2 Seenaa 29
1 Hisqiyaas yeroo mootii taʼetti nama waggaa digdamii shan ture; innis Yerusaalem keessa taaʼee waggaa digdamii sagal bulche. Maqaan haadha isaa Abiyaa ture; isheenis intala Zakkaariyaas.
Hezekiah [was] a son of twenty-five years [when] he has reigned, and he has reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Abijah daughter of Zechariah;
2 Innis akkuma Daawit abbaan isaa godhe sana fuula Waaqayyoo duratti waan qajeelaa hojjete.
and he does that which is right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father David did.
3 Inni bara mootummaa isaa keessa jiʼa jalqaba waggaa tokkoffaatti balbalawwan mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo ni bane; ni haaromses.
He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, has opened the doors of the house of YHWH, and strengthens them,
4 Lubootaa fi Lewwota waamsisee oobdii karaa baʼa biiftuutiin jiru irratti walitti isaan qabee
and brings in the priests and the Levites, and gathers them to the broad place to the east.
5 akkana jedheen; “Yaa Lewwota, mee na dhagaʼaa! Amma of qulqulleessaatii mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyo Waaqa abbootii keessanii illee qulqulleessaa. Waan xuraaʼaa hunda iddoo qulqulluu keessaa baasaa.
And he says to them, “Hear me, O Levites, now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of YHWH, God of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the holy place,
6 Abbootiin keenya sababii amanamoo hin turiniif fuula Waaqayyo Waaqa keenyaa duratti waan hamaa hojjetanii isa irraa garagalan. Isaanis iddoo jireenya Waaqayyoo irraa fuula isaanii deebifatanii dugda isaanii isatti garagalchan.
for our fathers have trespassed, and done that which is evil in the eyes of our God YHWH, and forsake him, and turn around their faces from the Dwelling Place of YHWH, and give the neck.
7 Akkasumas balbala gardaafoo cufanii ibsaawwan ni dhaamsan. Isaan Waaqa Israaʼeliif iddoo qulqulluutti ixaana hin aarsine yookaan aarsaa gubamu hin dhiʼeessine.
They have also shut the doors of the porch, and quench the lamps, and they have not made incense, and have not caused burnt-offering to ascend in the holy place to the God of Israel,
8 Kanaafuu dheekkamsi Waaqayyoo Yihuudaa fi Yerusaalem irra buʼe; inni akkuma isin ija keessaniin arguu dandeessan kana nama qaanii, nama qoosaa fi nama kolfaa isaan godhe.
and the wrath of YHWH is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He gives them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as you are seeing with your eyes.
9 Sababiin abbootiin keenya goraadeedhaan dhumaniif, sababiin ilmaan keenya, intallanii fi niitonni keenya illee boojiʼamaniif kanuma.
And behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives [are] in captivity for this.
10 Ani amma akka dheekkamsi isaa inni sodaachisaan sun nurraa deebiʼuuf Waaqayyo Waaqa Israaʼel wajjin kakuu galuu yaadeera.
Now [it is] with my heart to make a covenant before YHWH, God of Israel, and the fierceness of His anger turns back from us.
11 Yaa ilmaan ko, egaa hin dagatinaa; Waaqayyo akka isin fuula isaa dura dhaabattaniif, akka isa tajaajiltaniif, akka fuula isaa duratti hojjettoota isaa taatanii ixaana aarsitaniif isin filateeraatii.”
My sons, do not be at rest now, for YHWH has fixed on you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be ministering and making incense to Him.”
12 Ergasii Lewwonni kunneen hojiitti bobbaʼan; isaanis: Ilmaan Qohaatotaa keessaa, Mahat ilma Amaasaayii fi Yooʼeel ilma Azaariyaa; ilmaan Meraarotaa keessaa, Qiish ilma Abdii fi Azaariyaa ilma Yehaleliʼeel; ilmaan Geershoonotaa keessaa, Yooʼak ilma Zimaa fi Eeden ilma Yooʼaa;
And the Levites rise—Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathite; and of the sons of Merari: Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehalelel; and of the Gershonite: Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;
13 ilmaan Eliisaafaanotaa keessaa, Shimrii fi Yeʼiiʼeel; ilmaan Asaaf keessaa, Zakkaariyaasii fi Mataaniyaa;
and of the sons of Elizaphan: Shimri and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph: Zechariah and Mattaniah;
14 ilmaan Heemaan keessaa, Yehiiʼeelii fi Shimeʼii; ilmaan Yeduutuun keessaa, Shemaaʼiyaa fi Uziiʼeel.
