha Maʼakaatii fi namoota isaanii turan.
And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
24 Gedaaliyaasis, “Qondaaltota Baabilon hin sodaatinaa; biyyattii keessa qubadhaatii mooticha Baabilon tajaajilaa; waan gaariitu isinii taʼaatii” jedhee isaanii fi namoota isaaniitiif kakate.
And Gedaliah swore to them, and to their men, and said to them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
25 Garuu jiʼa torbaffaa keessa Ishmaaʼeel ilmi Naataaniyaa ilma Eliishaamaa kan sanyii moototaa irraa dhalate sun namoota kudhan wajjin dhufee Gedaaliyaas, namoota Yihuudaatii fi namoota Baabilon kanneen isa wajjin Miisphaa turan fixe.
But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
26 Kana irratti namni hundi xinnaa fi guddaan, Baabilonota sodaatee ajajjoota waraanaa wajjin gara Gibxitti baqate.
And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
27 Yehooyaakiin mootiin Yihuudaa boojiʼamee waggaa soddomii torbaffaa isaatti, Eewiil Marodaak mootii Baabilon taʼe; innis wagguma sana keessa bultii digdamii torbaffaa jiʼa kudha lammaffaatti Yehooyaakiin mootii Yihuudaa sana mana hidhaatii gad dhiise.
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign released Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
28 Afaan tolaadhaanis isatti dubbatee barcuma ulfinaa kan barcuma mootota isa wajjin Baabilon keessa turan kaanii caalu kenneef.
And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
29 Kanaafuu Yehooyaakiin uffata isaa kan mana hidhaatti uffachaa ture sana of irraa baasee bara jireenya isaa guutuu yeroo hunda maaddii mootichaa irraa nyaate.
And changed his prison garments: and he ate his food daily before him all the days of his life.
30 Mootichis hamma inni lubbuudhaan jiraatetti guyyuma guyyaadhaan waan isaaf barbaachisu Yehooyaakiiniif kennaa ture.
And his allowance was a daily allowance given him by the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
