ରୋମୀୟ 3
1 ତେବେ ଯିହୁଦୀ ଲୋକର ବିଶେଷ କଅଣ? ସୁନ୍ନତର ବା ଉପକାର କଅଣ? ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାରେ ବହୁତ।
Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
2 ସର୍ବପ୍ରଥମେ, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
Much in every way. Because first of all, they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
3 ତେବେ କଅଣ? ଯଦି ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ଅବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ହେଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅବିଶ୍ଵସ୍ତତା କଅଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତତାକୁ ନିଷ୍ଫଳ କରିବ?
For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?
4 ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ, ବରଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ହେଲେ ହେଉ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଈଶ୍ବର ସତ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରାଯାଉ, ଯେପରି ଲେଖାଅଛି, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ଜଣାଯିବ, ପୁଣି, ବିଚାରିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ବିଜୟୀ ହେବ।”
Absolutely not. Let God be found true, but every human being a liar. As it is written, "That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you judge."
5 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧାର୍ମିକତା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରେ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ କହିବା? ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ବର କ୍ରୋଧରେ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସେ କି ଅଧାର୍ମିକ? ମୁଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ବିଚାର ଅନୁସାରେ କହୁଅଛି।
But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? (I am speaking in human terms).
6 ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ, କାରଣ ତାହାହେଲେ ଈଶ୍ବର କିପରି ଜଗତର ବିଚାର କରିବେ?
Absolutely not. For then how will God judge the world?
7 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ମୋହର ମିଥ୍ୟା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସତ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଭାବରେ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲା, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଉ କାହିଁକି ପାପୀ ବୋଲି ବିଚାରିତ ହେଉଅଛି?
For if the truth of God through my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
8 ଆଉ, ଭଲ ଫଳ ଫଳିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସ, ମନ୍ଦ କର୍ମ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହୁଅଛୁ ବୋଲି ଯେପରି କେହି କେହି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଗ୍ଳାନି କରି କହନ୍ତି, ସେପରି ବା କାହିଁକି ନ କରିବା? ଏମାନଙ୍କର ଦଣ୍ଡ ଯଥାର୍ଥ।
And why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil, that good may come?" Their condemnation is just.
9 ତେବେ କଅଣ? ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ? ନା, କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ନୁହେଁ, କାରଣ ଯିହୁଦୀ ଓ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ସମସ୍ତେ ଯେ ପାପର ଅଧୀନ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପୂର୍ବରେ ଉଭୟଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଏହି ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଅଛୁ,
What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin.
10 ଯେପରି ଲେଖାଅଛି, “ଧାର୍ମିକ କେହି ନାହିଁ, ନା, ଜଣେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ନାହିଁ,
As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one."
11 ଯେ ବୁଝେ, ଏପରି କେହି ନାହିଁ; ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରେ, ଏପରି ଜଣେ ନାହିଁ;
"There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.
12 ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ବିପଥରେ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏକସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅକର୍ମଣ୍ୟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ସତ୍କର୍ମ କରେ, ଏପରି କେହି ନାହିଁ, ନା, ଏପରି ଜଣେ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
They have all turned aside. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, there is not even one."
13 ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଣ୍ଠ ଉନ୍ମୁକ୍ତ ସମାଧି, ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜିହ୍ୱାରେ ଛଳନା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଓଷ୍ଠ ତଳେ କାଳସର୍ପର ବିଷ ଅଛି,
"Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit." "Viper's poison is under their lips;"
14 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଅଭିଶାପ ଓ କଟୁତାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ;
"Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."
15 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଦ ରକ୍ତପାତ କରିବାକୁ ଦ୍ରୁତଗାମୀ,
"Their feet are swift to shed blood.
16 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଥରେ ବିନାଶ ଓ କ୍ଳେଶ,
Destruction and calamity are in their paths.
17 ପୁଣି, ଶାନ୍ତିର ପଥ ସେମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
The way of peace, they have not known."
18 ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଭୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଖି ଆଗରେ ନ ଥାଏ।”
"There is no fear of God before their eyes."
19 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଯାହା ଯାହା କୁହେ, ସେହିସବୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାଧୀନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହେ, ଯେପରି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମୁଖ ବନ୍ଦ କରାଯିବ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଜଗତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିଚାରରେ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ହେବ;
Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
20 କାରଣ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର କ୍ରିୟାକର୍ମ ଦ୍ୱାରା କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାଣୀ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ଯେହେତୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପାପର ଜ୍ଞାନ ଜନ୍ମେ।
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
21 କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଆଉ ତାହା ବିଷୟରେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଓ ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛି,
But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the Law and the Prophets;
22 ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସମସ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ତ୍ତେ, କାରଣ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରଭେଦ ନାହିଁ,
even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. For there is no distinction,
23 ସମସ୍ତେ ତ ପାପ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବରହିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି,
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
24 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ବିନାମୂଲ୍ୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହରେ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ଯେଉଁ ମୁକ୍ତି ଅଛି, ତଦ୍ୱାରା ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;
25 ଈଶ୍ବର ଆପଣା ସହିଷ୍ଣୁତାରେ ପୂର୍ବକୃତ ପାପସବୁ ଉପେକ୍ଷା କରିଥିବାରୁ ନିଜ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା, ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତବଳି ରୂପେ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି,
whom God displayed publicly as a mercy seat, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, because in God's forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed;
26 ପୁଣି, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କାଳରେ ଆପଣା ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଏହା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯେପରି ସେ ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣନାକାରୀ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, so that he would be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
27 ତେବେ ଗର୍ବ କେଉଁଠାରେ? ତାହା ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହେଲା। କେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା? କଅଣ କ୍ରିୟାକର୍ମର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା? ନା, କିନ୍ତୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା।
Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what manner of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
28 ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମୀମାଂସା ଏହି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର କ୍ରିୟାକର୍ମ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣିତ ହୁଏ।
For we maintain that one is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
29 କିମ୍ବା ଈଶ୍ବର କି କେବଳ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ଈଶ୍ବର? ସେ କି ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ଈଶ୍ବର ନୁହଁନ୍ତି? ହଁ, ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ।
Or is God for Jews only? Is he not the God of the non-Jews also? Yes, of the non-Jews also,
30 କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ତ ଏକ, ଆଉ ସେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହେତୁ ସୁନ୍ନତିକୁ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅସୁନ୍ନତିକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣିବେ।
since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
31 ତେବେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାକୁ ଲୋପ କରୁଅଛୁ? ତାହା କେବେ ହେଁ ନ ହେଉ, ବରଂ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାକୁ ସଂସ୍ଥାପନ କରୁଅଛୁ।
Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not. No, we establish the law.
