ଗୀତସଂହିତା 58
1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଲ୍-ତଶ୍ହେତ୍ ସ୍ୱରରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ; ମିକ୍ତାମ୍। ପ୍ରକୃତରେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନୀରବ ହୋଇ ଧର୍ମନୀତି କହୁଅଛ? ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ନ୍ୟାୟରେ ବିଚାର କରୁଅଛ?
To the chief music-maker; put to Al-tashheth. Michtam. Of David. Is there righteousness in your mouths, O you gods? are you upright judges, O you sons of men?
2 ବରଞ୍ଚ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ହୃଦୟରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ସାଧନ କରୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦେଶରେ ସ୍ୱହସ୍ତର ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ତୌଲୁଅଛ।
The purposes of your hearts are evil; your hands are full of cruel doings on the earth.
3 ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ବିପଥଗାମୀ; ସେମାନେ ଜନ୍ମଠାରୁ ମିଥ୍ୟା କହି କହି ବିପଥରେ ଗମନ କରନ୍ତି।
The evil-doers are strange from the first; from the hour of their birth they go out of the true way, saying false words.
4 ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଷ ସର୍ପର ବିଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ; ସେମାନେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣରୋଧକାରିଣୀ ବଧିରା କାଳସର୍ପିଣୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ;
Their poison is like the poison of a snake; they are like the adder, whose ears are shut;
5 ସାପୁଡ଼ିଆମାନେ ଯେତେ ନିପୁଣ ଭାବରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ର ପଢ଼ିଲେ ହେଁ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ।
Who will not be moved by the voice of the wonder-worker, however great are his powers.
6 ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦନ୍ତ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଅ; ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଯୁବା ସିଂହମାନଙ୍କର କଳଦନ୍ତ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଅ।
O God, let their teeth be broken in their mouths; let the great teeth of the young lions be pulled out, O Lord.
7 ସେମାନେ ବହନ୍ତା ଜଳ ପରି ତରଳି ଯାଉନ୍ତୁ; ସେ ଆପଣା ତୀର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରିବା ବେଳେ ତାହାସବୁ ଛିନ୍ନ ତୀର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେଉ।
Let them be turned to liquid like the ever-flowing waters; let them be cut off like the grass by the way.
8 ଯେଉଁ ଶାମୁକା ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ତରଳି ଯାଏ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ଯେଉଁ ଅକାଳଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ, ତାହାରି ପରି ସେମାନେ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
Let them be like an after-birth which is turned to water and comes to an end; like the fruit of a woman who gives birth before her time, let them not see the sun.
9 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହାଣ୍ଡି କଣ୍ଟକ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ ନ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ସେ କଞ୍ଚା ଓ ପୋଡ଼ା ସମସ୍ତ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁରେ ଉଡ଼ାଇ ନେବେ।
Before they are conscious of it, let them be cut down like thorns; let a strong wind take them away like waste growth.
10 ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେଖି ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ; ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତରେ ଆପଣା ପାଦ ଧୋଇବ।
The upright man will be glad when he sees their punishment; his feet will be washed in the blood of the evil-doer.
11 ତହିଁରେ ଲୋକମାନେ କହିବେ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ପାଇଁ ପୁରସ୍କାର ଅଛି; ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ଏକ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଛନ୍ତି।
So that men will say, Truly there is a reward for righteousness; truly there is a God who is judge on the earth.
