ଗୀତସଂହିତା 2
1 ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନେ କାହିଁକି କଳହ କରନ୍ତି; ଜନବୃନ୍ଦ କାହିଁକି ବୃଥାରେ ଷଡ଼ଯନ୍ତ୍ର କରନ୍ତି?
Wherefore have nations assembled in tumult? Or should, peoples, mutter an empty thing?
2 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭୂପତିଗଣ ଠିଆ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଓ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣ ଏକତ୍ର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କରନ୍ତି,
The kings of earth take their station, and, grave men, have met by appointment together, —against Yahweh, and against his Anointed One [saying]:
3 “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଧନ ଛିଣ୍ଡାଇ ପକାଉ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରଜ୍ଜୁ ଦୂର କରିଦେଉ।”
Let us break asunder their bonds, —and cast from us their cords!
4 ଯେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ, ସେ ହସିବେ; ପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରିବେ।
He that sitteth in the heavens, will laugh, —My Lord, will mock at them:
5 ତହୁଁ ସେ ଆପଣା କୋପରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିବେ ଓ ଆପଣା ମହାକୋପରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ କରିବେ;
Then, will he speak unto them in his anger, and, in his wrath, confound them:
6 “ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବତ ସିୟୋନରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଅଛି।”
Yet, I, have installed my king, —on Zion my holy mountain.
7 ମୁଁ ସେହି ବିଧାନ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବି; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପୁତ୍ର; ଆଜି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲୁ।
Let me tell of a decree, —Yahweh, hath said unto me, My son, thou art, I, to-day, have begotten thee:
8 ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ମାଗ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତଭାଗସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେବା।
Ask of me, and let me give nations as thine inheritance, and, as thy possession, the ends of the earth:
9 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲୌହ ଦଣ୍ଡରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୁମ୍ଭକାରର ପାତ୍ର ପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବ।”
Thou shalt shepherd them with a sceptre of iron, —as a potter’s vessel, shalt thou dash them in pieces.
10 ଏହି କାରଣରୁ, ହେ ରାଜାଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ହୁଅ, ହେ ପୃଥିବୀର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କର।
Now, therefore, ye kings, show your prudence, Be admonished, ye judges of earth:
11 ଭୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସେବା କର ଓ କମ୍ପିତ ହୋଇ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ କର।
Serve Yahweh with reverence, and exult with trembling:
12 ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କର, ନୋହିଲେ ସେ କ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ ହେବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପଥରେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ, କାରଣ ଶୀଘ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କର କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେବ। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶରଣ ନିଅନ୍ତି, ସେସମସ୍ତେ ଧନ୍ୟ।
Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish by the way, for soon might be kindled his anger, —How happy are all who seek refuge in him!
