ରୋମୀୟ 6
1 ତେବେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ କରିବା? ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଚୁର ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ କି ପାପରେ ରହିଥିବା?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ। ପାପ ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ, କିପରି ସେଥିରେ ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜୀବନ କାଟିବା?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ, ସମସ୍ତେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମରଣରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ, ଏହା କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 ଅତଏବ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମରଣରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାଧି ପାଇଅଛୁ, ଯେପରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାରେ ଉତ୍ଥାପିତ ହେଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଜୀବନର ନୂତନ ଭାବରେ ଆଚରଣ କରୁ;
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 କାରଣ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ସାଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକୀଭୂତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନର ସାଦୃଶ୍ୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକୀଭୂତ ହେବା।
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:
6 ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆଉ ପାପର ଦାସତ୍ୱରେ ନ ରହୁ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ପାପର ଶରୀର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁରାତନ ସ୍ୱଭାବ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ହତ ହୋଇଅଛି,
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 ଏହା ତ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, କାରଣ ଯେ ମରିଅଛି, ସେ ପାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛି।
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମରିଅଛୁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମଧ୍ୟ ବଞ୍ଚିବା, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ।
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉତ୍ଥାପିତ ହେବାରୁ ଯେ ଆଉ କେବେ ମରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ତ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ; ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଆଉ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ ନାହିଁ।
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 କାରଣ ସେ ଯେଉଁ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କଲେ, ତଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଥରେ ହିଁ ପାପ ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ ହେଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଯେଉଁ ଜୀବନରେ ଜୀବିତ, ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଜୀବିତ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ପାପ ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଥାଇ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଜୀବିତ ବୋଲି ଗଣନା କର।
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 ଅତଏବ ପାପ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟ ଶରୀରରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ ନ କରୁ, ତାହା କଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଥିର କୁଅଭିଳାଷଗୁଡ଼ାକର ବଶବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେବ;
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 କିମ୍ବା ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗକୁ ଅଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଶସ୍ତ୍ର ରୂପେ ପାପ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କର ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜୀବିତ ହେଲା ପରି ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କର, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଶସ୍ତ୍ର ରୂପେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କର।
Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 କାରଣ ପାପ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଅଧୀନ ନୁହଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ଅଧୀନ ଅଟ।
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 ତେବେ କଅଣ? ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଅଧୀନ ନୋହୁଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ଅଧୀନ ଅଟୁ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ କି ପାପ କରିବା? ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ।
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 ମୃତ୍ୟୁଜନକ ପାପ କିମ୍ବା ଧାର୍ମିକତାଜନକ ଆଜ୍ଞାବହତା, ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯାହା ନିକଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ଦାସ ରୂପେ ସମର୍ପଣ କର, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଯାହାର ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କର, ତାହାର ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦାସ ଅଟ, ଏହା କଅଣ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ?
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 କିନ୍ତୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ହେଉ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ କି ପୂର୍ବରେ ପାପର ଦାସ ଥିଲ, ଏବେ ଯେଉଁ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ଆଦର୍ଶ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛ, ହୃଦୟ ସହ ସେଥିର ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହୋଇଅଛ,
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 ପୁଣି, ପାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଦାସ ହୋଇଅଛ।
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମାନବୀୟ ଦୁର୍ବଳତା ହେତୁ ମୁଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ କହୁଅଛି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଅଧର୍ମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗକୁ ଅଶୁଚିତା ଓ ଅଧର୍ମ ନିକଟରେ ଦାସ ରୂପେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲ, ସେହିପରି ଏବେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗକୁ ପବିତ୍ରତା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ନିକଟରେ ଦାସ ରୂପେ ସମର୍ପଣ କର।
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପର ଦାସ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ଥିଲ।
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 ତେବେ, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କି ଫଳ ଥିଲା? ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ଲଜ୍ଜାବୋଧ କରୁଅଛ, କେବଳ ସେତିକି ମାତ୍ର; ସେହି ସମସ୍ତର ପରିଣାମ ତ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ।
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things [is] death.
