1 Ergasiis dubbiin Waaqayyoo Baʼishaaniin mormuudhaan akkana jedhee gara Yehuu gara ilma Hanaanii dhufe:
Forsothe the word of the Lord was maad to Hieu, sone of Anany, ayens Baasa, and seide,
2 “Ani awwaara keessaa si kaaseen bulchaa saba koo Israaʼel si godhe; ati garuu karaa Yerobiʼaam deemtee saba koo Israaʼelin cubbuu hojjechiiftee akka isaan cubbuu isaaniitiin dheekkamsaaf na kakaasan goote.
For that that Y reiside thee fro dust, and settide thee duyk on Israel, my puple; sotheli thou yedist in the weie of Jeroboam, and madist my puple Israel to do synne, that thou schuldist terre me to ire, in the synnes of hem; lo!
3 Kanaafuu ani Baʼishaanii fi mana isaa nan barbadeessa; mana kee illee akkuma mana Yerobiʼaam ilma Nebaat sanaa nan godha.
Y schal kitte awey the hyndrere thingis of Baasa, and the hyndrere thingis of `his hows, and Y schal make thin hows as the hows of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath.
4 Namoota Baʼishaan kanneen magaalaa keessatti dhuman sareetu nyaata; kanneen baadiyyaatti dhuman immoo allaattii samiitu nyaata.”
Doggis schulen ete that man of Baasa, that schal be deed in citee, and briddis of the eyr schulen ete that man of Baasa, that schal die in the feeld.
5 Wantoonni biraa kanneen bara mootummaa Baʼishaan keessa hojjetaman, wanni inni hojjetee fi jabinni isaa kitaaba seenaa mootota Israaʼel keessatti barreeffamaniiru mitii?
Sotheli the residue of wordis of Baasa, and what euer thingis he dide, and hise batels, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kynges of Israel?
6 Baʼishaan abbootii ofii wajjin boqotee Tiirzaa keessatti awwaalame. Ilmi isaa Eelaan iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
Therfor Baasa slepte with hise fadris, and he was biried in Thersa; and Hela, his sone, regnede for hym.
7 Sababii inni akkuma mana Yerobiʼaam taʼuudhaan hojii harka isaatiin Waaqa dheekkamsaaf kakaasee Yerobiʼaaminis ajjeesuudhaan hammina fuula Waaqayyoo duratti hojjete hundaaf dubbiin Waaqayyoo karaa Yehuu raajichaa ilma Hanaaniin gara Baʼishaanii fi mana isaa dhufe.
Forsothe whanne the word of the Lord was maad in the hond of Hieu, sone of Anany, ayens Baasa, and ayens his hows, and ayens al yuel which he dide bifor the Lord, to terre hym to ire in the werkis of hise hondis, that he schulde be as the hows of Jeroboam, for this cause he killide hym, that is, Hieu, the prophete, the sone of Anany.
8 Bara Aasaan mootichi Yihuudaa mootii taʼe keessa waggaa digdamii jaʼaffaatti Eelaan ilmi Baʼishaan Tiirzaa keessatti mootii Israaʼel taʼee waggaa lama bulche.
In the sixe and twentithe yeer of Aza, kyng of Juda, Hela, the sone of Baasa, regnyde on Israel, in Thersa, twei yeer.
9 Garuu qondaaltota isaa keessaa namichi Zimrii jedhamu kan gaariiwwan isaa keessaa walakkaa ajaju tokko isatti malate. Yeroo sanatti Eelaan Tiirzaa keessatti mana Arzaa namicha bulchaa masaraa mootummaa kan Tiirzaa keessaa sanaatti dhugee machaaʼaa ture.
And Zamry, `his seruaunt, duyk of the half part of knyytis, rebellide ayens hym; sotheli Hela was in Thersa, and drank, and was drunkun in the hows of Arsa, prefect of Thersa.
10 Zimriinis bara mootummaa Aasaa mooticha Yihuudaa keessaa waggaa digdamii torbaffaatti ol seenee Eelaa dhaʼee ajjeese. Iddoo isaas buʼee mootii taʼe.
Therfor Zamri felde in, and smoot, and killide hym, in the seuene and twentithe yeer of Asa, kyng of Juda; and regnede for hym.
11 Innis akkuma mootii taʼee teessoo irra taaʼeen maatii Baʼishaan hunda fixe. Fira isaa yookaan michuu isaa keessaa dhiira tokko illee hin hambifneef.
