ଗୀତସଂହିତା 23

1 ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରତିପାଳକ; ମୋହର ଅଭାବ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 ସେ କୋମଳ ତୃଣମୟ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମୋତେ ଶୟନ କରାନ୍ତି; ସେ ସ୍ଥିର ଜଳ ପାଖେ ପାଖେ ମୋତେ କଢ଼ାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି।

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 ସେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରନ୍ତି, ସେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ସକାଶୁ ଧର୍ମ ପଥରେ ମୋତେ କଢ଼ାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି।

He restoreth my soul; He guideth me in straight paths for His name's sake.

4 ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାରୂପ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ଦେଇ ଗମନ କଲେ ହେଁ କୌଣସି ଆପଦକୁ ଭୟ କରିବି ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋହର ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଞ୍ଚଣ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାଡ଼ି ମୋତେ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା ଦିଅନ୍ତି।

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

5 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ମୋʼ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ମେଜ ସଜାଉଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୈଳରେ ମୋʼ ମସ୍ତକ ସିକ୍ତ କରିଅଛ; ମୋʼ ପାନପାତ୍ର ଉଚ୍ଛୁଳି ପଡ଼ୁଅଛି।

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଓ ଦୟା ମୋହର ଜୀବନଯାଏ ମୋହର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍‍ଗାମୀ ହେବ; ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରିବି।

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
