ଗୀତସଂହିତା 54

1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାରଯୁକ୍ତ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ମସ୍କୀଲ୍‍। “ଦାଉଦ କʼଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଲୁଚିକରି ନାହିଁ?” ସୀଫୀୟମାନେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିବା ସମୟରେ ରଚିତ। ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋତେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରାକ୍ରମରେ ମୋହର ବିଚାର କର।

To victorie in orguns, ether in salmes, the lernyng of Dauid, `whanne Zyfeys camen, and seiden to Saul, Whethir Dauid is not hid at vs? God, in thi name make thou me saaf; and in thi vertu deme thou me.

2 ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୋହର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣ; ମୋʼ ମୁଖର କଥାରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର।

God, here thou my preier; with eeris perseyue thou the wordis of my mouth.

3 କାରଣ ଅପରିଚିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋʼ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଦୁରନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣ ଖୋଜି ଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ରଖି ନାହାନ୍ତି। (ସେଲା)

For aliens han rise ayens me, and stronge men souyten my lijf; and thei settiden not God bifor her siyt.

4 ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋହର ସାହାଯ୍ୟକାରୀ; ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣରକ୍ଷକ ଅଟନ୍ତି।

For, lo! God helpith me; and the Lord is vptaker of my soule.

5 ସେ ମୋʼ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମନ୍ଦତାର ଫଳ ଦେବେ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସତ୍ୟତାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କର।

Turne thou awei yuelis to myn enemyes; and leese thou hem in thi treuthe.

6 ମୁଁ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଦତ୍ତ ଉପହାର ନେଇ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବି; ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ କରିବି, କାରଣ ତାହା ଉତ୍ତମ।

Wilfuli Y schal make sacrifice to thee; and, Lord, Y schal knouleche to thi name, for it is good.

7 ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ମୋତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିପଦରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆଉ, ମୋʼ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ଉପରେ ମୋର ବାଞ୍ଛା ସଫଳ ହେବାର ମୋହର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦେଖିଅଛି।

For thou delyueridist me fro al tribulacioun; and myn iye dispiside on myn enemyes.
