ଗୀତସଂହିତା 101

1 ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ମୁଁ ଦୟା ଓ ଶାସନ ବିଷୟ ଗାନ କରିବି। ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଗାନ କରିବି।

“A psalm of David.” I will sing of mercy and justice; To thee, O LORD! will I sing!

2 ମୁଁ ବିବେଚନାପୂର୍ବକ ସିଦ୍ଧ ପଥରେ ଗମନ କରିବି; ଆହା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେବେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ? ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ଆଚରଣ କରିବି।

I will have regard to the way of uprightness: When thou shalt come to me, I will walk within my house with an upright heart.

3 ମୁଁ କୌଣସି ମନ୍ଦ ବିଷୟ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ରଖିବି ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ବିପଥଗାମୀମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ମ ଘୃଣା କରେ; ତାହା ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଲିପ୍ତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes; I hate the work of evil-doers; It shall not cleave to me.

4 କୁଟିଳ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରୁ ଦୂର ହେବ; ମୁଁ ମନ୍ଦ ବିଷୟର ପରିଚୟ ନେବି ନାହିଁ।

The perverse in heart shall be far from me; I will not know a wicked person.

5 ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ଗୋପନରେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ଅପବାଦ କରେ, ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବି; ଯାହାର ଅହଙ୍କାର-ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଓ ଗର୍ବୀ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ, ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ସହିବି ନାହିଁ।

Whoso slandereth his neighbor in secret, him will I cut off; Him that hath a haughty look and a proud heart I will not endure.

6 ଦେଶର ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଯେପରି ମୋʼ ସଙ୍ଗେ ବାସ କରିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ମୋହର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରହିବ। ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ସିଦ୍ଧ ପଥରେ ଚାଲେ, ସେ ମୋହର ସେବା କରିବ।

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He that walketh in the way of uprightness shall serve me.

7 ଯେ ପ୍ରତାରଣା କରେ, ସେ ମୋʼ ଗୃହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। ଯେ ମିଥ୍ୟା କହେ, ସେ ମୋʼ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

He who practiseth deceit shall not dwell in my house; He who telleth lies shall not remain in my sight.

8 ମୁଁ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନଗରରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ଦେଶର ସକଳ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସଂହାର କରିବି।

Every morning will I destroy the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all evil-doers from the city of the LORD.
