ଗୀତସଂହିତା 53

1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ମହଲତ୍‍ ସ୍ୱରରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ମସ୍କୀଲ୍‍। “ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନାହାନ୍ତି” ବୋଲି ମୂର୍ଖ ଆପଣା ମନେ ମନେ କହିଅଛି। ସେମାନେ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ, ସେମାନେ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଅଧର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, କେହି ସତ୍କର୍ମ କରେ ନାହିଁ।

“To the chief musician upon Machalath, a Maskil of David.” The worthless fool saith in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, and they are abominable [in their] injustice: there is none that doth good.

2 ବିବେଚକ କେହି ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣକାରୀ କେହି ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କଲେ।

God looketh down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be one intelligent, one who seeketh for God.

3 ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ବିପଥରେ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଅଶୁଚି ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନଙ୍କର କେହି ସୁକର୍ମ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ନା, ଜଣେ ହେଁ ନାହିଁ।

Every one [of them] hath departed [from righteousness]; altogether are they become corrupt: there is none that doth good, no, not one.

4 ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କର କି କିଛି ଜ୍ଞାନ ନାହିଁ? ସେମାନେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା ପରି ମୋʼ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

Is there no knowledge in the workers of wickedness? who eat up my people as they eat bread: [while] they do not call on God.

5 ଭୟ ନ ଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନେ ବଡ଼ ଭୟ ପାଇଥିଲେ; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀର ଅସ୍ଥିସବୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରି ପକାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲଜ୍ଜା ଦେଇଅଛ।

There were they terrified with terror where there was no terror; for God had scattered the bones of those that encamped against thee: thou didst put them to shame, because God had rejected them.

6 ଆଃ, ଯଦି ସିୟୋନଠାରୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତା! ଯେତେବେଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱରୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଯାକୁବ ଉଲ୍ଲସିତ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେବେ।

Oh that some one might bring the salvation of Israel out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, [then] will Jacob be glad, [and] Israel will rejoice.
