ଗୀତସଂହିତା 51
1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ଦାଉଦ ବତ୍ଶେବାଠାରେ ଗମନ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଆସିବା ସମୟରେ ରଚିତ। ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ଆପଣା ସ୍ନେହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଣାନୁସାରେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କର; ତୁମ୍ଭ କୃପାର ବାହୁଲ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ମୋହର ଅଧର୍ମ ମାର୍ଜନା କର।
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. When Nathan the Prophet had come to him, after he had gone in unto Bath-sheba. Be favorable unto me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness, And, in the multitude of thy compassions, blot out my transgressions;
2 ମୋʼ ଅପରାଧରୁ ମୋତେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରକ୍ଷାଳନ କର ଓ ମୋʼ ପାପରୁ ମୋତେ ଶୁଚି କର।
Thoroughly wash me from mine iniquity, And, from my sin, make me pure;
3 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଅଧର୍ମ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରୁଅଛି ଓ ମୋʼ ପାପ ସର୍ବଦା ମୋʼ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଅଛି।
For, my transgressions, do, I, acknowledge, And, my sin, is before me continually:
4 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ, କେବଳ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରିଅଛି, ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯାହା ମନ୍ଦ, ତାହା ହିଁ କରିଅଛି; ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଥା କହିବା ବେଳେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ବିଚାର କରିବା ବେଳେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ହେବ।
Against thee—against thee alone, have I sinned, And, wickedness—in thine eyes, have I done, —That thou mayest, Be justified when thou speakest, —Be clear when thou judgest.
5 ଦେଖ, ଅପରାଧରେ ମୁଁ ନିର୍ମିତ ହେଲି ଓ ପାପରେ ମୋʼ ମାତା ମୋତେ ଗର୍ଭରେ ଧାରଣ କଲା।
Lo! in iniquity, was I brought forth, And, in sin, did my mother conceive me.
6 ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ସତ୍ୟତା ଚାହୁଁଅଛ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗୂଢ଼ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମୋତେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବ।
Lo! faithfulness, hast thou desired in the inward parts, Yea, in the hidden part, wilt thou cause me to know, wisdom.
7 ଏସୋବ ଦେଇ ମୋତେ ନିର୍ମଳ କର, ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ଶୁଚି ହେବି; ମୋତେ ପ୍ରକ୍ଷାଳନ କର, ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ହିମଠାରୁ ଶୁକ୍ଳ ହେବି।
Wilt thou cleanse me from sin with hyssop, That I may be pure? Wilt thou wash me, That I may be whiter, than snow?
8 ମୋତେ ଆହ୍ଲାଦ ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦଜନକ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣାଅ; ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭଗ୍ନ ଅସ୍ଥିସବୁ ପ୍ରଫୁଲ୍ଲ ହେବ।
Wilt thou cause me to hear joy and gladness? The bones thou hast crushed would exult.
9 ମୋʼ ପାପସମୂହ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କର ଓ ମୋʼ ଅପରାଧସବୁ ମାର୍ଜନା କର।
Hide thy face from my sins, —And, all mine iniquities, blot out;
10 ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୋʼ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ଶୁଚି ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କର ଓ ମୋʼ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ଆତ୍ମା ନୂତନ କର।
A pure heart, create for me, O God, And, a steadfast spirit, renew within me.
11 ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛାମୁରୁ ମୋତେ ଦୂର କର ନାହିଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ନିଅ ନାହିଁ।
Do not cast me away from thy presence, And, thy Holy Spirit, do not take from me:
12 ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଆନନ୍ଦ ପୁନର୍ବାର ମୋତେ ଦିଅ ଓ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛନ୍ଦ ଆତ୍ମା ଦେଇ ମୋତେ ଧରି ରଖ।
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, And, with a willing spirit, wilt thou uphold me: —
13 ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ଅପରାଧୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପଥ ଶିଖାଇବି ଓ ପାପୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଫେରିବେ।
I would teach transgressors thy ways, And, sinners, unto thee, should return.
14 ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୋʼ ତ୍ରାଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ରକ୍ତପାତ ଦୋଷରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କର; ତହିଁରେ ମୋହର ଜିହ୍ୱା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଧର୍ମ ବିଷୟ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ଗାନ କରିବ।
Rescue me from shed-blood, O God, the God of my salvation, My tongue should shout thy righteousness;
15 ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୋʼ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ଫିଟାଅ, ତହିଁରେ ମୋʼ ମୁଖ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବ।
O My Lord! my lips, wilt thou open, And, my mouth, shall declare thy praise.
16 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବଳିଦାନରେ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ନୁହଁ; ହେଲେ ମୁଁ ତାହା ଦିଅନ୍ତି; ହୋମବଳିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର କିଛି ସନ୍ତୋଷ ନାହିଁ।
For thou wilt not desire sacrifice—that I should give it, Ascending-offering, will not please:
17 ଭଗ୍ନ ଆତ୍ମା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ବଳି, ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭଗ୍ନ ଓ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
The sacrifices of God, are a spirit that is broken, —A heart—broken and crushed, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଅନୁଗ୍ରହରେ ସିୟୋନର ମଙ୍ଗଳ କର; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ପ୍ରାଚୀରସବୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କର।
Do good, in thy good-pleasure, unto Zion, Wilt thou build the walls of Jerusalem!
19 ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧର୍ମବଳି, ହୋମବଳି ଓ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆହୁତିରେ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହେବ; ତହୁଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବେଦି ଉପରେ ବୃଷମାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବେ।
Then, shalt thou desire the sacrifices of righteousness, Ascending-sacrifice and whole burnt-offering, Then, shall ascend upon thine altar, young bulls.
