ଗୀତସଂହିତା 122

1 ଆରୋହଣ ଗୀତ; ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ରଚିତ। “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଯାଉ,” ଏହି କଥା ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋତେ କହିବା ବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲି।

I was glad/happy when people said to me, “We should go to the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem]!”

2 ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦ୍ୱାର ଭିତରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚରଣ ଠିଆ ହେଉଅଛି;

And now we are here, standing inside the gates/city of [APO] Jerusalem.

3 ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ଏକ ନଗର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇଅଛ;

Jerusalem is a city that has been rebuilt, with the result that people can gather together in it.

4 ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀବର୍ଗ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପ୍ରତି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମକୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେଠାରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରନ୍ତି।

We [people of the] tribes of Israel who belong to Yahweh can now go up there as Yahweh commanded that we should do, and we can thank him.

5 କାରଣ ସେଠାରେ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥକ ସିଂହାସନ, ଦାଉଦ-ବଂଶର ସିଂହାସନସବୁ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ଅଛି।

There the kings of Israel who were descendants of [King] David sit on their thrones and decide cases [fairly when the people have disputes].

6 ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର; ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସ୍ନେହ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଅଶେଷ ଉନ୍ନତି କରିବେ।

Pray that there will be peace in Jerusalem; I desire that those who love Jerusalem will (prosper/live peacefully).

7 ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଟ୍ଟାଳିକାସମୂହର ସୌଭାଗ୍ୟ ହେଉ।

I desire that there will be peace inside the walls of the city and that [people who are] inside the palaces will be safe.

8 ମୋହର ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ଓ ମିତ୍ରଗଣ ସକାଶେ ମୁଁ ଏବେ କହିବି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ।

For the sake of my relatives and friends, I say, “My desire is that that inside Jerusalem [people will live] peacefully.”

9 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ସକାଶେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବି।

And because I love the temple of Yahweh our God, I pray that things will go well for the people who live [in Jerusalem].
