1 Ilmaan Yihuudaa: Faares, Hezroon, Karmii, Huurii fi Sobaal.
The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Reʼaayaan ilmi Sobaal abbaa Yahaatiiti; Yahaati immoo abbaa Ahuumaayii fi Laahadii ti. Isaan kunneen balbalawwan Zoraatotaa ti.
And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
3 Ilmaan Eexaam kanneenii dha: Yizriʼeel, Yishmaa fi Yidbaashi. Obboleettiin isaanii immoo Hazelelphoonii jedhamti.
And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
4 Phenuuʼeel abbaa Gedoor; Eezer immoo abbaa Huushaam. Isaan kunneen sanyii Huuri ilma Efraataa hangaftichaatii fi abbaa Beetlihem sanaa ti.
And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
5 Ashihuur abbaan Teqooʼaa niitota lama kanneen Heelaa fi Naʼaraa jedhaman qaba ture.
But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
6 Naʼaraan ilmaan Ahuzaam, Heefer, Teemenii fi Haaʼahashitaar jedhaman deesseef. Ilmaan Naʼaraa isaan kanneen turan.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
7 Ilmaan Heelaa: Zeret, Zooharii fi Etnaan;
And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
8 Qoosi abbaa Anuub, abbaa Hazobeebaa fi abbaa balbalawwan Ahariheel ilma Haaruumiti.
Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
9 Yaabeex nama obboloota isaa caalaa ulfina qabu ture; haatii isaa, “Ani dhiphinaanan isa daʼe” jettee Yaabeex jettee isa moggaafte.
But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
10 Yaabeex immoo akkana jedhee Waaqa Israaʼelitti iyyate; “Ati na eebbisi; biyya koos naaf balʼisi! Akka ani hin miidhamnee fi akka ani dhiphina jalaa baʼuuf harki kee na wajjin haa jiraatu.” Waaqnis waan inni kadhate sana ni kenneef.
And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
11 Kiluub obboleessi Shuhaa abbaa Mihiirii ti; Mehiir immoo abbaa Eshitooniti.
And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
12 Eshitoonis abbaa Beet Raafaan, abbaa Faasehaa fi Tehiinaa ti; Tahiinaan immoo abbaa Iir Naahaashii ti. Isaan kunneen namoota Reekaa ti.
And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
13 Ilmaan Qenaz: Otniiʼeelii fi Seraayaa. Ilmaan Otniiʼeel: Hataatii fi Maʼoonotaayi.
And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
14 Meʼoonotaayi abbaa Ofraa ti. Seraayaan abbaa Yooʼaabii ti; Yooʼaab immoo abbaa Gee Haraashiimii ti. Maqaan kun sababii isaan ogummaa hojii harkaa qabaniif kennameef.
And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
15 Ilmaan Kaaleb ilma Yefunee: Iiruu, Eelaa fi Naʼaam. Ilmi Eelaa: Qenaz.
And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
16 Ilmaan Yehaleliʼeel: Ziifii, Ziifaa, Tiiriyaa fi Asareel.
And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
17 Ilmaan Izraa: Yeteer, Mered, Eeferii fi Yaaloon. Niitota Mered keessaa isheen tokko Miiriyaam, Shamaayii fi Yishibaa abbaa Eshtimoʼaa sana deesse.
And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Niitiin isaa dubartiin Yihuudaa sunis Yaared abbaa Gedoor, Hebeer abbaa Sookooniitii fi Yequutiiʼeel abbaa Zaanoʼaa deesse. Isaan kunneen ijoollee Bitiyaa intala Faraʼoon kan Mered fuudhe sanaa ti.
Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
19 Ilmaan niitiin Hoodiyaa obboleettiin Naham sun deesse: Abbaa Qeyiilaa namicha Garmii sanaatii fi Eshtimoʼaa namicha Maʼakaa ti.
And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
20 Ilmaan Simiʼoon: Amnoon, Riinaa, Ben-Haanaanii fi Tiiloon. Ilmaan Yishiʼii: Zoheetii fi Ben-Zoheetii ti.
And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
21 Ilmaan Sheelaa ilma Yihuudaa: Eer abbaa Leekaa, Laʼadaa abbaa Maareeshaatii fi balbalawwan Beet Ashibeeʼaatti warra wayyaa quncee talbaa haphii hojjetanii.
