ଗୀତସଂହିତା 87

1 ଗୀତ; କୋରହ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଗୀତ। ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ।

The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

2 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାକୁବର ସମସ୍ତ ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସିୟୋନର ଦ୍ୱାରସମୂହକୁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ନେହ କରନ୍ତି।

He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

3 ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନଗରୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ନାନାବିଧ ଗୌରବର କଥା କଥିତ ଅଛି। (ସେଲା)

[You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

4 ମୋʼ ଜାଣିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ରାହବ ଓ ବାବିଲକୁ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିବି; ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟା, ସୋର ଓ କୂଶକୁ ଦେଖ; “ଏହି ଜଣ ସେଠାରେ ଜାତ ହେଲା।”

[Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

5 ଆହୁରି, ସିୟୋନ ବିଷୟରେ କୁହାଯିବ, “ଏଜଣ ଓ ସେଜଣ ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜାତ ହେଲେ;” ପୁଣି, ସର୍ବୋପରିସ୍ଥ ସ୍ୱୟଂ ତାହା ସୁସ୍ଥିର କରିବେ।

And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

6 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗର ନାମ ଲେଖିବା ସମୟରେ, “ଏଜଣ ସେଠାରେ ଜାତ ହେଲା” ବୋଲି ଗଣନା କରିବେ। (ସେଲା)

Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

7 ଗାୟକ ଓ ନର୍ତ୍ତକମାନେ କହିବେ, “ମୋହର ସବୁ ଝର ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ ଅଛି।”

They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”