And whanne he hadde regned, and hadde setun on his trone, he smoot al the hows of Baasa, and he lefte not therof a pissere to the wal, and hise kynnesmen, and frendis.
12 Akkasiin Zimriin akkuma dubbii Waaqayyoo kan Baʼishaaniin mormuudhaan karaa Yehuu raajichaatiin dubbatame sanaatti maatii Baʼishaan hunda barbadeesse;
And Zamri dide awey al the hows of Baasa, bi the word of the Lord, which he spak to Baasa, in the hond of Hieu, the prophete, for alle the synnes of Baasa,
13 kunis sababii cubbuu Baʼishaanii fi ilmi isaa Eelaan hojjetanii akka Israaʼeloonnis hojjetan gochuudhaan waaqota isaanii tolfamoo kanneen faayidaa hin qabneen Waaqayyo Waaqa Israaʼel dheekkamsaaf kakaasaniif taʼe.
and for the synnes of Hela, his sone, whiche synneden, and maden Israel to do synne, and wraththiden the Lord God of Israel in her vanytees.
14 Wantoonni bara mootummaa Eelaa keessa hojjetaman kanneen biraatii fi wanni inni hojjete hundi kitaaba seenaa mootota Israaʼel keessatti barreeffamaniiru mitii?
Sotheli the residue of the wordis of Hela, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
15 Zimriin bara mootummaa Aasaa mooticha Yihuudaa keessa waggaa digdamii torbaffaatti Tiirzaa keessatti mootii taʼee bultii torba bulche. Loltoonnis Gibetoon magaalaa Filisxeemotaa bira qubatan.
In the seuene and twentithe yeer of Aza, kyng of Juda, Zamri regnede seuene daies in Tharsa; forsothe the oost bisegide Gebethon, the citee of Philisteis.
16 Israaʼeloonni qubata keessa turanis yommuu akka Zimriin mootichatti kaʼee isa ajjeese dhagaʼanitti gaafasuma qubata sana keessatti Omrii ajajaa loltootaa sana mootii Israaʼel taasisan.
And whanne it hadde herd, that Zamri hadde rebellid, and hadde slayn the kyng, al Israel made Amry kyng to hem, that was prince of the chyualrye, on Israel, in that dai, in `the castels.
17 Omrii fi Israaʼeloonni isa wajjin turan hundi Gibetoon keessaa baʼanii Tiirzaa marsan.
Therfor Amry stiede, and al Israel with hym, fro Gebethon, and bisegide Thersa.
18 Zimriinis yommuu akka magaalaan sun qabame argetti dallaa masaraa mootummaa seenee masaraa mootummaa of irratti gubee duʼe.
Sothely Zamri siy, that the citee schulde be ouercomun, and he entride in to the palis, and brente hym silf with the kyngis hows;
19 Wanni kunis sababii inni fuula Waaqayyoo duratti hammina hojjechuu fi karaa Yerobiʼaam irra deemuudhaan cubbuu Yerobiʼaam hojjetee Israaʼelootas hojjechiise sana hojjeteef taʼe.
and he was deed in hise synnes whiche he synnede, doynge yuel bifor the Lord, and goynge in the weie of Jeroboam, and in hise synnes, bi whiche he made Israel to do synne.
20 Wantoonni Zimriin bara mootummaa isaa keessa hojjete biraatii fi fincilli inni kaase kitaaba seenaa mootota Israaʼel keessatti barreeffamaniiru mitii?
Sotheli the residue of wordis of Zamri, and of his tresouns, and tyrauntrie, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
21 Ergasii sabni Israaʼel garee lamatti qoodame; gareen tokko Tiibnii ilma Giinat mootii godhachuuf isa duukaa buʼe; gareen kaan immoo Omrii duukaa buʼe.

22 Garuu duukaa buutonni Omrii duuka buutota Tiibnii ilma Giinat sana caalaa jabaatan. Kanaafuu Taamniin duʼee Omriin mootii taʼe.

23 Omriinis bara mootummaa Aasaa mooticha Yihuudaa keessa waggaa soddomii tokkoffaatti mootii Israaʼel taʼee waggaa kudha lama bulche; waggoota kanneen keessaa waggaa jaʼa Tiirzaa keessa taaʼee bulche.
In the oon and thrittithe yeer of Aza, kyng of Juda, Amri regnede on Israel, twelue yeer; in Thersa he regnede sixe yeer.
