ଗୀତସଂହିତା 37
1 ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣାକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କର ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଈର୍ଷାଭାବ ବହ ନାହିଁ।
“Of David.” Do not fret thyself because of the evil-doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଘାସ ପରି ଶୀଘ୍ର କଟାଯିବେ ଓ କୋମଳ ତୃଣ ପରି ଶୁଷ୍କ ହେବେ।
For like the grass they shall soon be mowed down, and like the green herb shall they wither.
3 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭର ରଖି ସୁକର୍ମ କର; ଦେଶରେ ବାସ କରି ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତତାର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୁଅ।
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed [thyself] with truthfulness.
4 ମଧ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କର; ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମନୋବାଞ୍ଛା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବେ।
And delight thyself in the Lord, and he will give thee the wishes of thy heart.
5 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗତି ସମର୍ପଣ କର; ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭର ରଖ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତାହା ସଫଳ କରିବେ।
Commit thy way unto the Lord, and trust in him: and he will accomplish it.
6 ଆଉ, ସେ ଦୀପ୍ତି ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧର୍ମ ଓ ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର ପ୍ରକାଶ କରାଇବେ।
And he will bring forth as the light thy righteousness, and the justice of thy [cause] as the noonday.
7 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ହୁଅ ଓ ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଧରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରୁହ; ଯେ ନିଜ ମାର୍ଗରେ କୃତକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୁଏ, ଯେଉଁ ଜନ କୁସଂକଳ୍ପ ସାଧନ କରେ, ତାହା ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣାକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କର ନାହିଁ।
Be silent before the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who practices wicked devices.
8 କ୍ରୋଧରୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହୁଅ ଓ କୋପ ତ୍ୟାଗ କର; ଆପଣାକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କର ନାହିଁ, ତାହା କେବଳ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଏ।
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 କାରଣ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ; ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାକାରୀମାନେ ଦେଶାଧିକାରୀ ହେବେ।
For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord, these—shall truly inherit the land.
10 ଆଉ, ଅଳ୍ପକ୍ଷଣ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ନ ଥିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ତାହାର ସ୍ଥାନ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ କରିବ, ଆଉ ସେ ନ ଥିବ।
For yet but for a little while, and the wicked shall be no more: yea, thou wilt look carefully at his place, and he shall not be there.
11 ମାତ୍ର ନମ୍ର ଲୋକମାନେ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବେ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତିର ବାହୁଲ୍ୟରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ କରିବେ।
But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves because of the abundance of peace.
12 ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଧାର୍ମିକର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ କୁକଳ୍ପନା କରେ ଓ ତାହା ଉପରେ ଦନ୍ତ କଡ଼ମଡ଼ କରେ।
The wicked purposeth evil against the just, and gnasheth against him with his teeth.
13 ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉପହାସ କରିବେ। କାରଣ ତାହାର ଅନ୍ତିମ ଦିନ ଯେ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଏହା ସେ ଦେଖନ୍ତି।
The Lord will laugh at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 ଦୁଃଖୀ ଓ ଦୀନହୀନକୁ ନିପାତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ, ସରଳ ପଥଗାମୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଖଡ୍ଗ ନିଷ୍କୋଷ କରି ଧନୁ ନୁଆଁଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall, and to slaughter such as are of an upright course [of life].
15 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଖଡ୍ଗ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିଜ ହୃଦୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଧନୁ ଭଙ୍ଗାଯିବ।
[But] their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 ଅନେକ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକର ପ୍ରଚୁର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଭଲ।
Better is the little that the righteous hath, than the great riches of many wicked.
17 କାରଣ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବାହୁ ଭଙ୍ଗାଯିବ, ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧାର୍ମିକକୁ ଧରି ରଖିବେ।
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the upholder of the righteous is the Lord.
18 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଦିନସବୁ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ।
The Lord regardeth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall endure for ever.
19 ସେମାନେ ବିପଦ ସମୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନେ ପରିତୃପ୍ତ ହେବେ।
They shall not be made ashamed in the time of unhappiness; and in the days of famine shall they be satisfied.
20 ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ, ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ଚରାସ୍ଥାନରେ ଶୋଭା ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବେ; ସେମାନେ ନିଃଶେଷିତ ହେବେ; ସେମାନେ ଧୂମରେ ନିଃଶେଷିତ ହୋଇଯିବେ।
But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the beauty of the meadow: they pass away; in smoke they pass away.
