2 Qorontos 11
1 Ani gowwummaa koo ishee xinnoo naa obsitu jedheen abdadha; duraanuu naa obsitaniirtu.
I earnestly wish ye could bear with me a little in [my] folly: and indeed bear with me.
2 Ani hinaaffaa Waaqaatiin isiniif nan hinaafa. Ani akka durba tokkootti fuula isaa duratti isin dhiʼeessuuf dhirsa tokko jechuunis Kiristoosiif isin kaadhimeeraatii.
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 Garuu akkuma bofti haxxummaa isaatiin Hewaanin gowwoomse sana yaadni keessanis akkasuma dhugaa fi qulqullina ittiin Kiristoosiif of kennitan sana irraa ni dogoggorfama jedheen sodaadha.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 Namni tokko gara keessan dhufee yoo Yesuus nu isinii lallabne malee Yesuus kan biraa isinii lallabe, yookaan Hafuura nu isinii lallabne malee hafuura kan biraa yoo fudhattan, yookaan wangeela nu isinii lallabne malee wangeela kan biraa yoo fudhattan ni obsitu.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].
5 Ani, “Ergamoota hangafoota” sanaa gaditti of hin ilaalu.
For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very greatest apostles.
6 Ani dubbiitti leenjii hin qabu; garuu beekumsa qaba. Kanas karaa hundaan sirriitti isinii ibsineerra.
But though [I am] rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been thoroughly made manifest among you in all things.
7 Wangeela Waaqaa gatii malee isinitti lallabuudhaan akka isin ol ol jettaniif ani gad of qabuun koo cubbuu turee?
Have I committed an offense in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God without reward?
8 Ani isin tajaajiluuf jedhee gargaarsa isaan irraa fudhachuudhaan waldoota kiristaanaa kaan saameera.
I robbed other churches, taking wages [of them], to do you service.
9 Ani yeroon isin bira turee fi yeroo waa na barbaachisetti eenyutti illee baʼaa hin taane; obboloonni Maqedooniyaa irraa dhufan waan na barbaachisuun na gargaaraa turaniitii. Anis waanuma tokkoon illee akka baʼaa isinitti hin taaneef of eeggachaan ture; amma illee ittuma fufee ofin eeggadha.
And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied: and in all [things] I have kept myself from being burdensome to you, and [so] will I keep [myself].
10 Hamma dhugaan Kiristoos na keessa jirutti boonuu koo kana kutaalee biyya Akaayaa keessatti eenyu iyyuu na dhowwuu hin dandaʼu.
As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
11 Maaliif? Ani waan isin hin jaallanneef moo? Isin jaallachuu koo Waaqni ni beeka!
Why? because I love you not? God knoweth.
12 Warra waan ittiin boonaniin nuun qixxaachuuf jedhanii carraa barbaaddatan carraa dhowwachuuf ani waanan amma hojjedhu ittuma fufee nan hojjedha.
But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them who desire occasion; that in what they glory, they may be found even as we.
13 Namoonni akkanaa ergamoota sobaa, hojjettoota nama gowwoomsan, warra ergamoota Kiristoos fakkaachuuf of geeddaranii dha.
For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 Seexanni mataan isaa ergamaa ifaa fakkaachuuf waan of geeddaruuf kun nama hin dinqu.
And no wonder; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Egaa tajaajiltoonni isaas yoo tajaajiltoota qajeelummaa fakkaachuuf of geeddaran kun waan nama dinqu miti. Dhumni isaaniis akkuma hojii isaanii taʼa.
Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also are transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
16 Ani ammas irra deebiʼee nan dubbadha: Namni tokko iyyuu gowwaa na hin seʼin. Isin yoo gowwaa na seetan ani xinnoo akkan boonuuf akkuma gowwaa tokkootti na fudhadhaa.
