ଗୀତସଂହିତା 14

1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ମୂଢ଼ ମନେ ମନେ କହିଅଛି, “ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନାହାନ୍ତି।” ସେମାନେ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ, ସେମାନେ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସୁକର୍ମକାରୀ କେହି ନାହିଁ।

To the victorie of Dauid. The vnwise man seide in his herte, God is not. Thei ben corrupt, and ben maad abhomynable in her studies; noon is that doith good, noon is til to oon.

2 ବିବେଚକ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣକାରୀ କେହି ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରନ୍ତି।

The Lord bihelde fro heuene on the sones of men; that he se, if ony is vndurstondynge, ethir sekynge God.

3 ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ବିପଥରେ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ଅଶୁଚି ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ସୁକର୍ମକାରୀ କେହି ନାହିଁ, ନା, ଜଣେ ହେଁ ନାହିଁ।

Alle bowiden awei, togidere thei ben maad vnprofitable; noon is that doth good, noon is `til to oon. The throte of hem is an open sepulcre, thei diden gilefuli with her tungis; the venym of snakis is vndur her lippis. Whos mouth is ful of cursyng and bittirnesse; her feet ben swift to schede out blood. Sorewe and cursidnesse is in the weies of hem, and thei knewen not the weie of pees; the drede of God is not bifor her iyen.

4 ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର କି କିଛି ଜ୍ଞାନ ନାହିଁ? ସେମାନେ ମୋʼ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହାର ପରି ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

Whether alle men that worchen wickidnesse schulen not knowe; that deuowren my puple, as mete of breed?

5 ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନେ ମହାଭୟଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଧାର୍ମିକ-ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

Thei clepeden not the Lord; thei trembliden there for dreed, where was no drede;

6 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଃଖୀର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାକୁ ଲଜ୍ଜାର ବିଷୟ କରୁଅଛ, ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି।

for the Lord is in a riytful generacioun. Thou hast schent the counsel of a pore man; for the Lord is his hope.

7 ଆହା, ସିୟୋନଠାରୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଉ! ଯଦି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱରୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣନ୍ତି ତେବେ ଯାକୁବ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ କରିବ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେବ।

Who schal yyue fro Syon helthe to Israel? Whanne the Lord hath turned awei the caitifte of his puple; Jacob schal `fulli be ioiful, and Israel schal be glad.
