1 Xiimotewos 1

1 Phaawulos isa ajaja fayyisaa keenya Waaqaatii fi abdii keenya Kiristoos Yesuusiin ergamaa Kiristoos Yesuus taʼe irraa,

Paul, an apostle of Yahushua the Messiah by the commandment of YHWH our Saviour, and Master Yahushua the Messiah our hope;

2 Gara Xiimotewos isa amantiidhaan ilma koo dhugaa taʼeetti: Waaqa Abbaa fi Gooftaa keenya Kiristoos Yesuus irraa ayyaanni, araarrii fi nagaan siif haa taʼu.

Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Favour, mercy, and peace, from YHWH our Father and Yahushua the Messiah our Master.

3 Akkuma ani yeroo Maqedooniyaa dhaqetti si gorse sana ati akka namoonni tokko tokko barsiisa addaa hin barsiifne akka ajajjuuf achuma Efesoon turi;

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

4 akkasumas akka isaan oduu hundee hin qabnee fi hidda dhalootaa kan dhuma hin qabne sanaan hin fudhatamne isaan ajaji. Wanni kun hojii Waaqaa kan amantiin taʼu guddisuu irra mormii kakaasaatii.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than edifying which is in faith: so do.

5 Kaayyoon ajaja kanaas jaalala garaa qulqulluu, qalbii gaarii fi amantii itti fakkeessuu hin qabne keessaa baʼuu dha.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

6 Namoonni tokko tokko karaa kana irraa badanii gara dubbii faayidaa hin qabneetti gara galaniiru.

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

7 Isaanis maal akka jedhan yookaan akka waaʼee maalii cimsanii dubbatan utuu hin hubatin barsiistota seeraa taʼuu barbaadu.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

8 Yoo namni sirriitti itti fayyadame seerri gaarii akka taʼe ni beekna.

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Seerri warra seera cabsanii fi finciltootaaf, warra Waaqa malee jiraatanii fi cubbamootaaf, warra qulqulluu hin taʼinii fi xuraaʼotaaf, warra abbaa isaaniitii fi haadha isaanii ajjeesanii fi warra nama ajjeesaniif malee akka qajeeltotaaf hin tumamin ni beekna;

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the wicked and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 akkanumas seerri ejjitootaa fi dhiirota dhiira wajjin sagaagalaniif, warra garba daldalanii fi warra soba dubbataniif, warra sobaan dhugaa baʼanii fi warra barsiisa dhugaatiin morman hundumaaf akka tumame ni beekna;

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

11 kunis wangeela ulfina qabeessa kan Waaqa eebbifamaa irraa imaanaa natti kenname sana wajjin walii gala.

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed Elohim, which was committed to my trust.

12 Waan inni tajaajila isaatiif na filatee akka nama amanamaatti na lakkaaʼeef, ani Gooftaa keenya Kiristoos Yesuus isa jabina naa kenne sana nan galateeffadha.

And I thank the Messiah Yahushua our Master, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

13 Ani kanaan dura nama nama arrabsu, kan nama ariʼatuu fi kan nama miidhu taʼu iyyuu sababii ani wallaalummaa fi amantii dhabuun waan kana hojjedheef araara argadhe.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 Ayyaanni Gooftaa keenyaas amantii fi jaalala Kiristoos Yesuusiin argamu wajjin baayʼinaan narratti dhangalaafame.

And the favour of our Master was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in the Messiah Yahushua.

15 Dubbiin, “Kiristoos Yesuus cubbamoota fayyisuudhaaf gara addunyaa dhufe” jedhu sun amanamaa dha; namni hundinuus kana fudhachuu qaba; cubbamoota sana keessaas cubbamaan cubbamoota hunda caalu ana.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that the Messiah Yahushua came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Taʼus sababuma kanaaf Yesuus Kiristoos akka ani warra jireenya bara baraa argachuuf isatti amananiif fakkeenya taʼuuf ana nama cubbamoota hunda caalaa cubbamaa taʼeen obsa isaa kan dhuma hin qabne sana mulʼisuuf jedhee naa araarame. (aiōnios g166)

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Yahushua the Messiah might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)

17 Egaa Mootii bara baraa, isa hin duune, isa ijatti hin mulʼanne Waaqa tokkicha sanaaf bara baraa hamma bara baraatti ulfinnii fi galanni haa taʼu. Ameen. (aiōn g165)

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise Elohim, be honour and glory for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)

18 Yaa ilma koo Xiimotewos, akkuma raajii kanaan dura waaʼee kee dubbatame sanaatti, akka ati lola gaarii loltuuf ani ajaja kana siifin kenna;

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

19 waan kanas amantii fi qalbii qajeelaa qabaachuudhaan godhi. Namoonni tokko tokko waan kana gochuu didanii amantii isaanii balleessaniiru.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

20 Himenewoosii fi Iskindiroos warri ani akka isaan Waaqa arrabsuu dhiisuu barataniif dabarsee Seexanatti kenne sun isaan keessatti argamu.

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