and of the sons of Heman: Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun: Shemaiah and Uzziel—
15 Isaan erga obboloota isaanii walitti qabanii of qulqulleessanii booddee akkuma mootichi akka dubbii Waaqayyootti isaan ajajetti mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo qulqulleessuuf ol ni seenan.
and they gather their brothers, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of YHWH, to cleanse the house of YHWH,
16 Luboonnis mana Waaqayyoo qulqulleessuuf ol ni seenan. Isaanis waan mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo keessatti argan kan qulqulluu hin taʼin hunda gara oobdii mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti gad baasan. Lewwonnis achii guuranii Sulula Qeedroonitti geessan.
and the priests come into the inner part of the house of YHWH to cleanse [it], and bring out all the uncleanness that they have found in the temple of YHWH to the court of the house of YHWH, and the Levites receive [it], to take [it] out to the Brook of Kidron outside.
17 Isaanis hojii qulqulleessuu kana guyyaa jalqaba jiʼa duraatii jalqabanii bultii saddeettaffaatti gardaafoo Waaqayyoo bira ni gaʼan. Guyyaa saddeet itti dabalanii mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo qulqulleessanii jiʼa tokkoffaa guyyaa kudha jaʼaffaatti fixan.
And they begin to sanctify on the first of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they have come to the porch of YHWH, and they sanctify the house of YHWH in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they have finished.
18 Isaanis gara Hisqiyaas Mootichaa dhaqanii akkana jedhaniin; “Nu guutummaa mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo, iddoo aarsaan gubamu itti dhiʼeeffamu miʼa isaa hunda wajjin, minjaala buddeenni qulqulleeffame irra kaaʼamu miʼa isaa hunda wajjin qulqulleessineerra.
And they come in to Hezekiah the king within, and say, “We have cleansed all the house of YHWH, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels,
19 Miʼoota Aahaaz mootichi yeroo mootii turetti amanamummaa dhabee iddoo isaaniitii fuudhe hunda qulqulleessineerra; miʼoonni sunis fuula iddoo aarsaa Waaqayyoo dura jiru.”
and all the vessels that King Ahaz cast away in his reign—in his trespass—we have prepared and sanctified, and behold, they [are] before the altar of YHWH.”
20 Hisqiyaas Mootichi guyyaa itti aanu ganama bariidhaan qondaaltota magaalaa walitti qabee gara mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti ol baʼe.
And Hezekiah the king rises early, and gathers the heads of the city, and goes up to the house of YHWH;
21 Isaanis mootummaaf, mana qulqullummaa fi Yihuudaaf korommii loonii torba, korbeeyyii hoolaa torba, xobbaallaawwan torbaa fi korbeeyyii reʼee torba aarsaa cubbuu godhanii ni dhiʼeessan. Mootichis akka isaan horii kanneen iddoo aarsaa Waaqayyoo irratti aarsaa dhiʼeessaniif luboota sanyii Aroon sana ni ajaje.
and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young male goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he commands to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause [them] to ascend on the altar of YHWH.
22 Luboonnis korommii loonii sana qalanii dhiiga isaanii iddoo aarsaa irratti faffacaasan; itti aansaniis korbeeyyii hoolaa qalanii dhiiga isaanii iddoo aarsaa irratti faffacaasan; ergasii immoo xobbaallaawwan qalanii dhiiga isaanii iddoo aarsaa irratti faffacaasan.
And they slaughter the oxen, and the priests receive the blood, and sprinkle on the altar; and they slaughter the rams, and sprinkle the blood on the altar; and they slaughter the lambs, and sprinkle the blood on the altar;
23 Reʼoonni aarsaa cubbuutiif fidamanis fuula mootichaa fi fuula waldaa duratti dhiʼeeffaman; jarris isaan irra harka isaanii kaaʼan.
and they bring the male goats of the sin-offering near before the king and the assembly, and they lay their hands on them;
24 Sababii mootichi aarsaa gubamuu fi aarsaa cubbuu Israaʼel hundaaf ajajeef luboonni reʼoota qalanii Israaʼel hundaaf araara buusuuf dhiiga isaanii iddoo aarsaa irratti dhiʼeessan.
and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, that “For all Israel,” said the king, “[is] the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.”
25 Innis akkuma Daawitii fi Gaad ilaaltuu mootichaa fi Naataan raajichaan ajajametti Lewwota kilillee, baganaa fi kiraara qabachiisee mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti ramade; kunis ajaja Waaqayyo karaa raajota isaatiin kennee dha.
