ଗୀତସଂହିତା 4
1 ତାରଯୁକ୍ତ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ହେ ମୋହର ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୁଁ ଡାକିଲେ ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ; ସଙ୍କଟରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରଶସ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନ ଦେଇଅଛ; ମୋତେ ଦୟା କର ଓ ମୋହର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣ।
For the End, a Song of David among [the ]Psalms. When I called upon [him], the God of my righteousness heard me: you have made room for me in tribulation; pity me, and listen to my prayer.
2 ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, କେତେ କାଳ ମୋହର ଗୌରବ ଅପମାନରେ ପରିଣତ ହେବ? କେତେ କାଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅସାରତାକୁ ସ୍ନେହ କରିବ ଓ ମିଥ୍ୟାର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିବ? (ସେଲା)
O you sons of men, how long [will you be] slow of heart? therefore do you love vanity, and seek falsehood? (Pause)
3 ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ସଦ୍ଭକ୍ତ ଲୋକକୁ ପୃଥକ କରି ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୁଅ; ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ, ସେ ଶୁଣିବେ।
But know you that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: the Lord will hear me when I cry to him.
4 ଭୀତ ହୁଅ ଓ ପାପ କର ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶଯ୍ୟା ଉପରେ ମନେ ମନେ କଥା କହି ନୀରବ ହୁଅ। (ସେଲା)
Be you angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what you say in your hearts. (Pause)
5 ଧର୍ମବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କର ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର।
Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.
6 ଅନେକେ କହନ୍ତି, “କିଏ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଦେଖାଇବ?” ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ମୁଖର ତେଜ ପ୍ରକାଶ କର।
Many say, Who will show us good things? the light of your countenance, O Lord, has been manifested towards us.
7 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଦେଇଅଛ, ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶସ୍ୟ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ବୃଦ୍ଧିକାଳର ଆନନ୍ଦ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ।
You have put gladness into my heart: they have been satisfied with the fruit of their corn and wine and oil.
8 ମୁଁ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ଶୟନ କରିବି ଓ ନିଦ୍ରା ଯିବି; କାରଣ ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, କେବଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ନିରାପଦରେ ବାସ କରାଉଅଛ।
I will both lie down in peace and sleep: for you, Lord, only have caused me to dwell securely.