24 Innis namicha Shemeer jedhamu irraa meetii taalaantii lamaan gaara Samaariyaa bitee magaalaa tokko gaara sana irratti ijaare; magaalaa sanas Samaariyaa jedhee maqaa Saamir abbaa gaara sanaa kan duriitiin moggaase.
And he bouyte of Soomeer, for twei talentis of siluer, the hil of Samarie, and `bildide that hil; and he clepide the name of the citee, which he hadde bildid, bi the name of Soomer, lord of the hil of Samarie.
25 Omriin garuu fuula Waaqayyoo duratti hammina hojjetee namoota isa duraan turan hunda caalaa cubbame.
Forsothe Amry dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, and wrouyte weiwardli, ouer alle men that weren bifor hym.
26 Innis karaa Yerobiʼaam ilma Nebaat hunda irra deemee cubbuu Yerobiʼaam hojjetee saba Israaʼelis hojjechiisee akka isaan waaqota isaanii tolfamoo kanneen faayidaa hin qabneen Waaqayyoon Waaqa Israaʼel aariif kakaasan godhe.
And he yede in al the weie of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, and in hise synnes, bi whiche he made Israel to do synne, that he schulde terre to ire, in his vanytees, the Lord God of Israel.
27 Wantoonni bara mootummaa Omrii keessa hojjetaman kaan, wanni inni hojjetee fi jabinni inni argisiise kitaaba seenaa mootota Israaʼel keessatti barreeffamaniiru mitii?
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amry, and hise batels, which he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
28 Omriin abbootii ofii isaa wajjin boqotee Samaariyaatti awwaalame. Ahaab ilmi isaa iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Amry slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in Samarie; and Achab, his sone, regnede for hym.
29 Ahaab ilmi Omrii bara mootummaa Aasaa mooticha Yihuudaa keessa waggaa soddomii saddeettaffaatti mootii Israaʼel taʼee Samaariyaa taaʼee waggaa digdamii lama bulche.
Forsothe Achab, the sone of Amry, regnede on Israel, in the `eiyte and thrittithe yeer of Asa, kyng of Juda; and Achab, sone of Amry, regnede on Israel, in Samarie, two and twenti yeer.
30 Ahaab ilmi Omrii warra isa duraan turan kam iyyuu caalaa fuula Waaqayyoo duratti hammina hojjete.
And Achab, sone of Amry, dide yuel in the siyte of the Lord, ouer alle men that weren bifor hym;
31 Innis cubbuu Yerobiʼaam ilmi Nebaat hojjete sana hojjechuu akka waan salphaa tokkootti ilaaluu bira darbee Iizaabel intala Etebaʼaal mooticha Siidoonotaa fuudhe; dhaqees Baʼaalin tajaajiluu fi waaqeffachuu jalqabe.
and it suffiside not to hym that he yede in the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, ferthermore and he weddide a wijf, Jezabel, the douyter of Methaal, kyng of Sydoneis; and he yede, and seruyde Baal, and worschipide hym.
32 Innis mana Baʼaal itti waaqeffatamu tokko Samaariyaatti ijaaree iddoo aarsaa tokko achi keessa dhaabe.
And he settide an auter to Baal in the temple of Baal, which he hadde bildid in Samarie, and he plauntide a wode;
33 Ahaab ammas siidaa Aasheeraa dhaabee waan mootonni Israaʼel kanneen isa duraan turan hundi hojjetan caalaa hojjetee Waaqayyoon Waaqa Israaʼel aariif kakaase.
and Achab addide in his werk, and terride to ire the Lord God of Israel, more thanne alle kyngis of Israel that weren bifor hym.
34 Bara Ahaab keessa Hiiʼeel namichi Beetʼeel tokko Yerikoo deebisee ijaare. Akkuma dubbii Waaqayyoo kan karaa Iyyaasuu ilma Nuunitiin dubbatame sanaatti gaafa inni hundeewwan Yerikoo buusetti Abiiraam ilma isaa hangafatu duʼe; gaafa inni karrawwan isaa dhaabetti immoo Seguub ilma isaa quxisuu hundaatu duʼe.
Forsothe in hise daies Ahiel of Bethel bildide Jerico; in Abiram, his firste sone, he foundide it, in Segub, his laste sone, he settide yatis therof, bi the word of the Lord, which he hadde spoke in the hond of Josue, sone of Nun.
