ଗୀତସଂହିତା 11

1 ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ଶରଣ ନିଏ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କିପରି ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣକୁ କହୁଅଛ, “ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି ଆପଣା ପର୍ବତକୁ ଉଡ଼ିଯାଅ?”

To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain?

2 କାରଣ ଦେଖ! ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ସରଳଚିତ୍ତ ଲୋକକୁ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ବିନ୍ଧିବା ପାଇଁ ଧନୁ ନୁଆଁନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଗୁଣରେ ତୀରଯୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି।

For, lo, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3 ଯଦି ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ଧାର୍ମିକ କʼଣ କରି ପାରିବ?

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପବିତ୍ର ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସିଂହାସନ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଚକ୍ଷୁର ପତା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରେ।

The LORD [is] in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne [is] in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧାର୍ମିକର ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟପ୍ରିୟ ଲୋକକୁ ସେ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି।

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଜାଲ ବର୍ଷାଇବେ; ଅଗ୍ନି, ଗନ୍ଧକ ଓ ଝାଞ୍ଜି ପବନ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାନପାତ୍ରର ଅଂଶ ହେବ।

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion of their cup.

7 କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧର୍ମମୟ; ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକତାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି; ସରଳ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିବ।

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
