1 Yohannis 4
1 Yaa michoota, hafuuronni kan Waaqaa taʼuu fi taʼuu baachuu isaanii ilaaluuf qoradhaa malee hafuurota hunda hin amaninaa; raajonni sobduun hedduun addunyaa seenaniiru.
Moost dere britheren, nyle ye bileue to ech spirit, but preue ye spiritis, if thei ben of God; for many false prophetis wenten out in to the world.
2 Haalli isin ittiin Hafuura Waaqaa beektanis kanuma: Hafuurri akka Yesuus Kiristoos fooniin dhufe dhugaa baʼu hundi kan Waaqaa ti;
In this thing the spirit of God is knowun; ech spirit that knowlechith that Jhesu Crist hath come in fleisch, is of God;
3 hafuurri akka Yesuus Kiristoos fooniin dhufe dhugaa hin baane hundi kan Waaqaa miti. Inni hafuura farra Kiristoos, kan isin akka inni dhufu dhageessan sanaa ti; innis ammuma iyyuu addunyaa keessa jira.
and ech spirit that fordoith Jhesu, is not of God. And this is antecrist, of whom ye herden, that he cometh; and riyt now he is in the world.
4 Yaa ijoolle, isin kan Waaqaa ti; jaras moʼattaniirtu; inni isin keessa jiru kan addunyaa keessa jiru sana caalaa guddaadhaatii.
Ye, litle sones, ben of God, and ye han ouercome hym; for he that is in you is more, than he that is in the world.
5 Isaan kan addunyaa ti; kanaaf wanni isaan dubbatanis kanuma addunyaa ti; addunyaanis isaan dhaggeeffata.
Thei ben of the world, therfor thei speken of the world, and the world herith hem.
6 Nu kan Waaqaa ti; namni Waaqa beeku hundinuus nu dhaggeeffata; namni kan Waaqaa hin taʼin garuu nu hin dhaggeeffatu. Kanaanis Hafuura dhugaatii fi hafuura sobaa addaan baafnee ni beekna.
We ben of God; he that knowith God, herith vs; he that is not of God, herith not vs. In this thing we knowen the spirit of treuthe, and the spirit of errour.
7 Yaa michoota, jaalalli kan Waaqaa waan taʼeef kottaa wal jaallannaa. Namni jaallatu hundi Waaqa irraa dhalate; Waaqas ni beeka.
Moost dere britheren, loue we togidere, for charite is of God; and ech that loueth his brother, is borun of God, and knowith God.
8 Sababii Waaqni jaalala taʼeef, namni hin jaallanne hundi Waaqa hin beeku.
He that loueth not, knowith not God; for God is charite.
9 Waaqni akka nu karaa isaatiin jireenya argannuuf jedhee Ilma isaa tokkicha sana gara addunyaatti erge. Kanaanis jaalalli Waaqaa nu gidduutti mulʼateera.
In this thing the charite of God apperide in vs, for God sente hise oon bigetun sone in to the world, that we lyue bi hym.
10 Jaalalli isa kana: Kunis nu Waaqa jaallannee miti; garuu Waaqatu nu jaallatee akka inni aarsaa cubbuu keenyaaf araara buusu taʼuuf Ilma isaa erge.
In this thing is charite, not as we hadden loued God, but for he firste louede vs, and sente hise sone foryyuenesse for oure synnes.
11 Yaa michoota, erga Waaqni akkana nu jaallatee nus wal jaallachuu qabna.
Ye moost dere britheren, if God louede vs, we owen to loue ech other.
12 Namni tokko iyyuu takkumaa Waaqa hin argine; yoo wal jaallanne garuu Waaqni nu keessa jiraata; jaalalli isaas nu keessatti guutuu taʼa.
No man say euer God; if we louen togidre, God dwellith in vs, and the charite of hym is perfit in vs.
13 Inni waan Hafuura isaa irraa nuu kenneef nu akka isa keessa jiraannuu fi akka innis nu keessa jiraatu kanaan ni beekna.
In this thing we knowen, that we dwellen in hym, and he in vs; for of his spirit he yaf to vs.
14 Akka inni Fayyisaa addunyaa taʼuuf jedhee Abbaan Ilma isaa akka erge argineerra; dhugaa baanas.
And we sayen, and witnessen, that the fadir sente his sone sauyour of the world.
15 Yoo namni kam iyyuu Yesuus Ilma Waaqaa akka taʼe dhugaa baʼe, Waaqni isa keessa jiraata; innis Waaqa keessa jiraata.
Who euer knowlechith, that Jhesu is the sone of God, God dwellith in him, and he in God.
16 Kanaafuu jaalala Waaqni nuuf qabu beekneerra; amanneerras. Waaqni jaalala. Namni jaalalaan jiraatu Waaqa keessa jiraata; Waaqnis isa keessa jiraata.
And we han knowun, and bileuen to the charite, that God hath in vs. God is charite, and he that dwellith in charite, dwellith in God, and God in hym.
17 Nus akka guyyaa murtiitti ija jabina qabaannuuf karaa kanaan jaalalli nu gidduutti guutuu taʼeera; nu addunyaa kana irratti Yesuusin fakkaannaatii.
In this thing is the perfit charite of God with vs, that we haue trist in the dai of dom; for as he is, also we ben in this world.
18 Jaalala keessa sodaan hin jiru. Sodaan waan adabbii wajjin wal qabatee jiruuf jaalalli mudaa hin qabne sodaa of keessaa baasee gata. Namni sodaatu tokko jaalalli isaa guutuu miti.
Drede is not in charite, but perfit charite puttith out drede; for drede hath peyne. But he that dredith, is not perfit in charite.
19 Nu sababii inni duraan dursee nu jaallateef isa jaallanna.
Therfor loue we God, for he louede vs bifore.
20 Namni, “Ani Waaqa nan jaalladha” jechaa obboleessa isaa immoo jibbu kam iyyuu sobduu dha. Namni obboleessa isaa kan arge sana hin jaallanne kam iyyuu Waaqa hin argin sana jaallachuu hin dandaʼu.
If ony man seith, that `Y loue God, and hatith his brother, he is a liere. For he that loueth not his brothir, which he seeth, hou mai he loue God, whom he seeth not?
21 Inni ajaja kana nuu kenneera: Namni Waaqa jaallatu kam iyyuu obboleessa ofii isaa jaallachuu qaba.
And we han this comaundement of God, that he that loueth God, loue also his brothir.