21 ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଋଣ କରି ପରିଶୋଧ କରେ ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଦୟା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି ଦାନ କରେ।
The wicked borroweth, and repayeth not; but the righteous is beneficent, and giveth.
22 କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଦେଶାଧିକାର କରିବେ; ପୁଣି, ତାହାଙ୍କର ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ
For those blessed of him shall inherit the land; and those cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଗତି ସ୍ଥିରୀକୃତ ହୁଏ ଓ ସେ ତାହାର ପଥରେ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
By the Lord are the steps of the righteous man established; and he findeth pleasure in his course [of life].
24 ସେ ପତିତ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ଭୂମିଶାୟୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସ୍ୱହସ୍ତରେ ତାହାକୁ ଧରି ରଖନ୍ତି।
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholdeth his hand.
25 ମୁଁ ଯୁବା ଥିଲି, ଏବେ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି; ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ଧାର୍ମିକକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟକ୍ତ, ଅବା ତାହାର ବଂଶକୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଭିକ୍ଷା କରିବାର ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ।
I have been young, and I am also grown old: yet have I never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking for bread.
26 ସେ ସାରାଦିନ ଦୟା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି ଉଧାର ଦିଏ; ପୁଣି, ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ପାଆନ୍ତି।
He is all the time beneficent, and lendeth: and his seed will be for a blessing.
27 ମନ୍ଦଠାରୁ ଦୂର ହୁଅ ଓ ସୁକର୍ମ କର; ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ବାସ କରିବ।
Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି ଓ ଆପଣା ସଦ୍ଭକ୍ତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ରକ୍ଷିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବଂଶ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ।
For the Lord loveth justice, and never forsaketh his pious servants: they are for ever preserved; but the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
29 ଧାର୍ମିକ ଦେଶାଧିକାର କରିବ ଓ ସଦାକାଳ ତହିଁରେ ବାସ କରିବ।
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell for ever therein.
30 ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁଖ ଜ୍ଞାନର କଥା କହେ ଓ ତାହାର ଜିହ୍ୱା ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିଚାରର କଥା କହେ।
The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh what is just.
31 ତାହାର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ତାହାର ଅନ୍ତରରେ ଅଛି; ତାହାର କୌଣସି ପାଦଗତି ଖସିଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
The law of his God is in his heart: none of his steps shall slip.
32 ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଧାର୍ମିକକୁ ଜଗି ବସେ ଓ ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରେ।
The wicked looketh out for the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାର ହସ୍ତରେ ତାହାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ସେ ବିଚାରିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ତାହାକୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
The Lord will not leave him in his hand, and will not condemn him when he is judged.
34 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁସରଣ କର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଥ ରକ୍ଷା କର, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଶାଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉନ୍ନତ କରିବେ; ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଦେଖିବ।
Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, shalt thou look on.
35 ମୁଁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟକୁ ମହାକ୍ଷମତାପନ୍ନ ଓ ସ୍ୱଭୂମିରେ ସତେଜ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରସାରିବାର ଦେଖିଅଛି।
I have seen the wicked terrible in power, and striking root like a green tree in its native soil.
36 ମାତ୍ର ଜଣେ ନିକଟ ଦେଇ ଗଲା, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେ ନ ଥିଲା; ଆହୁରି, ମୁଁ ତାହାର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କଲି, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ମିଳିଲା ନାହିଁ।
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was no more: and I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକକୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କର ଓ ସରଳ ଲୋକକୁ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କର; କାରଣ ଶାନ୍ତିପ୍ରିୟ ଲୋକର ଶେଷ ଫଳ ଅଛି।
Observe the perfect man, and behold the upright; for there is a [happy] future for the man of peace.
38 ମାତ୍ର ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନେ ଏକାବେଳେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ; ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଶେଷ ଫଳ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ।
But the transgressors are destroyed together: the future of the wicked is cut off.
39 ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକର ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ହୁଏ; ସେ ସଙ୍କଟ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୃଢ଼ ଦୁର୍ଗ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
And the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord: he is their strong-hold in the time of distress.
40 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି; ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କରନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶରଣାଗତ।
And the Lord helpeth them, and delivereth them; he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them; because they have put their trust in him.