And he appoints the Levites in the house of YHWH with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for the command [is] by the hand of YHWH, by the hand of His prophets;
26 Kanaafuu Lewwonni miʼa faarfannaa kan Daawit, luboonni immoo malakata isaanii qabatanii qophaaʼanii dhaabatan.
and the Levites stand with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 Hisqiyaas akka aarsaan gubamu iddoo aarsaa irratti dhiʼeeffamuuf ajaje. Akkuma aarsaan dhiʼeeffamuu jalqabeen faarfannaan malakataa fi miʼa faarfannaa kan Daawit mooticha Israaʼeliin Waaqayyoof faarfatamus ni jalqabame.
And Hezekiah commands to cause the burnt-offering to ascend on the altar; and at the time the burnt-offering began, the song of YHWH began, and the trumpets, and with [the] hands of [the] instruments of David king of Israel.
28 Waldaan guutuun gad jedhee sagade; faarfattoonni ni faarfatan; warri malakata afuufanis ni afuufan. Wanni kun hundi hamma aarsaan gubamu dhiʼeeffamee xumuramutti itti fufe.
And all the assembly are worshiping, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing; the whole [is] until the completion of the burnt-offering.
29 Yommuu aarsaa dhiʼeessuun xumurametti mootichii fi warri isa wajjin turan hundinuu jilbeenfatanii sagadan.
And at the completion of the offering up, the king and all those found with him have bowed, and pay respect.
30 Hisqiyaas Mootichii fi qondaaltonni isaa akka Lewwonni dubbii Daawitii fi dubbii Asaaf ilaaltuu sanaatiin Waaqayyoon galateeffatan ajajan. Kanaafuu isaan gammachuudhaan faarfannaa galataa faarfatanii gad jedhanii sagadan.
And Hezekiah the king commands—and the princes—to the Levites [to cause them] to give praise to YHWH in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, and they praise—to joy, and they bow, and pay respect.
31 Ergasiis Hisqiyaas, “Isin amma Waaqayyoof of qulqulleessitaniirtu. Kottaatii qalmaa fi aarsaa galataa mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti galchaa” jedhe. Kanaafuu waldaan sun qalmaa fi aarsaa galataa dhiʼeesse; warri garaan isaanii jaallate hundis aarsaa gubamu dhiʼeessan.
And Hezekiah answers and says, “Now you have filled your hand for YHWH, come near, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of YHWH”; and the assembly brings in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one—burnt-offerings.
32 Aarsaan gubamu kan waldaan sun dhiʼeesses korommii loonii torbaatama, korbeeyyii hoolaa dhibba tokkoo fi xobbaallaawwan hoolaa dhibba lama ture; kunneen hundi aarsaa gubamu taʼanii Waaqayyoof dhiʼeeffaman.
And the number of the burnt-offerings that the assembly has brought in is seventy oxen, one hundred rams, [and] two hundred lambs; for all these [are] a burnt-offering to YHWH.
33 Horiin qulqulleeffamee qalmaaf dhiʼeeffame walumaa galatti korommii loonii dhibba jaʼaa fi hoolaa fi reʼee kuma sadii ture.
And the sanctified things [are] six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
34 Haa taʼu malee horii aarsaaf dhiʼeeffaman irraa gogaa baasuuf lakkoobsi lubootaa gaʼaa hin turre; kanaafuu firoonni isaanii Lewwonni hamma hojiin sun dhumuttii fi hamma luboonni biraa qulqulleeffamanitti isaan gargaaran; Lewwonni ofii isaanii qulqulleessuutti luboota caalaa gara toloota turaniitii.
Only, the priests have become few, and have not been able to strip the whole of the burnt-offerings, and their brothers the Levites strengthen them until the completion of the work, and until the priests sanctify themselves, for the Levites [are] more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
35 Cooma aarsaa nagaa fi dhibaayyuu aarsaa gubamu wajjin dhiʼeeffamu dabalatee aarsaan gubamu akka malee hedduutu ture. Akkasiin tajaajilli mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo akka duriitti deebiʼe.
And also, burnt-offerings [are] in abundance, with fat of the peace-offerings, and with oblations for the burnt-offering; and the service of the house of YHWH is established,
36 Hisqiyaasii fi namoonni hundi sababii waan Waaqni saba isaaf godheef ni gammadan; wanni kun dafee taʼeetii.
and Hezekiah and all the people rejoice because of God’s giving preparation to the people, for the thing has been suddenly.
