ଗୀତସଂହିତା 140
1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଦୁର୍ଜ୍ଜନଠାରୁ ମୋତେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କର; ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟକାରୀ ମନୁଷ୍ୟଠାରୁ ମୋତେ ରକ୍ଷା କର।
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. Deliuer me, O Lord, from the euill man: preserue me from the cruel man:
2 ସେମାନେ ମନେ ମନେ କୁକଳ୍ପନା କରନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
Which imagine euill things in their heart, and make warre continually.
3 ସେମାନେ ସର୍ପ ପରି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜିହ୍ୱା ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ତଳେ କାଳସର୍ପର ଗରଳ ଥାଏ। (ସେଲା)
They haue sharpened their tongues like a serpent: adders poyson is vnder their lips. (Selah)
4 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ହସ୍ତରୁ ମୋତେ ରଖ; ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟକାରୀ ମନୁଷ୍ୟଠାରୁ ମୋତେ ରକ୍ଷା କର; ସେମାନେ ବିପଥକୁ ମୋʼ ଚରଣ ପେଲି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ କଳ୍ପନା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
Keepe mee, O Lord, from the handes of the wicked: preserue mee from the cruell man, which purposeth to cause my steppes to slide.
5 ଅହଙ୍କାରୀମାନେ ଗୋପନରେ ମୋʼ ପାଇଁ ଫାନ୍ଦ ଓ ଦଉଡ଼ି ପାତିଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ପଥ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ଜାଲ ପ୍ରସାରି ଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ମୋʼ ପାଇଁ ଯନ୍ତା ବସାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି। (ସେଲା)
The proude haue layde a snare for me, and spred a nette with cordes in my pathway, and set grennes for me. (Selah)
6 ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋହର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର; ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୋʼ ନିବେଦନର ରବରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର।
Therefore I saide vnto the Lord, Thou art my God: heare, O Lord, the voyce of my prayers.
7 ହେ ମୋʼ ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ବଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ, ପ୍ରଭୋ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧର ଦିନରେ ମୋʼ ମସ୍ତକ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଅଛ।
O Lord God the strength of my saluation, thou hast couered mine head in the day of battel.
8 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବାଞ୍ଛା ପ୍ରଦାନ କର ନାହିଁ; ତାହାର କୁକଳ୍ପନା ସିଦ୍ଧ କର ନାହିଁ; କେଜାଣି ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗର୍ବିତ କରିବେ। (ସେଲା)
Let not the wicked haue his desire, O Lord: performe not his wicked thought, least they be proude. (Selah)
9 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମୋତେ ଘେରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିଜ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରର ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ।
As for the chiefe of them, that compasse me about, let the mischiefe of their owne lippes come vpon them.
10 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଜ୍ୱଳନ୍ତା ଅଙ୍ଗାର ପଡ଼ୁ। ସେମାନେ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ; ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଆଉ ଉଠି ନ ପାରିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଗଭୀର ଗର୍ତ୍ତରେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
Let coles fal vpon them: let him cast them into the fire, and into the deepe pits, that they rise not.
11 ଦୁର୍ମୁଖ ଲୋକ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ସ୍ଥିର ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ଉପଦ୍ରବୀକୁ ନିପାତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ମୃଗୟା କରିବ।
For the backbiter shall not be established vpon the earth: euill shall hunt the cruell man to destruction.
12 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦୁଃଖୀର ବିବାଦ ଓ ଦୀନହୀନର ବିଚାର ନିଷ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବେ, ଏହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ।
I know that the Lord will auenge the afflicted, and iudge the poore.
13 ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ କରିବେ; ସରଳ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛାମୁରେ ବାସ କରିବେ।
Surely the righteous shall prayse thy Name, and the iust shall dwell in thy presence.
