2 Qorontos 6
1 Egaa nu warri Waaqa wajjin hojjennu, akka isin ayyaana Waaqaa akka waan gatii hin qabneetti hin fudhanne isin kadhanna.
And working jointly, we urge you also not to receive the grace of God in vain
2 Inni, “Ani yeroo fudhatama qabutti si dhagaʼeera; guyyaa fayyinaattis si gargaareera” jedhaatii. Kunoo yeroon fudhatama qabu amma; guyyaan fayyinaas amma.
(for he says, At an acceptable time I heard thee, and in a day of salvation I helped thee. Behold, now is an acceptable time. Behold, now is a day of salvation),
3 Nu akka tajaajilli keenya hin tuffatamneef, karaa nama kamii irra iyyuu gufuu hin keenyu.
giving not one cause of stumbling in anything, so that the ministry may not be criticized,
4 Qooda kanaa nu karaa hundaan akka tajaajiltoota Waaqaatti of dhiʼeessina; obsa guddaadhaan, dhiphinaan, gidiraa fi yaaddoon,
but in everything commending ourselves as helpers of God, in much perseverance, in afflictions, in necessities, in restrictions,
5 garafamuun, mana hidhaatti galfamuun, jeequmsaan, hojii dadhabsiisaa hojjechuun, hirriba dhabuun, beelaʼuun,
in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hungerings,
6 qulqullaaʼummaan, hubannaan, obsaa fi gara laafinaan, Hafuura Qulqulluu fi jaalala of tuulummaa hin qabneen,
in purity, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in non-hypocritical love,
7 dubbii dhugaatii fi humna Waaqaatiin, miʼa waraanaa kan qajeelinaa harka mirgaatii fi harka bitaatti qabachuun,
in word of truth, in power of God, through the weapons of righteousness of the right hand and of the left,
8 ulfinaa fi salphinaan, maqaa baduu fi maqaa toluun jiraanneerra; akkasumas utuu dhugaa qabeeyyii taanee jirruu, sobduu jedhamneerra;
through glory and disrepute, through slander and commendation; as deceitful, and yet true;
9 beekamtoota turre; garuu akka warra hin beekaminiitti hedamne; nu duʼaa jirra; garuu kunoo ni jiraanna; ni tumamna; garuu hin ajjeefamnu;
as unknown, and well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and not put to death;
10 ni gaddina; garuu yeroo hunda ni gammanna; hiyyeeyyii dha; garuu namoota hedduu sooromsina; homaa hin qabnu; garuu waan hunda qabna.
as grieving, but always rejoicing; as poor, but making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 Yaa warra Qorontos, nu afaan guunnee isinitti dubbanneerra; garaan keenyas isiniif banamaa dha.
O Corinthians, our mouth has been opened to you, our heart has been enlarged.
12 Isinitu garaa nu dhokfate malee nu garaa isin hin dhokfanne.
Ye are not limited in us, but ye are limited in your bowels.
13 Ani akka waan isin ijoollee koo taataniittin isinitti dubbadha; isinis akkasuma garaa keessan balʼisaa nuu banaa.
But I speak the same recompense as to children, be ye also enlarged.
14 Warra hin amanneen walitti hin camadaminaa. Qajeelummaa fi jalʼinni maal wal irraa qabu? Yookaan ifni dukkana wajjin tokkummaa maalii qaba?
Do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 Kiristoosii fi Belhor gidduu walii galtee maaliitu jira? Namni amanu tokko nama hin amanne wajjin maal wal irraa qaba?
And what agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what share have believers with non-believers?
16 Manni qulqullummaa Waaqaa waaqota tolfamoo wajjin walii galtee maalii qaba? Nu mana qulqullummaa Waaqa jiraataa ti. Waaqnis akkana jedhee dubbateera; “Ani isaan wajjin nan jiraadha; isaan gidduus nan deddeebiʼa. Ani Waaqa isaanii nan taʼa; isaanis saba koo ni taʼu.”
And what mutual agreement has a temple of God with idols? For ye are a temple of the living God, just as God said, I will dwell in them, and will walk among them. And I will be their God, and they will be a people to me.
17 Kanaafuu, “Isaan keessaa baʼaa; isaan irraas gargar foʼamaa; jedha Gooftaan. Waan xuraaʼaa hin tuqinaa, anis isinan simadha.”
Therefore, Come ye out from among them, and be ye separated, says the Lord, And touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you
18 Amma illee, “Ani Abbaa isiniif nan taʼa; isinis ilmaanii fi intallan koo ni taatu; jedha Gooftaan Waan Hunda Dandaʼu.”
and will be for a Father to you, and ye will be for sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.
