The sons of Japheth, Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech and Tiras.

8 Ilmaan Haam: Kuushi, Misrayim, Fuuxii fi Kanaʼaan turan.
The sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Ilmaan Kuushi: Saabaa, Hawiilaa, Sabtaa, Raʼimaa fi Sabtekaa turan. Ilmaan Raʼimaa: Shebaa fi Dedaan turan.
And, the sons of Cush, Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And, the sons of Raamah, Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Kuushi abbaa Naamruud; Naamruudis lafa irratti loltuu jabaa taʼe.
And, Cush, begat Nimrod, —he, began to be a mighty one in the earth.
11 Misrayim immoo abbaa Luudiimootaa, Anaamiimotaa, Lehaabiimotaa, Naftahiimootaa,
And, Mizraim, begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
12 Fatrusiimotaa, Kaseluhiimotaa jechuunis warra Filisxeemonni irraa dhalatanii fi Kaftooriimotaa ti.
and Pathrusim, and Casluhim—whence went forth the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
13 Kanaʼaan abbaa Siidoon ilma isaa hangaftichaa akkasumas kan Heetotaa,
And, Canaan, begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;
14 Yebuusotaa, Amoorotaa, Girgaashotaa,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
15 Hiiwotaa, Arkaawotaa, Siinotaa,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;

And, Arpachshad, begat Shelah, —and, Shelah, begat Eber.
19 Eeberiifis ilmaan lamatu dhalate: Sababii bara isaa keessa lafti gargar qoodamteef, maqaan isa tokkoo Felegi jedhamee moggaafame; maqaan obboleessa isaa immoo Yooqxaan jedhamee moggaafame.
And, unto Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one, was Peleg, for, in his days, was the earth divided, and, the name of his brother, was Joktan.
20 Yooqxaan immoo Almoodaad, Sheleef, Hazarmaawet, Yaaraa,
And, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, —and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
21 Hadooraam, Uuzaal, Diqlaa,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
22 Eebaal, Abiimaaʼeel, Shebaa,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;
23 Oofiir, Hawiilaa fi Yoobaabin dhalche. Warri kunneen hundinuu ilmaan Yooqxaanii ti.
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these, were the sons of Joktan.
24 Seem, Arfaakshadi, Sheelaa,
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;
25 Eeberi, Felegi, Reʼuu,
Eber, Peleg, Reu;
26 Seruugi, Naahoor, Taaraa,
Serug, Nahor, Terah;
27 akkasumas Abraam kan Abrahaam jedhame sanaa dha.
Abram—the same, is Abraham.
28 Ilmaan Abrahaam: Yisihaaqii fi Ishmaaʼeel.
The sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael.
29 Sanyiiwwan isaanii warra kanneenii dha: Nabaayooti ilma Ishmaaʼeel hangafticha, Qeedaar, Adbiʼeel, Mibsaami,
These, are their generations, —the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
30 Mishmaa, Duumaa, Maasaa, Hadaad, Teemaa,
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
31 Yexuur, Naafiishii fi Qeedmaa. Isaan kunneen ilmaan Ishmaaʼeel.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These, are the sons of Ishmael.
32 Ilmaan Qexuuraan saajjatoon Abrahaam sun deesse: Zimraan, Yoqshaan, Medaan, Midiyaan, Yishbaaqii fi Shuwaa. Ilmaan Yokshaan: Shebaa fi Dedaan.
And, the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham, she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah, —and, the sons of Jokshan, Sheba, and Dedan;
33 Ilmaan Midiyaan: Eefaa, Eefer, Henook, Abiidaa fi Eldaaʼaa. Warri kunneen hundi sanyiiwwan Qexuuraa ti.
and, the sons of Midian, Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these, were the sons of Keturah.
34 Abrahaam abbaa Yisihaaq. Ilmaan Yisihaaq: Esaawuu fi Israaʼel.
So then Abraham begat Isaac, —the sons of Isaac, were Esau and Israel.
35 Ilmaan Esaawu: Eliifaaz, Reʼuuʼeel, Yeʼuushi, Yaʼilaamii fi Qooraahi.
the sons of Esau, Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
36 Ilmaan Eliifaaz: Teemaan, Oomaar, Zefoo, Gaataamii fi Qenaz; karaa Tiimnaatiin: Amaaleq.
The sons of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Ilmaan Reʼuuʼeel: Nahaati, Zeraa, Shamaa fi Miizaah.
The sons of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Ilmaan Seeʼiir: Looxaan, Sobaal, Zibeʼoon, Aannaa, Diishoon, Eezerii fi Diishaan.
And, the sons of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, —and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Ilmaan Looxaan: Hoorii fi Hoomaam, Tiimnaa obboleettii Looxaan.
And, the sons of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, —and, Lotan’s sister, was Timna.
40 Ilmaan Sobaal: Aliwaan, Maanahaat, Eebaal, Shefoo fi Oonaami. Ilmaan Zibeʼoon: Ayyaa fi Aannaa.
The sons of Shobal, Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And, the sons of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
41 Ilmi Aannaa: Diishoon. Ilmaan Diishoon: Hemdaan, Eshbaan, Yitraanii fi Keraan.
The sons of Anah, Dishon, —and, the sons of Dishon, Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Ilmaan Eezeri: Bilhaan, Zaawaanii fi Aqaan. Ilmaan Diishaan: Uuzii fi Araan.
The sons of Ezer, Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan, Uz and Aran.
43 Mootonni utuu mootiin Israaʼel tokko iyyuu hin moʼin dura Edoom keessatti moʼan kanneen turan: Belaa ilma Beʼoor kan magaalaan isaa Diinhaabaa jedhamee moggaafame sana.
Now, these, are the kings, who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned a king of the sons of Israel, —Bela the son of Beor, and, the name of his city, was Dinhabah.
44 Belaa duunaan Yoobaab ilmi Zeraa namichi Bozraa iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Bela died, —and there reigned in his stead, Jobab son of Zerah, of Bozrah.
45 Yoobaab duunaan Hushaam namichi biyya Teemaan iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Jobab died, —and there reigned in his stead, Husham, of the land of the Temanites.
46 Hushaam duunaan Hadaad ilmi Bedad inni biyya Moʼaabitti Midiyaanin moʼate sun iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe. Maqaan magaalaa isaa Aawiit jedhame.
And Husham died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.
47 Hadaad duunaan Samlaan namichi Masreeqaa iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Hadad died, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah of Masrekah.
48 Samlaan duunaan Shaawul namichi biyya Rehoobooti ishee laga bira jirtu sanaa iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Samlah died, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, of Rehoboth by the River.
49 Shaawul duunaan Baʼaal-Haanaan ilmi Akboor iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.
And Shaul died, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor.
50 Baʼaal-Haanaan duunaan immoo Hadaad iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe. Magaalaan isaas Faaʼuu jedhame. Maqaan niitii isaa immoo Maheexabiʼeel jedhama ture; isheenis intala Maxreed, intala Mee-Zaahaab turte.
And Baal-hanan died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, and, the name of his city, was Pai, —and, the name of his wife, was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
51 Hadaadis ni duʼe. Hangafoota saba Edoom: Tiimnaa, Aalwaa, Yeteeti,
And Hadad died. And there were chiefs of Edom: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth;
52 Oholiibaamaa, Eelaa, Phiinoon,
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;
53 Qenaz, Teemaan, Mibzaar,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;
54 Magidiiʼeelii fi Iiraam. Namoonni kunneen hangafoota Edoom turan.
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, were the chiefs of Edom.