The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
22 Yooqiim, namoota Koozeebaa, Yooʼaashii fi Saaraaf isa Moʼaabii fi Yaashubiileheem bulchu. Barreeffamni kunneenis kan bara durii ti.
And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
23 Isaanis suphee dhooftuu Nexaayiimii fi Gedeeraa keessa jiraatan turan; jarri kun mootichaaf hojjechaa achi jiraatu ture.
These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
24 Ilmaan Simiʼoon: Nemuuʼeel, Yaamiin, Yaariib, Zeraa fi Shaawul;
The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
25 Shaluum ilma Saaʼuul ture; Mibsaam ilma Shaluumiti; Mishmaa immoo ilma Mabsaamiti.
Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
26 Ilmaan Mishmaa: Ilma isaa Hamuuʼeel, ilma isaa Zakuurii fi ilma isaa Shimeʼii.
And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
27 Shimeʼiin ilmaan kudha jaʼaa fi intallan jaʼa qaba ture; obboloonni isaa garuu ijoollee hedduu hin qaban ture; sababii kanaaf balbalawwan isaanii hundinuu akka gosa Yihuudaa baayʼee hin turre.
And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
28 Isaanis Bersheebaa, Molaadaa, Hazar Shuuʼaal,
And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
29 Bilihaa, Ezem, Toolaad,
And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
30 Betuuʼeel, Hormaa, Siiqlaag,
And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
31 Beet Markaabot, Hazar Susiim, Beet Biirii fi Shaʼarayiim keessa jiraatan. Magaalaawwan kunneen hamma bara mootummaa Daawitiitti magaalaawwan isaanii turan.
And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
32 Akkasumas gandoota Eexaam, Ayin, Reemoon, Tookkenii fi Ashaan jechuunis magaalaa shananii fi
And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
33 gandoota naannoo isaaniitti argaman hunda keessa hamma Baʼaaliitti jiraatu ture. Kunneen iddoo isaan jiraatanii dha. Isaanis galmee hidda dhaloota isaanii kaawwatanii jiran.
And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
34 Meshoobaab, Yamleek, Yooshaa ilma Amasiyaa,
And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
35 Yooʼeel, Yehuu ilma Yooshibiyaa, ilma Seraayaa, ilma Asiiʼeel,
And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
36 akkasumas Eliiyooʼeenayi, Yaaʼiqoobaa, Yashoohayaa, Asaayaa, Aadiiʼeel, Yesiimiʼeel, Benaayaa,
And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 Ziizaa ilma Shiifii, ilma Aloon, ilma Yedaayaa, ilma Shimrii, ilma Shemaaʼiyaa.
And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
38 Namoonni maqaan isaanii kanaa olitti himame kunneen hooggantoota balbala isaanii turan. Baayʼinni maatii isaaniis akka malee dabalaa dhufe;
These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
39 isaanis bushaayee isaaniitiif lafa dheedaa barbaacha hamma moggaa Gedoor kan gama baʼa sululaa jiru sanaatti deeman.
And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
40 Isaanis naannoo sanatti lafa dheedaa gabbataa fi gaarii argatan; lafni sunis balʼaa, kan nagaa fi tasgabbii qabu ture. Bara durii gosoonni Haamii naannoo sana jiraachaa turan.
And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
41 Namoonni maqaan isaanii dhaʼame kunneen bara Hisqiyaas mootii Yihuudaa ture keessa dhufan. Isaan akkuma hamma harʼaatti illee mulʼatu qubata Kaamotaatii fi Meʼuunoota achi jiraachaa turanii dhaʼanii guutumaan guutuutti isaan barbadeessan. Ergasiis sababii lafa dheedaa balʼaa bushaayee isaaniitiif argataniif lafa jaraa irra ni qubatan.
And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
42 Simiʼoonota kanneen keessaa namoonni dhibba shan ilmaan Yishiʼii Phelaatiyaa, Naʼaariyaa, Refaayaa fi Uziiʼeel hoogganamanii biyya gaaraa Seeʼiir weeraran.
And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
43 Isaanis Amaaleqoota miliqanii hafan balleessanii hamma harʼaatti achuma jiraatan.
And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