I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
17 Ani of amanadhee boonuu kana keessatti akka gowwaa tokkoottin dubbadha malee akka Gooftaan dubbatutti hin dubbadhu.
That which I speak, I speak [it] not according to the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.
18 Waan namoonni hedduun akkuma yaada fooniitti boonaniif, anis nan boona.
Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
19 Isin ogeeyyii waan taataniif gammachuudhaan gowwootaaf obsitu!
For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye [yourselves] are wise.
20 Yoo eenyu iyyuu isin garboomfate yookaan yoo isin irraa nyaate yookaan yoo faayidaa ofiitiif isinitti fayyadame yookaan yoo koore yookaan yoo isin kabale ni obsituutii.
For ye suffer, if a man bringeth you into bondage, if a man devoureth [you], if a man taketh [from you], if a man exalteth himself, if a man smiteth you on the face.
21 Akka nu waan akkasii irratti dadhaboo turre ani qaanaʼaa nan dubbadha. Ani akka gowwaa tokkoottin dubbadha; waan namni kam iyyuu ittiin of jajuu fi ija jabaatu sana anis ittiin of jajuuf ija nan jabaa dha.
I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. But in whatever respect any is bold, (I speak foolishly) I am bold also.
22 Isaan Ibrootaa? Anis akkasuma. Isaan Israaʼelootaa? Anis akkasuma. Isaan sanyii Abrahaamii? Anis akkasuma.
Are they Hebrews? so [am] I. Are they Israelites? so [am] I. Are they the offspring of Abraham? so [am] I.
23 Isaan tajaajiltoota Kiristoosii? Ani akka nama qalbii dabarseettin dubbadhaatii ani nan caala. Ani caalchisee baayʼee itti dadhabeera; caalchisee yeroo baayʼee hidhameera; caalchisee akka malee garafameera; ammumaa ammas duʼaaf saaxilameera.
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I [am] more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often.
24 Harka Yihuudootaattis siʼa shan afurtama jechuu tokko hanquu garafameera.
From the Jews five times I received forty [stripes] save one.
25 Siʼa sadii uleen dhaanameera; siʼa tokko dhagaadhaan tumameera; siʼa sadii dooniin na jalaa caccabeera; halkan tokkoo fi guyyaa tokko galaana keessa tureera;
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
26 ani utuun wal irraa hin kutin deemsa irra ture. Balaan lagaa, balaan saamtotaa, balaan saba kootii, balaan Namoota Ormaa, magaalaa keessatti balaan, gammoojjii keessatti balaan, galaana irratti balaan, obboloota sobaa irraas balaan na mudatee ture.
[In] journeyings often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils by [my own] countrymen, [in] perils by the heathen, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;
27 Ani baayʼee hojjedhee bututeera; halkan baayʼee hirriba dhabeera; beelaʼeera; dheebodheera; yeroo baayʼee soomeera; dhaamodheera; daareeras.
In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
28 Kana hundumaa caalaa yaaddoo ani waldoota kiristaanaa hundumaaf qabutu guyyaa guyyaan natti ulfaata.
Besides those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
29 Eenyutu dadhabaa dha? Ani hin dadhabuu ree? Eenyutu hin gufanne? Ani aaree hin gubadhuu ree?
Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is made to fall into sin, and I burn not?
30 Ani yoon of jajuu qabaadhe waan dadhabbii koo mulʼisuun of nan jaja.
If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern my infirmities.
31 Waaqaa fi Abbaan Gooftaa Yesuus inni bara baraan eebbifamu sun akka ani hin sobne ni beeka. (aiōn g165)
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. (aiōn g165)
32 Damaasqoo keessatti namichi mooticha Areexaas jalatti bulchaa biyyaa ture na qabsiisuuf jedhee magaalaa namoota Damaasqoo eegsisaa ture.
In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
33 Ani garuu foddaa dallaa keessaan guuboodhaan gad buufamee harka isaa jalaa baʼe.
And through a window in a basket I was let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
