1 Yaa obboloota, akka abbootiin keenya hundi duumessa jala turan, akka hundi isaaniis galaana keessa darban akka isin utuu hin beekin haftan ani hin barbaadu.
Britheren, Y nyle, that ye vnknowe, that alle oure fadris weren vndur cloude, and alle passiden the see;
2 Hundi isaaniis kan Musee taʼuuf duumessaa fi galaanaan cuuphaman.
and alle weren baptisid in Moises, in the cloude and in the see;
3 Hundi isaaniis nyaata hafuuraa tokkicha nyaatan.
and alle eeten the same spiritual mete,
4 Hundi isaaniis dhugaatii hafuuraa tokkicha dhugan. Isaan kattaa hafuuraa isa isaan wajjin deemaa ture irraa dhuganiiruutii; kattaan sunis Kiristoos ture.
and alle drunken the same spiritual drynke; thei drunken of the spiritual stoon folewynge hem; and the stoon was Crist.
5 Taʼu iyyuu waan Waaqni hedduu isaaniitti hin gammadiniif isaan lafa gammoojjii keessatti dhuman.
But not in ful manye of hem it was wel pleasaunt to God; for whi thei weren cast doun in desert.
6 Wantoonni kunneen akka nu akkuma isaanii waan hamaa hin hawwineef fakkeenya nuu taʼan.
But these thingis ben don in figure of vs, that we be not coueyteris of yuele thingis, as thei coueitiden.
7 Akka isaan keessaa namoonni tokko tokko godhan sana isin waaqota tolfamoo hin waaqeffatinaa; kunis akkuma, “Namoonni nyaachuu fi dhuguuf tataaʼan; sirbuufis kaʼan” jedhamee barreeffamee dha.
Nether be ye maad idolatreris, as summe of hem; as it is writun, The puple sat to ete and drynke, and thei risen vp to pleie.
8 Akka isaan keessaa namoonni tokko tokko halalummaa raawwatanii guyyaa tokkotti namoonni 23,000 dhuman sana, nu halalummaa raawwachuu hin qabnu.
Nether do we fornycacioun, as summe of hem diden fornicacioun, and thre and twenti thousyndis weren deed in o dai.
9 Akka isaan keessaa tokko tokko Gooftaa qoranii bofaan ajjeefaman sana nu Gooftaa qoruu hin qabnu.
Nethir tempte we Crist, as summe of hem temptiden, and perischiden of serpentis.
10 Isin akka isaan keessaa tokko tokko guungumanii isa nama balleessuun balleeffaman sana hin guunguminaa.
Nether grutche ye, as summe of hem grutchiden, and thei perischiden of a distrier.
11 Kun hundi akka fakkeenya taʼuuf isaan irratti raawwatame; nuu warra dhumni baraa itti dhufeef immoo akka of eeggannaa taʼuuf barreeffame. (aiōn g165)
And alle these thingis felliden to hem in figure; but thei ben writun to oure amendyng, in to whiche the endis of the worldis ben comun. (aiōn g165)
12 Kanaafuu namni waan dhaabate of seʼu akka hin kufneef of haa eeggatu.
Therfor he that gessith hym, `that he stondith, se he, that he falle not.
13 Qorama nama irra gaʼu malee qoramni tokko iyyuu isinitti hin dhufne. Waaqnis amanamaa dha; inni akka isin waan baachuu hin dandeenyeen qoramtan isin hin godhu. Yommuu qoramtanitti garuu inni akka isin obsuu dandeessaniif karaa ittiin keessaa baatan isiniif qopheessa.
Temptacioun take `not you, but mannus temptacioun; for God is trewe, which schal not suffre you to be temptid aboue that that ye moun; but he schal make with temptacioun also purueyaunce, that ye moun suffre.
14 Kanaafuu yaa michoota ko, isin waaqota tolfamoo waaqeffachuu irraa baqadhaa.
Wherfor, ye most dereworthe to me, fle ye fro worschiping of maumetis.
15 Ani namoota hubannaa qabanittin dubbadha; waan ani dubbadhu isinuu murteessaa.
As to prudent men Y speke, deme ye you silf that thing that Y seie.
16 Xoofoon eebbaa kan nu eebbifnu sun dhiiga Kiristoos wajjin tokkummaa qaba mitii? Buddeenni nu caccabsinu sunis foon Kiristoos wajjin tokkummaa qaba mitii?
Whether the cuppe of blessyng which we blessen, is not the comynyng of Cristis blood? and whether the breed which we breken, is not the takyng of the bodi of the Lord?
17 Waan buddeenni tokko qofti jiruuf, nu baayʼee taanu iyyuu dhagnuma tokko; hundi keenya buddeenuma tokkicha sana irraa hirmaannaatii.
