9 Ilmaan Kuushi: Saabaa, Hawiilaa, Sabtaa, Raʼimaa fi Sabtekaa turan. Ilmaan Raʼimaa: Shebaa fi Dedaan turan.

And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.

And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

20 Yooqxaan immoo Almoodaad, Sheleef, Hazarmaawet, Yaaraa,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,

21 Hadooraam, Uuzaal, Diqlaa,

And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22 Eebaal, Abiimaaʼeel, Shebaa,

And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,

23 Oofiir, Hawiilaa fi Yoobaabin dhalche. Warri kunneen hundinuu ilmaan Yooqxaanii ti.

And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

24 Seem, Arfaakshadi, Sheelaa,

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,

25 Eeberi, Felegi, Reʼuu,

'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,

26 Seruugi, Naahoor, Taaraa,

Serug, Nachor, Terach,

27 akkasumas Abraam kan Abrahaam jedhame sanaa dha.

32 Ilmaan Qexuuraan saajjatoon Abrahaam sun deesse: Zimraan, Yoqshaan, Medaan, Midiyaan, Yishbaaqii fi Shuwaa. Ilmaan Yokshaan: Shebaa fi Dedaan.

The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.

37 Ilmaan Reʼuuʼeel: Nahaati, Zeraa, Shamaa fi Miizaah.

The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 Ilmaan Seeʼiir: Looxaan, Sobaal, Zibeʼoon, Aannaa, Diishoon, Eezerii fi Diishaan.

And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 Ilmaan Looxaan: Hoorii fi Hoomaam, Tiimnaa obboleettii Looxaan.

And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.

40 Ilmaan Sobaal: Aliwaan, Maanahaat, Eebaal, Shefoo fi Oonaami. Ilmaan Zibeʼoon: Ayyaa fi Aannaa.

The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.

41 Ilmi Aannaa: Diishoon. Ilmaan Diishoon: Hemdaan, Eshbaan, Yitraanii fi Keraan.

The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.

42 Ilmaan Eezeri: Bilhaan, Zaawaanii fi Aqaan. Ilmaan Diishaan: Uuzii fi Araan.

The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.

43 Mootonni utuu mootiin Israaʼel tokko iyyuu hin moʼin dura Edoom keessatti moʼan kanneen turan: Belaa ilma Beʼoor kan magaalaan isaa Diinhaabaa jedhamee moggaafame sana.

And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44 Belaa duunaan Yoobaab ilmi Zeraa namichi Bozraa iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.

And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.

45 Yoobaab duunaan Hushaam namichi biyya Teemaan iddoo isaa buʼee mootii taʼe.

And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.

And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.

And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.

And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,

Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
