1 Lakkoobsi ijoollee Israaʼel hangafoonni maatii isaanii, ajajjuuwwan kumaa, ajajjuuwwan dhibbaatii fi qondaaltonni isaanii warri waan kutaawwan loltootaa kanneen waggaa guutuu jiʼa jiʼaan hojiitti ramadaman sanaa ilaalu hunda irratti mooticha tajaajilan kanaa dha. Tokkoon tokkoon kutaawwan loltootaa kunis nama 24,000 of keessaa qaba ture.
Now the sons of Israel according to their number, heads of families, captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and scribes ministering to the king, and for every affair of the king according to [their] divisions, [for] every ordinance of coming in and going out monthly, for all the months of the year, one division of them [was] twenty-four thousand.
2 Jiʼa jalqabaatiif ajajaan kutaa loltootaa kan duraa Yaashobiʼaam ilma Zabdiiʼeel ture. Kutaa loltoota isaa keessas loltoota 24,000 ture.
And over the first division of the first month [was] Isboaz the son of Zabdiel: in his division [were] twenty-four thousand.
3 Innis sanyii Faaresii fi hangafa ajajjoota kutaa loltoota hundaa kan jiʼa jalqabaa ture.
Of the sons of Tharez [one] was chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.
4 Doodaayi namichi Ahooʼaa ajaja kutaa waraanaa kan jiʼa lammaffaaf ture; Miiqlooti hoogganaa kutaa waraana isaa ture. Kutaan waraana isaas namoota 24,000 of keessaa qaba ture.
And over the division of the second month [was] Dodia the son of Ecchoc, and over his division [was] Makelloth also chief: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand, chief men of the host.
5 Ajajaan kutaa waraanaa sadaffaan kan jiʼa sadaffaa immoo Benaayaa ilma Yehooyaadaa lubichaa ture. Innis hangafa; kutaan waraana isaa namoota 24,000 of keessaa qaba ture.
The third for the third month [was] Banaias the son of Jodae the chief priest: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
6 Benaayaa kun isuma warra soddoma keessaa nama jabaa fi ajajaa warra soddoma sanaa ture sanaa dha. Amiizaabaad ilmi isaa immoo ajajaa kutaa waraana isaa ture.
This Banaeas [was] more mighty than the thirty, and over the thirty: and Zabad his son [was] over his division.
7 Jiʼa afuraffaaf ajajaan kuta afuraffaa Asaaheel obboleessa Yooʼaab ture; kan iddoo isaa buʼe immoo ilma isaa Zebaadiyaa dha. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The fourth for the fourth month [was] Asael the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son, and his brethren: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
8 Jiʼa shanaffaaf ajajaan kutaa shanaffaa Shamhuuti namicha Yizraa ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The fifth chief for the fifth month [was] Samaoth the Jezraite: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
9 Jiʼa jaʼaffaaf Iiraa ilmi Iqeesh namicha Teqooʼaa sanaa ajajaa jaʼaffaa ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The sixth for the sixth month [was] Hoduias the son of Ekkes the Thecoite: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
10 Jiʼa torbaffaaf Heleez namichi Pheloonaa kan gosa Efreem sun ajajaa torbaffaa ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The seventh for the seventh month [was] Chelles of Phallus of the children of Ephraim: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
11 Jiʼa saddeettaffaaf Siibekaay namichi biyya Hushaa kan gosa Zaarotaa ajajaa saddeettaffaa ture; kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The eighth for the eighth month [was] Sobochai the Usathite, [belonging] to Zarai: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
12 Jiʼa saglaffaaf Abiiʼezer namicha Anaatootii kan gosa Beniyaam sanattu ajajaa saglaffaa ture; kutaa isaa keessaa namoota 24,000 turan.
The ninth for the ninth month [was] Abiezer of Anathoth, of the land of Benjamin: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
13 Jiʼa kurnaffaaf Maharaayi namicha Netoof kan gosa Zaaraa sanatu ajajaa kurnaffaa ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The tenth for the tenth month [was] Meera the Netophathite, [belonging] to Zarai: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
14 Jiʼa kudha tokkoffaaf ajajaan kudha tokkoffaan Benaayaa namicha Phiraatoon kan gosa Efreem sana ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The eleventh for the eleventh month [was] Banaias of Pharathon, of the sons of Ephraim: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
15 Jiʼa kudha lammaffaaf ajajaan kudha lammaffaan Heldaayi namicha Netoof kan gosa Otniiʼeel sana ture. Kutaa isaa keessa namoota 24,000 turan.
The twelfth for the twelfth month [was] Choldia the Netophathite, [belonging] to Gothoniel: and in his division [were] twenty and four thousand.