For we manye ben o breed and o bodi, alle we that taken part of o breed and of o cuppe.
18 Mee saba Israaʼel ilaalaa: Warri aarsaa irraa nyaatan sun iddoo aarsaa irraa qooda qabu mitii?
Se ye Israel aftir the fleisch, whethir thei that eeten sacrifices, ben not partyneris of the auter?
19 Egaa maal jechuu koo ti? Nyaanni waaqota tolfamoof aarsaa dhiʼeeffamu wayi moo ree yookaan Waaqni tolfamaan wayi moo ree jechuu kootii?
What therfor seie Y, that a thing that is offrid to idols is ony thing, or that the idol is ony thing?
20 Akkas miti; aarsaan namoonni ormaa dhiʼeessan hafuurota hamoodhaaf malee Waaqaaf miti; ani akka isin hafuurota hamoo wajjin tokkummaa qabaattan hin barbaadu.
But tho thingis that hethene men offren, thei offren to deuelis, and not to God. But Y nyle, that ye ben maad felowis of feendis; for ye moun not drynke the cuppe of the Lord, and the cuppe of fendis;
21 Isin xoofoo Gooftaatii fi xoofoo hafuurota hamoo dhuguu hin dandeessan; maaddii Gooftaatii fi maaddii hafuurota hamoo irrattis hirmaachuu hin dandeessan.
ye moun not be parteneris of the boord of the Lord, and of the bord of feendis.
22 Nu Gooftaa hinaaffaaf kakaafnaa? Nu isa caalaas jabaannaa?
Whether we han enuye to the Lord? whether we ben strengere then he? Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but not alle thingis ben spedeful.
23 “Wanni hundinuu anaaf eeyyamamaa dha;” kan faayidaa qabu garuu waan hunda miti. “Wanni hundinuu anaaf eeyyamamaa dha;” kan nama fayyadu garuu waan hunda miti.
Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but not alle thingis edifien.
24 Namni tokko iyyuu waan warra kaaniif gaarii taʼe barbaaduu qaba malee waan ofii isaatiif gaarii taʼe barbaaduu hin qabu.
No man seke that thing that is his owne, but that thing that is of an othere.
25 Utuu gaaffii qalbii keessaa tokko illee hin kaasin waan gabaa fooniitti gurguramu kam iyyuu nyaadhaa;
Al thing that is seld in the bocherie, ete ye, axynge no thing for conscience.
26 “Laftii fi wanni lafa irra jiru hundinuu kan Gooftaatii.”
The erthe and the plente of it is, the Lordis.
27 Warra hin amanin keessaa yoo namni tokko nyaataaf isin affeere, isinis yoo dhaquu barbaaddan dhaqaa; utuu gaaffii qalbii keessaa tokko illee hin kaasin waan isin duratti dhiʼeeffame kam iyyuu nyaadhaa.
If ony of hethene men clepith you to soper, and ye wole go, al thing that is set to you, ete ye, axynge no thing for conscience.
28 Garuu yoo namni tokko, “Kun waaqota tolfamoodhaaf dhiʼeeffame” isiniin jedhe, sababii namicha isinitti hime sanaatii fi sababii qalbiitiif waan sana hin nyaatinaa.
But if ony man seith, This thing is offrid to idols, nyle ye ete, for hym that schewide, and for conscience; and Y seie not,
29 Kanas qalbii namicha sanaati malee kan keeti jechuu koo miti. Maaliif qalbii nama biraatiin bilisummaa kootti murama ree?
thi conscience, but of an othere. But wherto is my fredom demed of an othere mannus conscience?
30 Ani ergan galateeffachuudhaan nyaata sana irratti hirmaadhee maaliifan waan ittiin Waaqa galateeffadhuun balaaleffatama ree?
Therfor if Y take part with grace, what am Y blasfemed, for that that Y do thankyngis?
31 Kanaafuu yoo nyaattan yookaan yoo dhugdan yookaan yoo waanuma fedhe illee hojjettan waan hunda ulfina Waaqaatiif hojjedhaa.
Therfor whether ye eten, or drynken, or don ony other thing, do ye alle thingis `in to the glorie of God.
32 Yihuudoota yookaan Giriikota yookaan waldaa kiristaanaa kan Waaqaa hin gufachiisinaa;
Be ye with outen sclaundre to Jewis, and to hethene men, and to the chirche of God;
33 kunis akkuma ani nama hunda karaa hundaan gammachiisuuf yaalii godhutti jechuu dha. Ani akka isaan fayyaniif buʼaa namoota baayʼeetiif malee buʼaa kootiif jedhee waan kana hin godhu.
as Y bi alle thingis plese to alle men, not sekynge that that is profitable to me, but that that is profitable to manye men, that thei be maad saaf.
