ଗୀତସଂହିତା 114

1 ଯେତେବେଳେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମିସରରୁ ଓ ଯାକୁବ ବଂଶ ଅନ୍ୟ ଭାଷାବାଦୀ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବାହାରିଲେ;

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:

2 ସେତେବେଳେ ଯିହୁଦା ତାହାଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମଧାମ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ହେଲା,

Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

3 ସମୁଦ୍ର ତାହା ଦେଖି ପଳାଇଲା; ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ଉଜାଣି ବହିଲା।

The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.

4 ପର୍ବତଗଣ ମେଷ ପରି ଓ ଉପପର୍ବତଗଣ ମେଷଶାବକ ପରି ଡିଆଁ ମାରିଲେ।

The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.

5 ତୁମ୍ଭର କʼଣ ହେଲା ଯେ, ହେ ସମୁଦ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପଳାଉଅଛ? ହେ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଜାଣି ବହୁଅଛ?

What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?

6 ହେ ପର୍ବତଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମେଷ ପରି, ହେ ଉପପର୍ବତଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମେଷଶାବକ ପରି ଡିଆଁ ମାରୁଅଛ?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?

7 ହେ ପୃଥିବୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ, ଯାକୁବର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ କମ୍ପିତ ହୁଅ;

At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 ସେ ଶୈଳକୁ ଜଳାଶୟ, ଚକ୍‍ମକି ପ୍ରସ୍ତରକୁ ନିର୍ଝର କଲେ।

Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