16 Hangafoonni gosoota Israaʼel: Gosa Ruubeen irratti: Eliiʼezer ilma Zikrii; gosa Simiʼoon irratti: Shefaaxiyaa ilma Maʼakaa;
And over the tribes of Israel, the chief for Ruben [was] Eliezer the son of Zechri: for Symeon, Saphatias the son of Maacha:
17 gosa Lewwii irratti: Hashabiyaa ilma Qemuuʼeel; gosa Aroon irratti: Zaadoq;
for Levi, Asabias the son of Camuel: for Aaron, Sadoc:
18 gosa Yihuudaa irratti: Eliihuu obboleessa Daawit; gosa Yisaakor irratti: Omrii ilma Miikaaʼel;
for Juda, Eliab of the brethren of David: for Issachar, Ambri the son of Michael:

22 gosa Daan irratti: Azariʼeel ilma Yirooham. Hangafoonni gosoota Israaʼel isaan kanneen turan.
for Dan, Azariel the son of Iroab: these [are] the chiefs of the tribes of Israel.
23 Daawit sababii Waaqayyo saba Israaʼel akkuma urjiiwwan samiitti baayʼisuuf waadaa galeef dhiira waggaa digdamaatii fi digdamaa gad taʼe hin lakkoofne.
But David took not their number from twenty years old and under: because the Lord said that he would multiply Israel as the stars of the heaven.
24 Yooʼaab ilmi Zeruuyaa dhiirota lakkaaʼuu jalqabe malee lakkaaʼee hin fixne; sababii lakkoobsa kanaatiifis dheekkamsi Waaqaa Israaʼelitti dhufe; kanaafuu warri hedaman iyyuu galmee Daawit mootichaa keessatti hin galmeeffamne.
And Joab the son of Saruia began to number the people, and did not finish the work, for there was hereupon wrath on Israel; and the number was not recorded in the book of the chronicles of king David.

And over the king's treasures [was] Asmoth the son of Odiel; and over the treasures in the country, and in the towns, and in the villages, and in the towers, [was] Jonathan the son of Ozia.
26 Ezeriin ilmi Kiluub shuumii qonnaan bultootaa ture.
And over the husbandmen who tilled the ground [was] Esdri the son of Chelub.
27 Shimeʼiin namichi Raamaatii sun itti gaafatamaa iddoo dhaabaa wayinii ture. Zabdiin namichi Shifaamii sun itti gaafatamaa mana cuunfaa wayinii iddoo dhaabaa wayinii keessaa ture.
And over the fields [was] Semei of Rael; and over the treasures of wine in the fields [was] Zabdi the son of Sephni.
28 Baʼaal-Haanaan namichi Gedeeraa sun shuumii mukkeen ejersaatii fi harbuu tabbawwan gaarran gama lixa biiftuutti argamanii ture. Yooʼaash immoo shuumii mana zayitii ejersaa ture.
And over the olive yards, and over the sycamores in the plain country [was] Ballanan the Gedorite; and over the stores of oil [was] Joas.
29 Shitraayi namichi Shaaroon shuumii karra loonii kan Shaaroonitti bobbaʼuu ture. Shaafaax ilmi Aadilaay shuumii karra loowwan sulula keessa jiranii ture.
And over the oxen pasturing in Saron [was] Satrai the Saronite; and over the oxen in the valleys [was] Sophat the son of Adli.
30 Oobiil namichi gosa Ishmaaʼeel sun shuumii gaalawwanii ture. Yehideyaan namichi gosa Meeroonotaa shuumii harrootaa ture.
And over the camels [was] Abias the Ismaelite; and over the asses [was] Jadias of Merathon.
31 Yaaziiz namichi gosa Aggaar itti gaafatamaa bushaayee ture. Isaan kunneen hundi shuumota qabeenya Daawit mootichaa turan.
And over the sheep [was] Jaziz the Agarite. All these [were] superintendents of the substance of king David.
32 Yoonaataan eessumni Daawit namichi beekaan barreessaan sun gorsituu ture; Yehiiʼeel ilmi Hakmoonii immoo eegduu ilmaan mootichaa ture.
And Jonathan, David's uncle by the father's side, [was] a counsellor, a wise man: and Jeel the son of Achami [was] with the king's sons.
33 Ahiitofel gorsaa mootichaa ture. Huushaayi namichi gosa Arki immoo michuu mootichaa ture.
Achitophel [was] the king's counsellor: and Chusi the chief friend of the king.
34 Yehooyaadaan ilmi Benaayaatii fi Abiyaataar iddoo Ahiitofel buʼan. Yooʼaab immoo ajajaa eegdota mootummaa ture.
And after this Achitophel Jodae the son of Banaeas [came] next, and Abiathar: and Joab [was] the king's commander-in-chief.
