1 Solomoon Mootichis akkasiin Israaʼel hunda bulche.
So King Solomon ruled over Israel,
2 Jarri kunneenis qondaaltota isaa ol aantota turan: Azaariyaa ilmi Zaadoq luba ture;
and these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok was the priest;
3 Eliihoorefii fi Ahiiyaan, ilmaan Shiishaaʼaa barreessitoota turan; Yehooshaafaax ilmi Ahiiluud galmeessaa ture;
Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
4 Benaayaa ilmi Yehooyaadaa ajajaa loltootaa ol aanaa ture; Zaadoqii fi Abiyaataar immoo luboota turan;
Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in charge of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
5 Azaariyaa ilmi Naataan itti gaafatamaa bulchitoota aanaalee biyyaa ture; Zaabuud ilmi Naataan lubaa fi gorsituu mootichaa kan dhuunfaa ture;
Azariah son of Nathan was in charge of the governors; Zabud son of Nathan was a priest and adviser to the king;
6 Ahiishaar, itti gaafatamaa masaraa mootummaa ture; Adooniiraam ilmi Abdaa itti gaafatamaa warra hojii humnaa hojjetanii ture.
Ahishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor.
7 Solomoonis Israaʼel hunda irratti bulchitoota aanaalee kudha lama kanneen mootichaa fi warra mana mootichaa jiraataniif nyaata dhiʼeessan qaba ture. Tokkoon tokkoon isaaniis waggaa keessatti jiʼa tokko tokko nyaata dhiʼeessu ture.
Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel to provide food for the king and his household. Each one would arrange provisions for one month of the year,
8 Maqaan isaaniis kanaa dha: Ben-Huur, biyya gaaraa Efreemitti;
and these were their names: Ben-hur in the hill country of Ephraim;
9 Ben-Deqeer Maqaazitti, Shaʼalbiimitti, Beet Shemeshittii fi Eeloon Beet Haanaanitti;
Ben-deker in Makaz, in Shaalbim, in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon-beth-hanan;
10 Ben-Heseed Aruboot keessaa, Sookootii fi biyyi Heefer guutuun kan isaa ture;
Ben-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);
11 Ben-Abiinaadaab, Naafoot Dooritti Xaafati intala Solomoon fuudhee ture;
Ben-abinadab in Naphath-dor (Taphath, a daughter of Solomon, was his wife);
12 Baʼanaan ilma Ahiiluud, biyya Taʼanaakii fi Megidootti akkasumas Beet Sheʼaan Zaaretaanitti aanee Yizriʼeel gad jiru guutuutti, Beet Sheʼaanii jalqabee hamma Yoqemiʼaam ishee Abeel Mehoolaa gamatti;
Baana son of Ahilud in Taanach, in Megiddo, and in all of Beth-shean next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah and on past Jokmeam;
13 Ben-Geeber Raamoot Giliʼaad keessatti qubatawwan Yaaʼiir ilma Minaasee kanneen Giliʼaad keessaa, akkasumas biyyi Argobbi kan Baashaan keessatti argamuu fi magaalaawwan gurguddaan dallaan itti ijaaramee danqaraawwan balbalaa kanneen naasii irraa hojjetaman qaban jaatamni kan isaa turan.
Ben-geber in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan with its sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);

19 Geber ilmi Uuri biyya Giliʼaad jechuunis biyya Sihoon mooticha Amoorotaatii fi biyya Oogi mooticha Baashaan keessatti; isa qofatu biyya sana bulchaa ture.
Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, including the territories of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan. There was also one governor in the land of Judah.
20 Namoonni Yihuudaatii fi Israaʼel akkuma cirracha qarqara galaanaa baayʼee turan; isaanis nyaatanii dhuganii gammadan.
The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
21 Solomoonis mootummoota Laga Efraaxiisii hamma biyya Filisxeemotaatti, hamma daarii Gibxitti jiran hunda bulchaa ture. Biyyoonni kunneenis gibira isaaf fidanii bara jireenya isaa guutuu Solomooniif bulan.
And Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These kingdoms offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Nyaanni guyyuma guyyaatti Solomooniif galu daakuu qulqulluu Koorii soddoma, midhaan koorii jaatama,
Solomon’s provisions for a single day were thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal,
23 sangoota coccoomoo kudhan, loon kaloo dheedan digdama, hoolotaa fi reʼoota dhibba tokko, akkasumas borofa, kuruphee, gadamsaa fi indaanqoo dha.
ten fat oxen, twenty range oxen, and a hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry.
24 Inni mootummoota Laga Efraaxiisiin gama dhiʼa biiftuu jiran hunda, Tifsaadhaa hamma Gaazaatti bulchaa tureetii; karaa hundaanis nagaa qaba ture.
For Solomon had dominion over everything west of the Euphrates —over all the kingdoms from Tiphsah to Gaza—and he had peace on all sides.
25 Bara Solomoon keessa Yihuudaa fi Israaʼel Daanii jalqabanii hamma Bersheebaatti nagaan jiraatan; tokkoon tokkoon namaas muka wayiniitii fi muka harbuu ofii isaa jala boqote.
Throughout the days of Solomon, Judah and Israel dwelt securely from Dan to Beersheba, each man under his own vine and his own fig tree.
26 Solomoonis gola fardeen gaarii harkisan keessa bulan kuma afurii fi fardeen kuma kudha lama qaba ture.
Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.
27 Bulchitoonni aanaalee sunis yeroo jiʼi isaanii gaʼutti tokkoon tokkoon isaanii mootichaa fi warra maaddii Solomoon mootichaa irraa nyaatan hundaaf nyaata dhiʼeessu ture. Akka wanni tokko iyyuu hin hanqanneefis ni toʼatu turan.
Each month the governors in turn provided food for King Solomon and all who came to his table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.
28 Akkasumas fardeen gaarii harkisanii fi fardeen kaaniif iddoo barbaadameefitti garbuu fi cidii dhiʼeessu turan.
Each one also brought to the required place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and other horses.
29 Waaqnis ogummaa fi hubannaa guddaa akkasumas garaa balʼaa akka cirracha qarqara galaanaa Solomooniif kenne.
And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore.
30 Ogummaan Solomoon ogummaa namoota baʼa biiftuu jiraatanii hunda caala; ogummaa Gibxi hundas ni caala.
Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Inni nama kam iyyuu caalaa ogeessa; Eetaan namicha gosa Izraahi sana caalaa, Heemaan, Kalqoolii fi Dardaa ilmaan Maahool caalaa ogeessa. Maqaan isaas saboota naannoo sana jiraatan hunda biratti beekame.
He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.

Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.
33 Inni birbirsa Libaanoon jalqabee hamma hiisophii dallaa irratti guddatuutti jireenya biqiltuuwwanii ibse. Waaʼee bineensotaatii fi waaʼee simbirroo, waaʼee uumamawwan lafa irra looʼaniitii fi waaʼee qurxummii illee dubbateera.
He spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing in the wall, and he taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
34 Namoonni biyyoota hundaa ogummaa Solomoon dhagaʼuuf mootota addunyaa kanneen waaʼee ogummaa isaa dhagaʼan hunda biraa dhufaa turan.
So men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
