1 Daawit ajajjoota loltootaa wajjin akka isaan kiraaraan, baganaa fi kililleetti fayyadamanii raajii dubbataniif maatii Asaaf, Heemaanii fi Yeduutuun keessaa namoota addaan baafate. Maqaan namoota tajaajila kana kennaa turaniis:
Further, David and the chiefs of the servants of the holy place made selection of certain of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun for the work of prophets, to make melody with corded instruments and brass; and the number of the men for the work they had to do was:
2 Ilmaan Asaaf keessaa: Zakuur, Yoosef, Naataaniyaa fi Asareelaa. Ilmaan Asaaf qajeelcha Asaaf jala turan. Asaaf immoo qajeelcha mootichaa jalatti raajii dubbachaa ture.
Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur and Joseph and Nethaniah and Asharelah, sons of Asaph; under the direction of Asaph, acting as a prophet under the orders of the king;
3 Ilmaan Yeduutuun keessaa: Gedaaliyaas, Zerii, Isaayyaas, Sameeʼi, Hashabiyaa fi Matiitiyaa. Isaan kunneen jaʼan qajeelcha abbaa isaanii Yeduutuun isa kiraaraan Waaqayyo galateeffachaa fi jajachaa raajii dubbachaa ture sanaa jala turan.
Of Jeduthun: the six sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah and Zeri and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah; under the direction of their father Jeduthun who, acting as a prophet, with corded instruments gave praise and glory to the Lord.
4 Ilmaan Heemaan keessaa: Bukiyaa, Mataaniyaa, Uziiʼeel, Shebuuʼeelii fi Yeriimooti; Hanaaniyaa, Hanaanii, Eliiʼaataa, Gidaltii fi Roomaamti-Ezer; Yoshibqaashaa, Malootii, Hootiirii fi Mahaaziyoo ti.
Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;
5 Isaan kunneen hundi ilmaan Heemaan namicha mootichaaf mulʼata argu sanaa turan. Isaan akka isa kabajaniif akkuma Waaqni abdachiise sanatti isaa ni kennaman. Waaqnis ilmaan kudha afurii fi intallan sadii Heemaaniif ni kenne.
All these were sons of Heman, the king's seer in the words of God. And to make great his power God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 Namoonni kunneen hundi tajaajila mana Waaqaa keessatti faarfannaa kililleedhaan, kiraaraa fi baganaadhaan mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo keessatti faarfatamu sanaaf qajeelcha abbootii isaanii jala turan. Asaaf, Yeduutuunii fi Heemaan immoo qajeelcha mootichaa jala turan.
All these, under the direction of their father, made music in the house of the Lord, with brass and corded instruments, for the worship of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the orders of the king.
7 Isaanii fi firoonni isaanii kanneen hundi isaanii faarfannaa Waaqayyoof faarfatamuun leenjifamanii ogummaa qaban walumaa galatti 288 turan.
And the number of them, with their brothers who were trained and expert in making melody to the Lord, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
8 Jarris ramaddii isaanii beekuudhaaf xinnaa fi guddaan, barsiisaa fi barataan haaluma wal fakkaatuun ixaa buufatan.
And selection was made of them for their special work, all having equal chances, small as well as great, the teacher as the learner.
9 Ixaan jalqabatti Asaafiif buʼe sun Yoosefiif, ilmaan Yoosefiitii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaaniis kudha lama turan lammaffaan Gedaaliyaasiif, isaaf, firoota isaatii fi ilmaan isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
Now of the group of Asaph, the first name to come out was Joseph; the second Gedaliah; he and his brothers and sons were twelve?
10 sadaffaan Zakuuriif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The third Zaccur, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
11 afuraffaan Izriif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The fourth Izri, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
12 shanaffaan Naataaniyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The fifth Nethaniah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
13 jaʼaffaan Bukiyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The sixth Bukkiah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
14 torbaffaan Yishiriʼeeliif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The seventh Jesharelah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
15 saddeettaffaan Yashaayaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The eighth Jeshaiah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
16 saglaffaan Mataaniyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The ninth Mattaniah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
17 kurnaffaan Shimeʼiif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The tenth Shimei, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
18 kudha tokkoffaan Azariʼeeliif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The eleventh Azarel, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
19 kudha lammaffaan Hashabiyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The twelfth Hashabiah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
20 kudha sadaffaan Shuubaaʼeeliif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The thirteenth Shubael, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
21 kudha afuraffaan Matiitiyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The fourteenth Mattithiah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
22 kudha shanaffaan Yereemootiif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii nama kudha lama turan
The fifteenth Jeremoth, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
23 kudha jaʼaffaan Hanaaniyaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The sixteenth Hananiah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
24 kudha torbaffaan Yoshibqaashaaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The seventeenth Joshbekashah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
25 kudha saddeettaffaan Hanaaniif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii nama kudha lama turan
The eighteenth Hanani, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
26 kudha saglaffaan Malootiif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The nineteenth Mallothi, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
27 digdammaffaan Eliyaataaf, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The twentieth Eliathah, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
28 digdamii tokkoffaan Hootiiriif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The twenty-first Hothir, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
29 digdamii lammaffaan Gidaltiif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The twenty-second Giddalti, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
30 digdamii sadaffaan Mahaaziyootiif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan
The twenty-third Mahazioth, with his sons and his brothers, twelve;
31 digdamii afuraffaan Roomaamti-Ezeriif, ilmaan isaatii fi firoota isaatiif baʼe; baayʼinni isaanii kudha lama turan.
The twenty-fourth Romamti-ezer, with his sons and his brothers, twelve.
